What is the highest climbable mountain in a video game?
I mean a mountain that you can climb starting from its base all the way up to its peak without any loading screens nor artificial methods of preventing you from turning and going back down.

good idea matpat, get on it.
play peaks of yore
death stranding mountain zone, probably
How high is the peak?
The mountain peak is only recorded at about ~840m by the game
there's a few climbing games on steam. It's a recent new genre
You need to go outside dude. I just want to kill evil bad things in video games because I can't do that in real life until Joe biden steals the next election.
custom minecraft seed
Aren’t the mountains in Minecraft something like 50 to 300 meters high? Those are more like hills.
The ones in modded Minecraft don’t seem much higher.
idk I just said the first thing that came to my mind honestly.. if you did a custom map from bedrock to sky limit it'd be 384 blocks, with each block being a meter (3ft) so that's only barely over 1000ft... but since you have to jump every block that might make it feel artificially much larger
your mother you fricking b***h.
Probably in Just Cause.
This. Just Cause 2, 3 and 4 are the only games with real life sized mountains. I believe they are 3000-4000 meters tall. Too bad the cities and settlements suck. This franchise has great huge scaled environments.
I appreciate the scale of SC . I'm a real sucker for that in a video game and very few games do it. However my machine cannot run it and it's a good 5 years until its semi polished and finished.
Dream game would be a Minecraft 2 with earth sized mountains, huge view distances, and colony management with advanced block constructions
NTA but Star Citizen worked fine for me with 32gb RAM and a 3060ti, 60fps at 1080p. Ofc it's not really much of a game, just a technical marvel to fly around and dream of what could be/could have been.
icicle mountain in melee is endless
if I have to guess I'd say mount rainier in fuel
Came here to suggest this. Frick what a comfy game.
Mt. Tigonus in TES II: Daggerfall
It's technically climbable. However, your autism needs to be higher than the mountain itself.
Daaaamn, Dagerfall Unity looks like 'that'!?
not a mountain but i remember spending an entire sunday afternoon paintbrushing to the top of white gold tower
Did the same thing, and then you fall right through because there's no collision on the roof
that's a bug in the port, not in the original game
nta, is it a big that it's climbable or that there's a mountain to climb?
I only ever climbed walls to clip through bugged dungeons.
>nta
nobody gives a shit homosexual
nobody gives a homosexual shit
ssx 3
Mount Everest in flight sim I suppose
Can you land on it, step out of the plane, and climb the mountain on foot?
PUBG
the game that Ganker ran away from with its tail tucked between its legs and begged for a bot-only mode
Depending on your definition of a game...... note this isn't necessarily the largest one in the game just the first i saw a pic for
one of the ones in the distance might be larger /shrug
What an absolute waste of fricking development time
Don't be salty todd, you can walk to and up those mountains
What game is that from? Looks like something from ARMA, Wildlands, or a flight sim.
Star citizen
probably in Steep(?) but I don't know if you can "climb" them on foot
Skyrim
Played without fast travel and took roads everywhere, and not just spamming jump against a cliff.
Gained a new appreciation for the world, it's detailed and beautiful. There isn't anything else in gaming that provides the same feeling as reaching the peak as the morning rises, and a dragon circles above you in the skies.
not exactly the tallest mountains in gaming but the terralith mod for minecraft makes some pretty nice mountains
stfu dude. i takes shits taller than minecraft.
no idea, but if there's one, you can climb it
Probably that mountain climbing game about climbing mountains, right?
Mountain-Climbing Simulator 2k24?
Hiking Simulator 2k24?
probably in a Just Cause game.
Open Unreal/Unity default template first person scene. Open Blender, create prism primitive and scale to a billion. Import into Unity. Congrats.
Do it and post pics
Horizon Forbidden West has some nice mountain ranges.
earth btfo
Nervi 3 A, mount neverest in elite dangerous
Just Cause 2 has a really impressive map for its time
Hebra Peak?
