Normies don't have any barometer for judging game design. I don't think they see the cogs turning like we do, if they press buttons and something cool happens on screen, that's a good game to them.
That said, for all its flaws, TW3 is extremely comfy at times and is definitely not the most overrated game on OPs image for that alone.
