what are you doing after you beat the game? if you care about completing the dex and frontier or you'll notice the qol changes missing in gens <6
being honest I mostly play nuzlockes
The dex is more fun to complete in older gens where you have to jump through more hoops to get each Pokemon, instead of them all being random encounters in a 10x10 tile friend safari or waiting around in an open field.
The unfeasibility of IV breeding despite the high difficulty of the battle frontier is the only real big problem with the game, you either have to learn RNG manipulation or miss enough content to be its own $60 game

definitely agree there. it's so fricked because the modern games would solve the battle frontier's issue and the battle frontier would solve a bunch of the modern games' issues
