That's not how Nikke works though. That doesn't seem to be how this game works either. Most of the timed 20 minutes seemed to be unskippable animations of your team running from room to room
God Blue Archive has spoiled me so much so that even 20 minutes per day for all chores seems long. Sweep should be an industry standard.

The first gacha game I ever played is also the most generous gacha game I've ever played, and its dailies take like literally 30 seconds, and you get a free pull on top of that. The second gacha I ever played is now dead, but it's was also very generous (though not as generous), and the dailies took like 5-10 minutes, with another 5-10 minutes for the weekly
I played Nikke for 4 months, and the entire time I hated it simply due to how long the dailies took. One day, the Union Raids just made me snap and I impulse uninstalled it and haven't looked back. It's crazy how much more free my day feels without being chained down to a gacha that has fricking hour long dailies

Yes its autobattler, like BA your mana regenerates and you can use that mana to use skill cards. And sometimes you can use ults I guess. Thats all the agency you have. Its BA without the erotic schoolchildren.

Closer to BA because skill have their particular range that can affect allies or enemies. In BA is important because some AOE skill can cover more field and other just small circular areas so studying the enemy timing is important for raid bosses.

They did a really dogshit job at getting you interested in the setting, just hurling tons of terms and characters at you before you have any context for anything and never seeming to stop and explain much of anything. The pacing is awful. Designs are unremarkable. Gameplay is whatever. Played for about two hours and then dropped it last night, I doubt it'll last a year before EoS.
I kind of agree with the criticism. I was completely lost and had absolutely no idea what was going on. The designs are also unremarkable and I only liked a single girl which was the SR with the bodysuit. I have nothing to say about the gameplay since I didn't expect anything to begin with so I guess I'm only left with the OST which was nice.
They really should improve these elements if they wanna retain their playerbase. It's only worth as a sidegacha as it currently is and even that's kind of reaching. Not bad, just incredibly meh. Will see if playing it on emulator will improve the experience somewhat.
It's so funny because the game literally has a section where you get all the "context" thrown to you at one go. They didn't even fricking try to properly write anything that would present all those things to you naturally. You literally have to ask them what each and every one is. It feels so cheap and unnatural. This is exactly what you SHOULDN'T do to get someone invested in your world.

They are both shallow auto battlers. If you're going to make an auto battler gacha you have to either make the story or the characters super well. Both games failed both of these. If you want an auto battler with dicky play BA, if you want coom play NIKKE, and the like. Though this is just mu opinion, if you're a sucker for shitty games go ahead and play it

I think they're hackers honestly. I'm at F131 and the enemy has 60k power already which is a bit more than 1k above F130. Assuming each floor increases power by around 1k then F200 would have 130k power at least.
I'm not sure if it's possible to hit that power unless you've spent 5-digits on this game already.

Eulya is a great a unit, but shes kinda trash without her first dupe to give her lifesteal.

Here's what you should be doing on a new account IMO
Roll on sirslet banner for screamer+his dupes (you want 3 copies of him in total) stop if you get Eluya, and then start rolling on her banner for the 2nd copy for lifesteal, OR keep rolling on sirslet banner till you get sirslet.
Eulya is better single target, better element overall, but sirslet is better in her element, better dealing with trash and less squishy. You also really want to pull either ceaser or the purple hair b***h tank.
Once you have one of those 2 dps, one of those 2 tanks + screamer you start rolling hardcore on the play banner for their gacha sets.
Your 4th unit is either Media or the $1 archer b***h.

I really don't get why can't they spawn on their own. Like just going there then poof they are there. Kind of pointless to tap to make them appear, not that there is like 1% chance for nothing to happen.

I seriously doubt that. Although to be fair, Star Rail requires a mindset that the usual gacha crowd doesn't have. It's a lot more similar to typical rpg esque games, or something like Another Eden. And it beats the living shit out of that game, that's for sure.
In other words, the charm lies in the detail. Exploring the world and taking your time instead of rushing the main story. There are so many great little hidden things in Star Rail, it's pretty insane. Plenty of Disco Elysium esque vibes you can also find in the game's narrator that likes to talk to you once in a while. It's an adventure in many different ways.
The writing quality is a big surprise outside of the main story as well. The main story is save and reminds me of Star Ocean when it didn't completely suck yet. But there's plenty of fun to find if you dig into trash cans, hide into closets and try to fish out coins out of a fountain that people threw in, among plenty of other stuff.
I can definitely see how there's a big crowd out there not appreciating that.. or never even seeing it, because all they think about is rushing content for more pulls, rerolling and other garbage. If you take your time though, there's a lot to like. I appreciate that it is VERY different from Genshin in that regard.

I wanted to get sheru however after seeing her skill only deflects projectiles & not meele attacks, I thought she wasn't worth it. my regular team is Eupheria, Rooco, Icicle, Media. they've been carrying me nicely particularly because I got lucky & 4 starred Media. now her ult deletes mobs in no time.

What teams do you guys use? I use Eluya, Ceasar, Media and Rita for just about everything, sometimes I replace either Media or Rita for Sheru if I need a little more bulk.

I feel bad for this game. The game had good aspects, but the devs made really dumb decisions. Like having a soft launch instead of a global one
they sent it to die, hopefully another publisher will buy it in the future
