If he updated as frequently as he used to, this would have had potential to be solid, but after the first few patches with only minimal art improvement, removal of the incest components, and extremely long delays between patches, it's clear we're stuck with the rough garbage it began with, and it's lasted through somewhat of a weg renaissance where hundreds of new projects have sprung up and most have wound up better than what Summertime Saga put together. There's "hope" with whatever this "Tech Update" is, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

They aren't terrible for a weg (in fact the story is astounding by comparison to most other wegs), and while LITERALLY NOBODY gives a frick about the main plot, there's a lot of fun emotional things going on between the characters.
I really earnestly wish that in a game with as much sexual tension between characters that are not the MC, and in this game where you have a telescope, the ability to peek into windows and rooms, and countless opportunities to catch people casually naked, that there were more lesbian peek scenes. I don't know why it's literally only one scene and in one single position.
It legitimately grows on you. I thought it was a meme too, but I gave the game a shot and it's one of the better porn games I've played.

Main story is complete, but there's multiple characters without routes, the gym teacher's route is still incomplete so you can't finish pulling up your grades, Rhonda (your gym rival(?)) doesn't have a route yet, Odette's route isn't complete, Grace's route isn't complete because it ties into Odette's, Judith's route isn't complete, and there's pretty clearly more content planned with the Principal and her helper, and most likely her mom that runs the daycare. Like, there's a finished game there with a decent run of content, but I feel like he probably should have narrowed in on those characters before adding in the hidden girls.
Also I fricked up by not cucking that fat idiot friend at every possible turn so I missed out on June. Gonna start a new playthrough tonight.

The initial builds were very cucky, but the main guy made a conscious decision to rein it in and re-work the game so that he could chase the SS audience, but he's clearly chomping at the bit to get back to the stuff he actually likes, since he's been adding bits back in. The writer he'd hired to do the non-cuck stuff was in the f95 thread after the latest update essentially admitting he knew everyone was going to hate it, as it re-re-worked the opening to add more NTR intonations
The writing and scenes are kino, though. As far as I know, there's no NTR content yet, and there are already prompts in the game to avoid when it eventually gets added. Just don't do the cuck route and you'll still be playing the best weg out there

Strangely enough it's probably one of the more successful attempts inspired by the Earthbound style.
I think the gameplay is perfectly fine, quests are decent, there are some actually functional minigames beyond QTE, stuff to collect, and some secret areas. The map is perhaps unnecessarily large/empty to some degree, but not enough to really be a problem. Random RPGMaker games are typically at least twice as bad in that regard.
