the box can vary quite drastically, still 2 couriers and a save is another 5k, then 3k from the side objectives, then 2-3k from the complication or whatever its called, then whatever u get for completing it... should be well over 10k

>whatever u get for completing it... should be well over 10k
i got nearly 13k, but the mission itself was 2700. so i got about 10k just from on site cash collecting.
>destroy syndicate >get some indian dagger
Thanks Diana.
At least I got a Sieger for my very first syndicate.
That said, dumb question, but I didn't find it in the last thread:
When I finish a campaign, do I also lose all the money? I am at the last syndicate and have like 30k. What should I spend it on? Should I spend it on anything anyway? When doing the final showdown, does it even what I take and do because it will be reset anyway?
good, but I'd rather have unlockable knight outfit >kill one of the Black person sisters with a sword to complete the challange >grab gun >"thou art in the wrong kingdom, knave" >shoot way out of the island
the most fun I had in that dumb map to be honest
speaking of AI and paying for things, im not a twitchgay but i will miss atriocs custom contracts. they were pretty fun showcases of how moronic this game could get
Post your current vault poorgays.
And yes, the amount of money and gold in the vault is tied to how much Mercers you have currently.
I noticed this detail when I checked the stock market and lost 10k in one go, I saw one of the big pile of money instantly disappear lmao.
So I just bought world of assasination
Is there anything else not cosmetic that I need to buy to get more good maps or missions or whatever
Or does world of assasination basically include all the gameplay stuff?
get the deluxe pass for new york and maldives maps. it comes packaged with some other less interesting shit to drive up the price, but those two maps are a must
Yesterday keys were mid 20's but they jumped high today. I think it isn't possible anymore, unless ioi get their head out of their asses and let you just buy hitman 3 again(lol).
Jesus Christ don't play Hokaido alerted or as your showdown >enforcers and guards everywhere especially tightly packed in the surgical wards >awful spawns, either ninja crouch by guards and camers or the morgue table surrounded by guards >million cameras
it is, but you have to wait for both guards to be looking away and the 2 docs to look away also, then run backwards towards the stairs, usually have to wait like 1min to 1:30
It's an intense level. I had that one for my final campaign level which I fricked up. All the new NPCs and enforcers wandering around can easily catch you off guard.
>Even smaller maps were maid cancer
This is why I always choose syndicates with at least Whittleton Creek and Sapienza. Most maps are just horribly balanced in Freelancer when alerted or especially alerted showdown.
I still don't get the strategy for showdowns
It seemed like every possible suspect has at least one guard with them at all times, meaning you have to wait for them walk a specific path, then wait for them to walk back, then go along that path, take out a guard or guards on that path by defaul so you can take out the bodyguard following the suspect then knock out the suspect and zoom in with the fricking camera to see if it matches with the description
You don't need to take out guards for a picture.
I also noticed that if a suspect does both tells that you're looking for, it's pretty much the target. I've killed 3 of them so far this way and have yet to fail. Maybe eventually but not yet.
Had a nice and smooth showdown in Wittleton. 6 suspects, easily eliminated 4 from lack of a hat or black hair. Last 2 have nearly the same traits EXCEPT 1 stops to cough/sneeze a lot which isn't mentioned in the info so I ruled that one out too and then >watch routine of last remaining suspect to set up a nice accident for an extra $2k payout >suspect has a sweet tooth >watch what he eats and poison it with emetic when no one is looking >run to nearest bathroom to flood sink >let random npc turn off sink >bring car battery in after npc leaves >puddle is now electrified >suspect eats poisoned food and gets sick >runs to the bathroom >gets giga-fried by electrified puddle >take my time walking to the extraction
That might only be if the npc is an employee of some sort. The npc that turned off the sink in my game was just some person that happened to be nearby.
50 Merces adds up if you kill a lot of civilians. You’re already faced with a choice with a knocked out civilian as to wheter or not you want them to report shit to a guard if someone finds their body.
>Killed so many bodyguards on the cliff on Hokkaido that a surgeon and doctor were running around acting as pseudo guards reporting all the dead bodies >45 minutes just to get to someone on the operating floor
If I kill the target but one of the suspects escape do I fail the mission? Almost happened to me but I ran right in front of her and beat her to the exit
I really wish they added some body armor or something to help the loud objectives. It really sucks having to just sit behind cover and take potshots without any run and gun. The rest of it is a solid update and a great way to feel more hitman.
Yeah its great that the louder guns are way more useful outside of specific challenges but 47 only able to take like 5 hits and the AI are excellent marksman makes it way too risky outside of corridors where you can just box enemies with your covert shotgun.
1. download Hitman 3 Demo in steam
2. apply crack to the demo from https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2760120#p2760120
3. apply Mr_Goldberg's steam emu from https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2693878#p2693878
4. download, unzip and then start cracked peawiener from [[Please login to see this link.]]
I'm playing freelancer with it and it works with no problems
Does this circumvent the always online bit for regular bought copies too? I'd like to unlock stuff but also not need to be connected constantly while I do so. Or is peawiener the only option for that? I have no skin in whether someone pirates or buys, just genuinely curious. I also want everyone to be able to enjoy the game however they can as I find it quite fun.
So are some of the random challenges given for a mission just completely impossible?
There was one for poisoning a drink, but neither target had patrols where they drank anything as far as I could tell. Unless there's some other method of making them imbibe.
I'm so bad at this mode lmao.
RNG with a bit of static as in once a syndicate is selected all targets are chosen right then and there and that's basically it. So if a method is impossible on a target you just gotta accept it.
I think where this becomes a problem is in Hardcore mode, since not being able to complete a challenge is legit just a campaign failure. Since challenges become mandatory and all locations are alterted, meaning you fail a campaign if you fail a level.
Love the mode but it still needs tweeks and fixes, hell give back the overpowered phone from 2 as using it against one target against what could be 4 isn't a big deal anymore, let snipers have more leeway, as the above anon suggested maybe some body armor for challenges or hardcore mode. Just something really.
Alright, fair enough.
Also regarding challenges to kill/poison/interact with guards - does that just mean general authority figures on a map? Like random security guards all over the place, etc.
Protip: If you aren't in combat, you can just alt + f4 to exit the client, then log back in to `exit` a freelancer mission without causing any downsides.
It can let you reload if you mess up a silent assassination or something.
>aren't in combat
Bro you can do that even during combat, hell you can frick up a prestige objective in hardcore mode and do that to not frick yourself over. That's the only time I'd ever recommend doing that as doing that during normal play makes it less fun imo.
kind of a small thing but really annoys me is that he no longer brings out a disassembled rifle that he assembles from the briefcase, also they're too big and ludicrous to fit the briefcase which is why the walther historically made more sense
why is this always the copypasta that gets fed into the ai voice generator, it was funny the first few times but i'm getting bored of it now, already heard the jk rowling one too
You mean your freelancer campaign reset? I believe it counts your death even if you alt+f4 if you have died before actually pressing alt+f4. You have to alt+f4 before the mission actually fails or you definitively die. Otherwise it counts as a normal death/failure. Dying on alerts or showdowns makes you start all over except for maybe whatever weapons you have on the wall and your mastery unlocks for the house.
See if you can sign out of your IOI account and then sign back in. If that doesn't work, re-verify file integrity if on Steam. My guess is the alt+f4 corrupted your shit, but it shouls be retrievable since this shit is always online. If nothing else, restart your computer?
That's a pretty unique problem. The only other things I can guess to suggest are contacting IOI support, the support for whichever launcher you use, or re-download the game again.

>IO removed this because people b***hed about other people using it, which is essentially a single player game, because they refused to use it because it was so good so they wanted no one to use it
I swear this trilogy attracted such no fun allowed gays.
>Many challenges and story events require you to do other things >Even Elusive Targets in arcade have you needing to use melee weapons to get the SA rating >Freelancer tosses many targets at you in later stages
Hmm yes this item truly would or could ruin it all.
>challenges and mission stories
literally not diffucult, it's the SASO that's hard and the phone gives it basically for free on most maps >Elusive target arcade
A thing that wasn't in the game when they made the decision and the bonus objectives are completely meaningless >freelancer
Free consequence-less kills that count as accidents and don't trigger alerts wouldn't be op at all and is definitely in the spirit of the mode
>Its the SASO that's hard
bro you literally can save scum, that isn't hard at all
1 year ago
Anonymous
You couldn't save scum master mode in hitman 2, you know, the game that had the phone.

The only challenges that are worth a damn are those shitty gimmicky ones like in sgail or sniper only challenges. Which the phone cannot help you with.

SASO was infinitely harder than sniper assassin on almost every map
>same morons wanted io to remove or nerf the dart gun >they basically ignored them
if only they'd stop worrying over those babies and instead listen to people asking them to fix bugs instead since those actually potentially affect everyone unlike an optional item
I loved abusing the shit out of it but the electrocution phone made every target in the game (especially elusive targets which were supposed to be limited time high risk missions) essentially a joke, so I don't blame them for removing it.
I think it would work better as a level exclusive weapon or a very rare drop in Freelancer. That way it's still in the game but not a permanent unlock.
The problem I find, is you have zero fricking idea of the setup of the target
So like, yes sure, a nice big 'please make sure to shoot him for a bonus kek' helps but like, do you need a fricking sniper? Do you need poison to lure him to a bathroom? Do you need to throw a fricking concussion grenade because the homosexual never moves?
I doubt they will never return to Hitman. Now that he is free of an ICA connection they can have even more leeway with toppling other groups that want to be the next illuminati as freelancer is canon.
>stupidly get too close to a target >have to punch him and the civilian nearby out and snap their necks before someone sees
cant fret over every broken egg
I actually felt kinda bad the other night when some civilian witnessed me killing a target, so I had to kill him because No Witnesses objective, and he started apologizing and begging for his life when I aimed at him.
dont give io any ideas anon they would unironically do something like this
no joke if you do make someone slip while wearing the clown costume it should, like how 47 says "Ho. Ho. Ho." after killing a target with the santa costume
>Be me, some guard on Haven Island >Standing watch at the shallow pool area with a bar in it >Some angry bald dude jumps into a bush >Whatever these clients are weird sometimes >Banana comes flying out of the bush and hits some lady in the pool in the head >She stumbles and is dead on impact with the water
Command, we got a casualty, looks like an accident of some kind.
It has Hitman 1, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3. The only thing of worth that it doesn't have is Hitman 2's DLC locations, which are included in the Deluxe pack.
Haven is a good albiet pretty mixed response map because it has issues that were never fully addressed. New York is considered one of the best maps in the franchise not just this trilogy and god damn does it make freelancer more bareable with its presence. So I say yes its worth for those two. As for 3's 7 Deadly sins was mostly seen in negativity as most are pretty bad especially considering how IO can make such gold in comparison. The escalations from this are pretty good I guess, and you are given a bunch of cosmetics for your pad in freelancer.
World of Assassination was previously just Hitman 3 and that's has been on sale plenty times in the past, so if you shop around keysites you'll probably find a good deal for the base game. Maybe for the Hitman 2 DLC as well (called HITMAN 3 Access Pacss: HITMAN 2 Expansion).
i got it on berlin through pure luck. spawned at the entrance and he was right next to me, no assassin. then i used his phone to call all the others into the woods and get some free assassin kills.
Shame you gotta do so much to unlock a lot of the outfits. The single challenge outfits aren't too bad but getting mastery on every level is time consuming. Also it's bullshit that you can't unlock the ET outfits because of limited time bullshit. Some of those outfits are pretty cool.
>Diana gives a cool new baton >Bring it on the next missions >Pacify a bystander by tossing it at them >The baton falls in an unreachable spot
Yup, I'm thinking that's an ALT + F4.
>Toss the bought crowbar at a guard to pacify him as I didn't have a lockpick yet. >Notice the crowbar is falling through the floor and the level basically eats it
This is why I use it too, stuff like this is bullshit.
This stuff hasn't mattered before (at least to me) with save/load being a thing but now it feels almost constant.
There's no way the devs can test for every possible situation where this can happen but it really grinds my gears.
>Game makes Florida Man a target >Objective to emetic poison him >Do so >He teleports off the map out of bounds but is still alive
Oh yeah but you should totally never ALT+F4 guys
>Target is escaping and waiting for the meter to fill at exit point >Have him perfectly lined up with sniper >Fire twice, both shots don't register to hit him >Leader has escaped, better luck next time 47
Frick you. Alt+F4 for that one. I'll own up to my mistakes, but frick glitches.
>Toss the bought crowbar at a guard to pacify him as I didn't have a lockpick yet. >Notice the crowbar is falling through the floor and the level basically eats it

>this alerted hokkaido start in the morgue
Did they even test this?
Good thing I picked a weapon focused contract this time and brought a fricking SMG.
I take this on every mission regardless of the objectives and I would recommend doing the same if you get your hands on it. You don't need a briefcase for it and it's good for cleaning up messy situations without alerting even more people.
Only reason to use a controller in this game is if you have autistic outbursts when your walking with an NPC and your walk speed is different to theirs, otherwise M&KB is obviously better
Bros I have hitman 2 gold edition (which seemingly has everything) and I also bought WoA. Should I play hitman 2 normally or play it through WoA? Are there any major differences?
no theres no major difference, aside from the ui, which is only slightly different.
I have a question. Is there a bonus for recovering your original suit before you leave a mission? Or does it make zero difference if you leave with a disguise?
>exfil with a disguise to make it an option to start with, but have to pay 1000 for leaving your suit behind
what could have been
That would make no sense, 47 doesn't have a time machine to come back to the start of the mission with the disguise he acquired from running that same mission before
I have a question. Is there a bonus for recovering your original suit before you leave a mission? Or does it make zero difference if you leave with a disguise?
>gardener target and the girl surgeon who walks between the two rooms with a load of people in it >can i get her without being spotted? >wait! i brought a flash grenade! >chuck it when they all have their backs turned then throw scissors at her head
Nice.
its actually great man, extremely immersive and hud elements arent in the way. I also play alot of driving/racing sims so ultrawide w/ headtracking has been my goto. First person shooters i usually wont go 32:9, but if im playing a pretty game engine like rdr2 or hitman i cant help it.
I've posted this before but Freelancer feels like an alternate timeline where the Hitman series followed Codename 47's formula more than Hitman 2's >you have to buy guns >you can kill as many guards as you want without penalty >running and gunning is encouraged and sometimes required >death happens incredibly quickly with assassins and lookouts punishing new players
It'd be interesting to see what IO does with a new Hitman game or the Bond game to somehow combine the freedom of Freelancer with the ratings autism of normal Hitman
I like Freelancer a lot, simply because I can kill guards without penalty for an aggressive hit and run style. Unfortunately I still haven't finished a campaign because I suck at identifying targets in showdowns, or the game outright crashes just before I finish a mission.
Holy frick I'M SO FRICKING BAD YET KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT.
Got a target at Berlin who smoked alone by the docks, so I tossed him but got caught at the last second apparently. Snuck my ass out though.
Then I had three targets at New York. Botched it before even starting after getting caught looking suspicious by a very persistent guard. Killed half the security team, strangled first target, poisoned the second without getting caught somehow, then blew up the last with a golf ball since he was surrounded by people.
I'm having fun but boy oh boy I suck ass.
You lose the equipment you bring with you on a mission if you die. You get some money for completing contracts but you get most of your money fulfilling objectives or finding coins. Basically the move incentivizes you to play more recklessly than normal Hitman gameplay and adapt on the fly
This happens more often than it should, I rarely ever get targets near the beginning on the street level. I mostly like the map but it get tedious basically playing it like what anon says
>basically have to play the whole normal mission just to get to them
why can't the game just make this girl a target for once
I feel Hokkaido isn't too bad if it isn't on alert and you are not gunning for SA of any kind if you get the terrible spawn point. But the other two can frick right off no matter what.
>Berlin >Poison Target >Poison Guard >Prestige: Silent Assassin >Roll a lethal syringe from the safehouse box >Don't have any other poison >Load into mission, target is a guard >mytimeisnow >The second I press the button to jab him he detects me and it becomes the qte melee >Everyone is alerted >I just snap his neck and sprint to the exit in shame
>playing Dartmoor >kill 3 guards with a shotgun objective >buy a silenced shotgun >figure I don't need the briefcase since I'm already in a guard disguise >shit goes bad when I try and kill guys >escape, find a butler disguise >don't want my 13k shotgun to go to waste so look for my briefcase again and find it >come back to where I dropped the shotgun >guard found and took it because the bathroom I knocked the butler out is a place where they dragged dead bodies
REEEE WHERE IS MY FRICKING GUN
As someone who works from home and does a lot of zoom conferences and has to screenshare a lot...idk man I would never in a million years risk this. I use a completely different machine for that kind of thing.
>haven island >try to take out the second target >got some nitroglycerin from a crate >he's a guard at the mansion >he walks past a wall >i aim carefully to toss the nitroglycerin from cover in the bushes over it >at the last second i touch the right stick >i throw it right against a tree, it bounces back and kills me
wow, i suck. but it looked pretty funny.
>campaign failed on the very last mission
somebody needs to be punished for this
if I had a child I would be getting the belt and hitting them for breathing too loudly or some other excuse
Poison needles are such a gamble. If you're slightly facing the wrong way or the target is, you accidentally clobber them in the face unstead causing a lot more of a ruckus. If the needle was easier to use it'd be a god send because of the death counting as an accident on top of the silence, provided no one physically saw you inject them.
Poison in general is a gamble in some levels. Sometimes poisoning a drink is no issue while another time despite the same circumstances someone despite their back's turned somehow sees you.
id rather just eat the bonus than risk finding an angle to take him out in the middle of camp surrounded by people.
>Playing Hitman 2 >Get to Sgail >The head of the illuminati are two Black person b***hes that dress like rappers
Cringe.
well yeah. the illuminati are literally the progressive liberal bogeymen you read about on /misc/. also they arent the leaders. try actually playing the game.
>that random ass witness who suddenly develops eagle vision and sees you dragging a body around >get so mad I unload all my ammo on their corpse before restarting
This game is making me realize I might be a psychopath.
>bumbling moron waddles into a corner he has no business being in and zeroes in on my shit I had to leave there when climbing >it's a map with garbage everywhere like india
>Freelancer making me hear the menu theme more often >Miss 2016 and 2018's themes
I wished all three tracks randomly played when going back to the menu, they allowed the mission clear music of those two games to be played after beating a mission from those games so I don't think its unreasonable.
Since it's all wrapped into one game now, they should really have those things in the options, for the music and UI themes. I THINK there are some mods for that stuff though.
I was in this situation in Sgail. Do they ever stand down? Because I stayed out of sight for like 15 mins and they just kept running around screaming...
I eventually bit the bullet trying to shoot my way out.
I agree shit a dude on Ambrose island at the pirate side of the map from in a bush behind cover at a pretty good distance and I was immediately in "combat" status.
Depends where your target spawns. The worst locations for alerted/showdowns are those with tons of enforcers and an enclosed environment like Hokkaido
Good morning sirs, I took used to fear Mumbai too but I actually find it's one of the few maps where when things go south you actually have enough space and options to recover. It's nowhere as bad as shit hitting that fan on Hokkaido or Bangkok
I MADE IT!
It was really tense sneaking around Rangan's building where most of the suspects where. But once i singled out the target I used a burner phone to bait her into one of the chawl apartments.
pic is me getting cozy with the target in the wardrobe

I think anon may have brought 2. If you bring 2 guns like that only one will be in the case, there's even a tool tip on the loading screen warning against bringing two large weapons for exactly that reason.
They just wrapped them all up into one game on the 26th. If you only owned 3 before that then you got 1+2 for free. I think it's on sale atm? You could try buying a key for 3 a lot cheaper off some key site too. You automatically get 1+2 now no matter what. Or pirate it, I don't care.
So yes if I own 1 and 2 I'm paying the price for all 3 in order to play this mode. Fricking hell what is wrong with IOI? Hopefully one of these idiot teams get hebedod sooner or later to encourage them not to shit in my corn flakes like this
>Electrocute someone >Already walking away before it happens >Guard 30 feet away is still standing at attention but immediately becomes an enforcer and compromises me
I don't get it. I swear, I don't have problems with other maps but Haven Island is filtering me so fricking hard. The only map I've rage alt+f4'd on.
>Bangkok Showdown >Get the woman's room keycard >Go to her room to get a Class outfit >Lookout wanders into her room and spots me >THE TARGET IS ESCAPING 47 RUN
best part about freelancer is when you really frick up, you get a fun John wick situation and it can be really fricking intense to escape and survive and or, get the targets before they escape etc. All the assault rifles and shit finally have a use.
>Get a Sieger 300 >Any time I pull it from the briefcase 47 has to actually assemble it >Get a Sieger 300 Advanced >It just magics out of the briefcase and doesn't need assembled
>Watch a video of this guy doing a hardcore final showdown >he just plugs all the guards at a sniper point then makes all the suspects panic until Diana says one of them is the leader, then snipes them
so this is peak hitman
I keep spawning in positions on maps where it's literally impossible to not get caught by guards which blows like all my objectives and missions. Like a little hallway on marrakesh with two locked doors, only way out is a window into a room with like 8 ak 47 guards. Same with hokkaido, spawning way up on a hill overlook and can't do anything cause there are two guards blocking the path who patrol up and down it. Colorado also with the water tower.
I don't think it's a bug but they really shouldn't make missions actually impossible considering one frick up and you're done. When you can only frick up and lose everything it feels just worthless to keep playing.
>China Showdown with 6 frickos >Thought I had the right one, had all the right tells, but apparently the meeting thing I saw wasn't the actual meeting thing I thought the major tell was. >Manage to eventually slink around to one of the others, try to poison her, end up punching her instead because FRICK THIS GAME >She drops a burner phone, oh hey must not be the target, dodged a bullet! >Call the other suspect on the burner, kill her when she arrives >The target was actually the unconscious woman
FRICK YOUUUUUUUU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I did worse than that. I knocked one out who I was sure wasn't it. Killed the one who I thought was. Wasn't them. Used phones to lure more out. Killed them one by one. Stacked 5 bodies. Still wasn't it. The target was the first guy I knocked out apparently.
Yeah I got it in freelancer too, just give it a minute or two and go back to the menu. You're connected so it's still sending that shit to the server, just make sure your wifi is on when it happens
In NY is the front door the only escape for suspects? Like if I loaded it with the trip mine and some proximity stuff could I just spook em and have them herded to the slaughter?
probably not, but youd need a lot of explosives if it is because they leave with a gang of guards around them. and it couldnt be any of the big explosives because those are spotted by npcs for guards to take to the gun box.
i had 2 suspects trying to escape and all i had was an ak and a frag grenade. despite the group of like 12 npcs huddled together, the frag only got 2 guards before i was gunned down.
>Haven Island >Throw a starfish at a target in some bushes >Crime noticed and SA objective is crossed out >Look around >Don't see anyone >Search almost immediately ends >Sit there for a bit >Nobody comes by alerted >Guards nearby don't care >Civilian walks down right by it on her path without a care
This map is fricking garbage.
He definitely doesn't have tinnitus or else you'd hear 47 going "MHAWP. MHAWP MHAWP. MHAWP." Every time something explodes or a gun goes off in a small room.
Just finished Ambrose for the first time (Freelancer). All the exits except one are locked. Are they things that unlock from doing the campaign, or do all the exits need special keys and shit? That's annoying if that is the case.
was hitman never mainstream? I always assumed that people who fricked with metal gear, assassins creed, dishonored, stealth games in general, knew about and played the hitman franchise. I mean blood money is pretty much a cult classic for stealth games.
Hitman is in this weird middle ground where culturally everybody who played a video game knows Agent 47 is a bald guy in a suit who goes around killing people, but it's not extraordinarily popular or anything.
Hitman was always critically acclaimed and well known among video game enthusiasts, but as anons said it's not popular enough to have a huge mainstream audience.
Blood Money was when the franchise sort of blew up, Absolution was IOI trying to expand into the mainstream gaming space but failing, so they decided to go "frick it" and listen to the fans for Hitman: World of Assassination games and now due to it being so well received in this modern day and age it has blown up in popularity once again.
Hitman was basically on the same level as Deus Ex, Thief, and Planescape Torment. A well known franchise that didn't really have mainstream appeal. Now it does with World of Assassination being one of the most popular games on the market, and now largely thanks to it's rogue-like mode.
>bumbling around like a moron in maps I almost never play like mumbai and chicago trying to take out targets >finally get a freelancer hit on a map I know inside and out like miami >effortlessly complete every objective and leave unnoticed
map knowledge really is the biggest part of freelancer, goddamn
Arms Trafficking syndicates side objectives are pretty straightforward, it's often shooting the target with x kind of weapon, shooting 3 guards with x kind of weapon, and such.
Well, that was an immediate failure.
I almost got away with it, but I got so greedy and decided to do the guard shotgun kill challenge as a way to end the final target and his goons, but fricking security just poured out of every god damn direction...
Yeah, those challenges you have to be careful because you basically are guaranteed to get alerted unless you're using a suppressed weapon. Plan out a escape route ahead of time or if you wanna play like a coward, quietly knock out dudes, drag them to a secluded/safe area, then blast them.
Arms Trafficking syndicates side objectives are pretty straightforward, it's often shooting the target with x kind of weapon, shooting 3 guards with x kind of weapon, and such.
I only played a few Freelancer missions and failed hard. To recap, if you frick up the showdown, you always start back to square one with zero inventory? Meaning the first mission is always terrible if you get shit out of loot box?
Yes. You get mastery rank unlocks as you progress and keep weapons you have stored at the safehouse. Various tools are 1-time use and only stay at your safehouse for the duration of your campaign or until you die with them on a job or fail a showdown/alerted job. The mastery unlock some items around the safehouse that will always be available to grab before a job like the stethescope, banana, rusty nails, and eventually other more useful stuff like poisons. Money is halved when you die. You can buy weapons and tools off suppliers during jobs.
What's your favorite level aesthetics wise and favorite level gameplay wise?
For me it's Berlin and Miami respectively. Chongching gets an honorable mention because it looks fricking astonishing but is complete dogshit for gameplay
Berlin/Miami for VR because the crowd panic AI is funny, especially from the DJ booth in the pit @ Berlin. Hokkaido/Whittleton Creek for best flat screen map.
How is the VR? I haven't heard anything about it specifically. I've got a WMR set in a storage unit a few states away I'm really eager to get back so I can try it. Can you do anything in the game in VR or is it restricted to normal missions? I feel like there'd be some sort of jank VR cheese in freelancer
I don't think you can play Freelancer in VR, only some escalations pre-Hitman 3 are available in VR but every map's campaign mission is playable. There is a mod on the Nexus though that unlocks EVERY level for VR, not sure if it's been updated since we got that new island, mind you.
Sgail was my favorite campaign map for a fresh play. Its so difficult to go from the docks all the way to the glass cube. Kino map. Its length and difficulty do make it not so fun to replay though.
okay frick it, i'm obviously not knowledgable enough about the maps, so i'm going back to finish all the challenges in all the locations before i come back to freelancer.
WHO THE FRICK KEEPS DROPPING THEIR WEAPONS ON THE FLOOR? I SWEAR TO FRICKING GOD ME AND ANOTHER GUARD FOUND LIKE FIVE DIFFERENT PISTOLS ALL SCATTERED AROUND AND WHEN WE PUT THEM BACK GUESS WHAT I FIND ON THE WAY BACK? ANOTHER FRICKING GUN. SERIOUSLY GUYS ITS NOT FRICKING FUNNY.
>clock in to my first shift as a security guard contractor >I'm supposed to pat down people at an event entrance for a few days >45 minutes in some guy walks up and I tell him I gotta pat him down >stares me dead in the eyes, turns right back around and leaves >dumbfounded and have no fricking idea what to do so I pretend it didn't happen >10 minutes later he comes back in a security uniform and I'm required by protocol to wave him through since he's technically my superior now
I'm afraid if I report this I'm going to lose my job so I just haven't said anything
>need to get underground in mendoza >blast a guard far away in the face >after another guard drags the body into the underground, smash them in the face with a wine bottle once they open the door back outside
>Morocco >Game starts me in the school >Walk away with two assault rifles, a handgun, explosives, and a dart gun bought from a supplier
I couldn't do the Silent Assassin prestige because both fricking targets were in the market thoroughfare, but oh well, still a pleasant return.
>that fricking Miami security guard in the VIP area who inexplicably has every track employee, waiter, security guard, and pit crewmember's face committed to memory
>get prestige mission to hit a target with a baseball bat >ok i'm going to an American suburb there must be one in nearly every home >there's 1 on the entire map
somehow the racetrack has 3
I mean I guess, I probably wouldn't think much of it to see a (white) guy walking down the street with a cricket bat but we don't have the violence you do
Are visual traits like tells in that if somebody has one that isn't listed it means they aren't the suspect? like if they have earrings without that being listed?
>Do a repetitive task over and over again to make money >Save up to buy a real katana >It costs almost all of my money >Put it on my wall
This might be the most realistic game I've ever played.
before i go on to do challenges again, i'm just going through all the levels once. just did the carpathian mountains, first time around i just shot the constant, but injecting him with the serum is fricking kino, holy shit. going to do ambrose island for the first time tomorrow.
nice, i never got around to playing it since i only came back to hitman now for freelancer, only to realize how much i suck at the game
I remember when III launched a lot of guys on this board just shot him, my first instinct was always to inject him. It's so fricking good
shooting him is pretty satisfying as well though, especially if you do it with your handcrafted silenced pistol. in general, while the mountains might not be a great location, they make for a great end to the trilogy in terms of atmosphere.
how the frick do you deal with the guys playing poker on ambrose? i always get one as my target and theres literally zero safe ways to take him. no traps in the building and a million people right outside so its impossible to bait him out. NEVER take an SA prestige on ambrose.
hopefully theres someone smarter than me thats figured it out but the best way ive found is >grab the molotov off the bomb making table in the pirate base >get a wrench and turn off, then start a gas leak on the stove with the whistling kettle >hang around the back door to keep it open and make the flirting soldier notice it >run back to the ground floor between poker shack and stove shack >prep your molotov to toss in the window >when the stove blows, let it loose and haul ass to the exit
if done right, it should minimize the amount of witnesses and only kill guards.
Just did the ark island place for the first time >get initiated >the moment i notice the target is escorting me through an obscured stairwell with dump, throw a hammer at the guard and shuriken at the target's head with zero hesitation >keep going through where she was escorting me anyway, find the next target right behind a door >throw coin to distract everyone in the room followed by shuriken to the head
fun game, way too easy to get away with certain things but that probably makes the creative solutions a lot more fun
Makes later missions easier if you have decent shit to kill with like sniper rifles or suppressed weapons. Even just having extra distractions is nice, the levels are made much more bare so you will want shit to throw around.
>have cover blown and end up in firefight >fighting my way towards a target >suddenly get notification that I killed a target
Managed to kill the other target and get out too
>tfw things go south on the final hit of the final mission and the target is alerted but you keep playing until you die and alt+f4 but you manage to kill dozens of guards, kill the target in their panic room and exit without issue
>Playing Ambrose Island for the first time >In the Militia Base after taking out both targets >See a bottle of water and poison it because why the frick not may as find out who it belongs to >"That's Orson Wells, I doubt you'll be catching him with his pants down this time."
This poor man.
So if a Showdown target does all the tells and fits the appearance, do I have to still worry about their Agenda to really be sure if they're the right one?
I don't know the answer to your question exactly but bear in mind if somebody does a tell not listed it means they aren't the target, I think appearance stuff is the same
yes, but the confusing part is that they attend a meeting that isnt their type but not actually "participate". theyll show up and talk, but only one of them will get the meeting type icon. suspects will also drop a phone of their type of meeting, so thats a way to be sure.

>ywnbaw
prove it.
Liking New York is some kind of moronic psy-op. This map is so fricking shit and boring, it just makes me wanna murder every single person there.
It’s kino though. Plus, you can get a shit ton of cash by robbing the vault.
filtered
True to the source location at least!
its an easy 15k AT LEAST each run
is that hardcore? i just did a new york with 2 couriers and a safe and got ~10k.
nah not hardcore. the vault has over 6-10k of mercers in it.
yeah i did the vault. the 3 loose merces and pulling the box.
the box can vary quite drastically, still 2 couriers and a save is another 5k, then 3k from the side objectives, then 2-3k from the complication or whatever its called, then whatever u get for completing it... should be well over 10k
>whatever u get for completing it... should be well over 10k
i got nearly 13k, but the mission itself was 2700. so i got about 10k just from on site cash collecting.
Just like the real New York.
I met Dermot Mulroney. He was really chill.
Frick mandatory prestige objectives
Those are only In hardcore mode or whatever it's called, correct?

Thanks Diana.
At least I got a Sieger for my very first syndicate.
That said, dumb question, but I didn't find it in the last thread:
When I finish a campaign, do I also lose all the money? I am at the last syndicate and have like 30k. What should I spend it on? Should I spend it on anything anyway? When doing the final showdown, does it even what I take and do because it will be reset anyway?
nope, you keep your money and get quite a bit more im pretty sure
nothing resets after finishing a campaign. at least not on normal difficulty
does hitman really have lootboxes?
no, it's for a new gamemode called freelancer, you start with a limited inventory and you get supply crates every mission
I've beat the showndown in China twice and both times it crashed to desktop. I am mad.
Names are for friends... so I don't need one..

I customized my furniture with the classic and old looking ones, and here's what I found on of them
Post your current vault poorgays.
Or does world of assasination basically include all the gameplay stuff?
get the deluxe pass for new york and maldives maps. it comes packaged with some other less interesting shit to drive up the price, but those two maps are a must
thanks i hate it
this isn't so bad, the objective synergize pretty well so I don't-
>Colorado
oh.
Where i can get this game for 25$ or under? i have 1&2 already
Yesterday keys were mid 20's but they jumped high today. I think it isn't possible anymore, unless ioi get their head out of their asses and let you just buy hitman 3 again(lol).
ioi does not understand how to sell a fricking videogame lmao
Jesus Christ don't play Hokaido alerted or as your showdown
>enforcers and guards everywhere especially tightly packed in the surgical wards
>awful spawns, either ninja crouch by guards and camers or the morgue table surrounded by guards
>million cameras
>alerted showdown
>spawn in the morgue
i don't even know if tis possible to get off the bed without being spotted.
it is, but you have to wait for both guards to be looking away and the 2 docs to look away also, then run backwards towards the stairs, usually have to wait like 1min to 1:30
It's an intense level.
Oh yeah, you guys are still filling out the armory
get a job moron
I do, retail
No need to be rude anon, speedrunning starts taught me how to exploit the AI to the fullest
Jesus christ, bro
I still don't get the strategy for showdowns
It seemed like every possible suspect has at least one guard with them at all times, meaning you have to wait for them walk a specific path, then wait for them to walk back, then go along that path, take out a guard or guards on that path by defaul so you can take out the bodyguard following the suspect then knock out the suspect and zoom in with the fricking camera to see if it matches with the description
Is there an easier way?
You don't need to take out guards for a picture.
I also noticed that if a suspect does both tells that you're looking for, it's pretty much the target. I've killed 3 of them so far this way and have yet to fail. Maybe eventually but not yet.
>Is there an easier way?
Shoot and run.
Also, what is your problem with bodyguards, they're rarely also enforcers.
I think the key with Assassins is that, even though they deal a lot of damage, they still run and react as much as any other NPC.
If you have a mindset of "Shoot the suspect, hide around a corner in a cabinet" there isn't a lot the assassin can do.
Had a nice and smooth showdown in Wittleton. 6 suspects, easily eliminated 4 from lack of a hat or black hair. Last 2 have nearly the same traits EXCEPT 1 stops to cough/sneeze a lot which isn't mentioned in the info so I ruled that one out too and then
>watch routine of last remaining suspect to set up a nice accident for an extra $2k payout
>suspect has a sweet tooth
>watch what he eats and poison it with emetic when no one is looking
>run to nearest bathroom to flood sink
>let random npc turn off sink
>bring car battery in after npc leaves
>puddle is now electrified
>suspect eats poisoned food and gets sick
>runs to the bathroom
>gets giga-fried by electrified puddle
>take my time walking to the extraction
For a showdown it went SHOCKINGLY smooth.
well done
but NPC clean up the water puddle after turning off the sink?
That might only be if the npc is an employee of some sort. The npc that turned off the sink in my game was just some person that happened to be nearby.
What's the penalty for shooting guards?
I think you lose like 50 mercers.
Damn then it's fricking well worth it to just shoot them sometimes. Thanks!
Literally nothing for guards, civilians are 50 (including lookouts and some assassins) and 1000 for killing a wrong suspect
Oh damn I thought all civilians were 1000, this changes things significally.
They should increase the penalty for killing civilians to 1000 as well, 50 is fricking nothing.
50 Merces adds up if you kill a lot of civilians. You’re already faced with a choice with a knocked out civilian as to wheter or not you want them to report shit to a guard if someone finds their body.
It’s a risk vs. reward thing.
The risk is too small, 50 Merces is nothing considering you make at least 500 per missions if you don't do any side objectives
if they found a dead body wouldn't the targets start running anyways?
>guards don’t cast anything when killed
holy shit this changes everything for me
>Killed so many bodyguards on the cliff on Hokkaido that a surgeon and doctor were running around acting as pseudo guards reporting all the dead bodies
>45 minutes just to get to someone on the operating floor
you lose nothing. killing civilians costs 50, killing the wrong suspect is 1000.
Hahahah I always blast the civvies and never noticed this
no one ever does because it doesnt affect your payout, just your wallet. its just a little red -50M under your cash count for about a second.
There is no penalty for killing guards. Only for civilians and suspects.
I hate it, if they looked like "syndicate" guards then it would be fine but it doesn't feel right killing security guards
feel like guards should be a 50 or maybe 25 penalty while civs should be 100
Do you get more money per task eventually?
Like I'd like to take more than a fricking gun with me but it seems like there's so much expensive shit
How are your runs going hit bros
What the frick just happened? Also dying in one hit?!
Nerve gas
have you just never actually played the game?
I've never used that method so I was confused.
he electrocuted himself
Wait till you see compilations of people blowing themselves up.
i guess there was a exposed wire that i didnt see i think thats the first time i ever died to electricity
If I kill the target but one of the suspects escape do I fail the mission? Almost happened to me but I ran right in front of her and beat her to the exit
No, game doesn't care about suspects escaping if they're not the real target.
just a friendly reminder that their called merces. like merces letifer. not mercers.
i know that they are called mercers
who doesn't?
Mandela effect
They were called Mercers until I noticed it changed yesterday
>diana lootboxes
I can crack her open for prizes?
>You are freely able to kill her after the first completion
Not gonna lie, its just too funny not to.
SEXO
*HONK HONK*
I really wish they added some body armor or something to help the loud objectives. It really sucks having to just sit behind cover and take potshots without any run and gun. The rest of it is a solid update and a great way to feel more hitman.
Yeah its great that the louder guns are way more useful outside of specific challenges but 47 only able to take like 5 hits and the AI are excellent marksman makes it way too risky outside of corridors where you can just box enemies with your covert shotgun.

What do you guys think about Patient Zero?

And then after all this I die from dropping a Nitroglycerin infront of the safe
Where's the fricking PEAwiener crack to make it work with cracked versions?
pirates btfo
1. download Hitman 3 Demo in steam
2. apply crack to the demo from https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2760120#p2760120
3. apply Mr_Goldberg's steam emu from https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2693878#p2693878
4. download, unzip and then start cracked peawiener from [[Please login to see this link.]]
Can you reload saves to farm mastery?
In campaign? Yes.
In freelancer? No.
Thank you sir
For me it's Hokkaido, love that map, Miami is pretty sweet as well
So are some of the random challenges given for a mission just completely impossible?
Wait you can do that even during combat? Oh man...
>Atrioc crying and apologizing with his wife on stream for jerking off to deepfakes of other streamers
What does this mean for the Hitman community?
>jerking off to deepfakes of Sweet Anita
where do I find them to see how bad they are?
Aspectacor and co are the ones at the forefront of Hitman speedrunning now. Atrioc hasn’t held a World Record since before he got married.
In other words, it won’t affect much since Atrioc’s legacy is carried by the people he trained, regardless of what happens to him.
Depends on the size of the outrage

He does. Depends on the rifle

>accident kill
The best kills next to a mass electrocution or a bunch of propane tanks exploding. Drowning someone in a toilet is pretty satisfying too.
another job well done, 47.
why is this always the copypasta that gets fed into the ai voice generator, it was funny the first few times but i'm getting bored of it now, already heard the jk rowling one too
What am I allowed to throw at people on Haven Island that can lead to accidental kills/drownings? Just food? Do coconuts count as food?
Lost access to all the content after alt f4ing a freelancer death, anyone having a fricking clue how to fix this?
You mean your freelancer campaign reset? I believe it counts your death even if you alt+f4 if you have died before actually pressing alt+f4. You have to alt+f4 before the mission actually fails or you definitively die. Otherwise it counts as a normal death/failure. Dying on alerts or showdowns makes you start all over except for maybe whatever weapons you have on the wall and your mastery unlocks for the house.
No I mean I literally don't own any levels including freelancer as far as the game is concerned. No access to anything
kek shitter btfo
I beat the whole fricking thing and got seen through a wall on the way out I DESERVED THE WIN
See if you can sign out of your IOI account and then sign back in. If that doesn't work, re-verify file integrity if on Steam. My guess is the alt+f4 corrupted your shit, but it shouls be retrievable since this shit is always online. If nothing else, restart your computer?
None of that works, but I can at least ocnfirm my profile is saved and still on their, it's literally just the licenses
That's a pretty unique problem. The only other things I can guess to suggest are contacting IOI support, the support for whichever launcher you use, or re-download the game again.
Lmao, can't even cheat correctly. Get fricked.

>IO removed this because people b***hed about other people using it, which is essentially a single player game, because they refused to use it because it was so good so they wanted no one to use it
I swear this trilogy attracted such no fun allowed gays.
>trivializes everything in the game
how fun
>Many challenges and story events require you to do other things
>Even Elusive Targets in arcade have you needing to use melee weapons to get the SA rating
>Freelancer tosses many targets at you in later stages
Hmm yes this item truly would or could ruin it all.
>challenges and mission stories
literally not diffucult, it's the SASO that's hard and the phone gives it basically for free on most maps
>Elusive target arcade
A thing that wasn't in the game when they made the decision and the bonus objectives are completely meaningless
>freelancer
Free consequence-less kills that count as accidents and don't trigger alerts wouldn't be op at all and is definitely in the spirit of the mode
>Its the SASO that's hard
bro you literally can save scum, that isn't hard at all
You couldn't save scum master mode in hitman 2, you know, the game that had the phone.
The only challenges that are worth a damn are those shitty gimmicky ones like in sgail or sniper only challenges. Which the phone cannot help you with.
SASO was infinitely harder than sniper assassin on almost every map
>same morons wanted io to remove or nerf the dart gun
>they basically ignored them
if only they'd stop worrying over those babies and instead listen to people asking them to fix bugs instead since those actually potentially affect everyone unlike an optional item
I just love Berlin as a showdown, even better if you start on the roof of the motorcycle club, gives you so many opportunities to handle it.
>Freelancer finally removes my SASO autism
>But still doesn't stop me from hoarding new items and never actually bringing them with me on missions
ACK
The problem I find, is you have zero fricking idea of the setup of the target
So like, yes sure, a nice big 'please make sure to shoot him for a bonus kek' helps but like, do you need a fricking sniper? Do you need poison to lure him to a bathroom? Do you need to throw a fricking concussion grenade because the homosexual never moves?
>Everyone praising Freelancer gameplay now
>Mfw H4 releases and is the same thing, but with actual lootcrates and premium currencies.
I believe hitman 3/wow is the last installment of the franchise. Studio's working on the 007 game,
Maybe for the time being, but IO will return to Hitman eventually. It’s their flagship series, afterall.
They have 3 different studios now, they're most likely are working on new Hitman right now.
I doubt they will never return to Hitman. Now that he is free of an ICA connection they can have even more leeway with toppling other groups that want to be the next illuminati as freelancer is canon.
Freelancer has MTX though, they're just shit cosmetics
>Pursue the Faba Syndicate
>These 2 are the Assassins on the final showdown
I hope they'll remove that you lose all your Freelancer gear when you die, even the gear you leave at the safehouse.
>giving a shit about what other people do in their games
>Using placed bananas to make couriers slip and drop their mercers
I love this mode
A banana is essentially free merces. Sometimes good for a funny kill if you plan it out right.
Do bananas always kill people?

I actually felt kinda bad the other night when some civilian witnessed me killing a target, so I had to kill him because No Witnesses objective, and he started apologizing and begging for his life when I aimed at him.
Does a slide whistle play when they slip?
dont give io any ideas anon they would unironically do something like this
if you kill Sierra in her car with any gold gun a slide whistle plays for some reason
no joke if you do make someone slip while wearing the clown costume it should, like how 47 says "Ho. Ho. Ho." after killing a target with the santa costume
>Be me, some guard on Haven Island
>Standing watch at the shallow pool area with a bar in it
>Some angry bald dude jumps into a bush

Command, we got a casualty, looks like an accident of some kind.
Does HITMAN WORLD OF ASSASSINATION on steam have everything?
It has Hitman 1, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3. The only thing of worth that it doesn't have is Hitman 2's DLC locations, which are included in the Deluxe pack.
Hmm what would be the best deal to buy everything then?
Haven is a good albiet pretty mixed response map because it has issues that were never fully addressed. New York is considered one of the best maps in the franchise not just this trilogy and god damn does it make freelancer more bareable with its presence. So I say yes its worth for those two. As for 3's 7 Deadly sins was mostly seen in negativity as most are pretty bad especially considering how IO can make such gold in comparison. The escalations from this are pretty good I guess, and you are given a bunch of cosmetics for your pad in freelancer.
Thanks for the response anon I'll go ahead and buy it then
World of Assassination was previously just Hitman 3 and that's has been on sale plenty times in the past, so if you shop around keysites you'll probably find a good deal for the base game. Maybe for the Hitman 2 DLC as well (called HITMAN 3 Access Pacss: HITMAN 2 Expansion).
No, its missing some dlc stuff for 2 and 3, maybe 1 as wellbut I'm not sure.
well Ganker? you arent bad at the game, are you?
honestly so glad i got this out of the way as early as i did.
You can actually get this and then closing the game so its not that hard to get just need a little luck oh and whittleton creek.
i got it on berlin through pure luck. spawned at the entrance and he was right next to me, no assassin. then i used his phone to call all the others into the woods and get some free assassin kills.

Shame you gotta do so much to unlock a lot of the outfits. The single challenge outfits aren't too bad but getting mastery on every level is time consuming. Also it's bullshit that you can't unlock the ET outfits because of limited time bullshit. Some of those outfits are pretty cool.
Because of the uptick in playerbase due to freelance mode they are gonna rerun them again.
I like the music playing outside at base. It's peaceful.
I like how serious the soundtrack gets as soon as you get into 47's bunker, makes me want to get shit done.

>Game makes Florida Man a target

>He teleports off the map out of bounds but is still alive
Oh yeah but you should totally never ALT+F4 guys
>Target is escaping and waiting for the meter to fill at exit point
>Have him perfectly lined up with sniper
>Fire twice, both shots don't register to hit him
>Leader has escaped, better luck next time 47
Frick you. Alt+F4 for that one. I'll own up to my mistakes, but frick glitches.
If they weren't running away from you in a straight line you missed. There's such a thing as time of flight.

now bend over

>command I just heard a strange noise, moving in to investigate
>this alerted hokkaido start in the morgue
Did they even test this?
Good thing I picked a weapon focused contract this time and brought a fricking SMG.
I take this on every mission regardless of the objectives and I would recommend doing the same if you get your hands on it. You don't need a briefcase for it and it's good for cleaning up messy situations without alerting even more people.
I usually bring the assassin pistol but skipped it this time. Only SMG I had to fit in my pockets was the DAK X2.
so is absolution canon?
yes, but its barely ever brought up
explain how it's canon then
Is m&k good or should I stick with controller?
Only reason to use a controller in this game is if you have autistic outbursts when your walking with an NPC and your walk speed is different to theirs, otherwise M&KB is obviously better
>game makes the waiter that investigates a distraction the only target
>finally have the collector's crowbar, lockpick, coin, and both tranq guns
time for them to never leave the wall
redeem it
I just noticed that the old Texan guy in Hokkaido doesn't even sound like an old Texan...
fun fact: that guy is the brother of the "i dont normally yee haw" villain in absolution.
>pick prestige for SA
>go to knock out some dude with a banana
>NO PLEASE
>Unconscious Witness
this happens way too often
Bros I have hitman 2 gold edition (which seemingly has everything) and I also bought WoA. Should I play hitman 2 normally or play it through WoA? Are there any major differences?
You should play the campaign maps at least once. If you are really planning on tackling freelancer you should familiarize the maps to a decent degree.
no theres no major difference, aside from the ui, which is only slightly different.
>exfil with a disguise to make it an option to start with, but have to pay 1000 for leaving your suit behind
what could have been
That would make no sense, 47 doesn't have a time machine to come back to the start of the mission with the disguise he acquired from running that same mission before
locations are in a perpetual time loop but freelancer is set after hitman 3 and is supposed to be what he does for a living now.
I think Blood Money had a fee to recover your suit if you didn't exit the mission with it.
I have a question. Is there a bonus for recovering your original suit before you leave a mission? Or does it make zero difference if you leave with a disguise?
Nope, no bonus.
>gardener target and the girl surgeon who walks between the two rooms with a load of people in it
>can i get her without being spotted?
>wait! i brought a flash grenade!
>chuck it when they all have their backs turned then throw scissors at her head
Nice.
>Assassin blocking the house party door
fricking boomer assassins
*pumped up kicks starts playing*
damn that looks like shit. i dont know why anybody plays games on a ultrawide.
its actually great man, extremely immersive and hud elements arent in the way. I also play alot of driving/racing sims so ultrawide w/ headtracking has been my goto. First person shooters i usually wont go 32:9, but if im playing a pretty game engine like rdr2 or hitman i cant help it.
Different anon here. I agree with you on the extra wide ratios though mainly just for the ggadded FOV.
PEAwiener V6 HAS BEEN CRACKED
YOU CAN PLAY FREELANCER ON CRACKED HITMAN 3 COPIES NOW
check the funny Russian site
I have two maps left, one of which will be my showdown map. Which is better for the showdown, Mendoza or Paris?
paris. mendoza is alright for showdown just for those enclosed bushes, but paris is way easier to get around in.
Plus the Helmut disguise is too good and easy to get.
I've posted this before but Freelancer feels like an alternate timeline where the Hitman series followed Codename 47's formula more than Hitman 2's
>you have to buy guns
>you can kill as many guards as you want without penalty
>running and gunning is encouraged and sometimes required
>death happens incredibly quickly with assassins and lookouts punishing new players
I'm having fun but boy oh boy I suck ass.
>complete campaign
>Diana gives me a circumcision knife
So how does the new mode work exactly? Worth redownloading for?
Yeah it's fun, the added objectives make you play the game differently
It's rogue like right? I'm guessing you get money for completing contracts to buy equipment with or something?
You lose the equipment you bring with you on a mission if you die. You get some money for completing contracts but you get most of your money fulfilling objectives or finding coins. Basically the move incentivizes you to play more recklessly than normal Hitman gameplay and adapt on the fly
finally only have like 5 items left before I have the briefcases full
>Syndicate operates out of Hokkaido, Mumbai, or Colorado
>Showdown in China
>Big Trouble in Little China
>Targets are at the top in Husk's lab and at the bottom in Royce's lab
>basically have to play the whole normal mission just to get to them
why can't the game just make this girl a target for once
>Chongching walkway
This happens more often than it should, I rarely ever get targets near the beginning on the street level. I mostly like the map but it get tedious basically playing it like what anon says
I feel Hokkaido isn't too bad if it isn't on alert and you are not gunning for SA of any kind if you get the terrible spawn point. But the other two can frick right off no matter what.
>Berlin
>Poison Target

>kill 3 guards with a shotgun objective
>buy a silenced shotgun
>figure I don't need the briefcase since I'm already in a guard disguise
>shit goes bad when I try and kill guys
>escape, find a butler disguise
>don't want my 13k shotgun to go to waste so look for my briefcase again and find it
>come back to where I dropped the shotgun
>guard found and took it because the bathroom I knocked the butler out is a place where they dragged dead bodies
REEEE WHERE IS MY FRICKING GUN
where's the suppressor on this? it just looks like a muzzle brake
its the whole barrel
Does that actually work
its basically just the same kind of gun as the krugermeyer, but in rifle form.
As someone who works from home and does a lot of zoom conferences and has to screenshare a lot...idk man I would never in a million years risk this. I use a completely different machine for that kind of thing.
>haven island
>try to take out the second target
>got some nitroglycerin from a crate
>he's a guard at the mansion
>he walks past a wall
>i aim carefully to toss the nitroglycerin from cover in the bushes over it
>at the last second i touch the right stick
>i throw it right against a tree, it bounces back and kills me
wow, i suck. but it looked pretty funny.
>campaign failed on the very last mission
somebody needs to be punished for this
if I had a child I would be getting the belt and hitting them for breathing too loudly or some other excuse
I failed on the very last mission too and went on a tilt-spree where I lost all my good guns trying to speedrun back to where I was.
I know that pain all too well.
I like how you can tell the developers aren't familiar with America
why would a suburban neighborhood have a 30pmh speed limit instead of 25 and speed bumps on the roads?
Poison needles are such a gamble. If you're slightly facing the wrong way or the target is, you accidentally clobber them in the face unstead causing a lot more of a ruckus. If the needle was easier to use it'd be a god send because of the death counting as an accident on top of the silence, provided no one physically saw you inject them.
I never even use them, using a dart gun is way safer even if you're visibly armed
Poison in general is a gamble in some levels. Sometimes poisoning a drink is no issue while another time despite the same circumstances someone despite their back's turned somehow sees you.
just be a waiter bro
haha yeah...
The militia cook, who's also armed?
id rather just eat the bonus than risk finding an angle to take him out in the middle of camp surrounded by people.
well yeah. the illuminati are literally the progressive liberal bogeymen you read about on /misc/. also they arent the leaders. try actually playing the game.
I like how command doesn't care about all the guards who go to investigate noises then report back in
there are lootboxes now? is the patch good?
>that random ass witness who suddenly develops eagle vision and sees you dragging a body around
>get so mad I unload all my ammo on their corpse before restarting
This game is making me realize I might be a psychopath.
>bumbling moron waddles into a corner he has no business being in and zeroes in on my shit I had to leave there when climbing
>it's a map with garbage everywhere like india
>Freelancer making me hear the menu theme more often
>Miss 2016 and 2018's themes
I wished all three tracks randomly played when going back to the menu, they allowed the mission clear music of those two games to be played after beating a mission from those games so I don't think its unreasonable.
Since it's all wrapped into one game now, they should really have those things in the options, for the music and UI themes. I THINK there are some mods for that stuff though.
>Playing Hitman 2
>Get to Sgail
>The head of the illuminati are two Black person b***hes that dress like rappers
Cringe.
nah they just lead the schizo rich people prepper group
>objective is to literally kill them
>get a buffet of options to commit the deed
>you can burn one of em alive during the ceremony
I'd say it balances out.
>showdown
>colorado
>water tower spawn
I'm a moron
Explain to me the whole World of Assassination shit they're trying to pull. What happens if I own the complete 1 and 2 but not 3?
how many times does this question have to be answered just go to the website and read it you moron.
Because they always pull this shit. Never forget the whole Epic transfer save thing. And they didn't even mention anything about non-H3 owners.
Help me I'm scared and carrying half my safehouse
they will never de-aggro
i'm gonna put on some youtube on 2nd screen, i'm not peeking out of here
>youtube on 2nd screen
how do you tab out without the game pausing?
I'm not kidding you're gonna have to alt-f4 or eat the death
they will literally never de-aggro when you're on the water tower
UNLOAD ON THAT HIPPIE COMMMIE PINKO QUEER
I was in this situation in Sgail. Do they ever stand down? Because I stayed out of sight for like 15 mins and they just kept running around screaming...
I eventually bit the bullet trying to shoot my way out.
is enemy ai different in this gamemode? swear I've never seen guards this aggressive even when i do a rambo mission guns blazing
the water tower on Colorado has always been bugged like that
I agree shit a dude on Ambrose island at the pirate side of the map from in a bush behind cover at a pretty good distance and I was immediately in "combat" status.
there is absolutely some sort of hidden modifier to the guard AI or damage, I play master in the campaign and it's way more brutal in freelancer
Pistol snipe them all carefully and slowly from cover
I'm on my last showdown now
>Mumbai - alerted territory
I'm scared..
>Alerted
DO NOT REDEEM
I MADE IT!
It was really tense sneaking around Rangan's building where most of the suspects where. But once i singled out the target I used a burner phone to bait her into one of the chawl apartments.
pic is me getting cozy with the target in the wardrobe
whops, pic
congratulations sir
Depends where your target spawns. The worst locations for alerted/showdowns are those with tons of enforcers and an enclosed environment like Hokkaido
Good morning sirs, I took used to fear Mumbai too but I actually find it's one of the few maps where when things go south you actually have enough space and options to recover. It's nowhere as bad as shit hitting that fan on Hokkaido or Bangkok
i wish you, didn't start in a public place if you chose to bring a visable weapon.
it comes in a briefcase so i dont see the problem.
I think anon may have brought 2. If you bring 2 guns like that only one will be in the case, there's even a tool tip on the loading screen warning against bringing two large weapons for exactly that reason.
So if I own 1 and 2 do I actually have to pay for them again if I want to play this new mode?
They just wrapped them all up into one game on the 26th. If you only owned 3 before that then you got 1+2 for free. I think it's on sale atm? You could try buying a key for 3 a lot cheaper off some key site too. You automatically get 1+2 now no matter what. Or pirate it, I don't care.
So yes if I own 1 and 2 I'm paying the price for all 3 in order to play this mode. Fricking hell what is wrong with IOI? Hopefully one of these idiot teams get hebedod sooner or later to encourage them not to shit in my corn flakes like this
>Electrocute someone
>Already walking away before it happens
>Guard 30 feet away is still standing at attention but immediately becomes an enforcer and compromises me
I don't get it. I swear, I don't have problems with other maps but Haven Island is filtering me so fricking hard. The only map I've rage alt+f4'd on.
>Bangkok
>Bangkok Showdown
>Get the woman's room keycard
>Go to her room to get a Class outfit
>Lookout wanders into her room and spots me
>THE TARGET IS ESCAPING 47 RUN
best part about freelancer is when you really frick up, you get a fun John wick situation and it can be really fricking intense to escape and survive and or, get the targets before they escape etc. All the assault rifles and shit finally have a use.
>Get a Sieger 300
>Any time I pull it from the briefcase 47 has to actually assemble it
>Get a Sieger 300 Advanced
>It just magics out of the briefcase and doesn't need assembled
Funny, the WA2000 isn't even deconstructible IRL without special tools
why is it suspicious to use a keycard reader sometimes
because why would a waiter have a keycard for the security room?
>Watch a video of this guy doing a hardcore final showdown
>he just plugs all the guards at a sniper point then makes all the suspects panic until Diana says one of them is the leader, then snipes them
so this is peak hitman
If you're trying to get to level 100 as fast as possible, then that makes sense.
It's still there, I played the map yesterday.
Anyone know if the cloroform bottle is still right near the security ventilation in NY or do I need to bring my own now?
it is. theres also one in one of the deposit boxes so you can take one home too.
Wow, between the merces, the shit in the lockboxes and easy access to the best disguise NY really is the gift that keeps giving for this mode
it's still there
I keep spawning in positions on maps where it's literally impossible to not get caught by guards which blows like all my objectives and missions.
When you can only frick up and lose everything it feels just worthless to keep playing.
unless the mission has a SA requirement, just kill people.
Assassins have to store their coins SOMEWHERE when they go out on a mission/retire.
I humbly request close up screencaps of Diana's feet. Thanks fellas
why would the bank in New York have a stockpile of an assassin currency
I thought it was just a bitcoin type thing
Remember that the bank and the now-defunct ICA were both Providence assets. Of course the vault is stocking Blood Money.
>China Showdown with 6 frickos
>Thought I had the right one, had all the right tells, but apparently the meeting thing I saw wasn't the actual meeting thing I thought the major tell was.
>Manage to eventually slink around to one of the others, try to poison her, end up punching her instead because FRICK THIS GAME
>She drops a burner phone, oh hey must not be the target, dodged a bullet!
>Call the other suspect on the burner, kill her when she arrives
>The target was actually the unconscious woman
FRICK YOUUUUUUUU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I did worse than that. I knocked one out who I was sure wasn't it. Killed the one who I thought was. Wasn't them. Used phones to lure more out. Killed them one by one. Stacked 5 bodies. Still wasn't it. The target was the first guy I knocked out apparently.
Great single player game you have here, IOI.
I got this too, it should have saved your progress just go to the menu
This is freelancer. I'm scared. I did all of the objectives too.
Yeah I got it in freelancer too, just give it a minute or two and go back to the menu. You're connected so it's still sending that shit to the server, just make sure your wifi is on when it happens
Steam was down temporarily, Hitman service was still up - could not reach Steam authenticator but I agree that's pretty fricking gay
In NY is the front door the only escape for suspects? Like if I loaded it with the trip mine and some proximity stuff could I just spook em and have them herded to the slaughter?
probably not, but youd need a lot of explosives if it is because they leave with a gang of guards around them. and it couldnt be any of the big explosives because those are spotted by npcs for guards to take to the gun box.
i had 2 suspects trying to escape and all i had was an ak and a frag grenade. despite the group of like 12 npcs huddled together, the frag only got 2 guards before i was gunned down.
wtf they just let me in here with a block of plastic explosives in my pants pocket
They are called Mercers, not Merces.
Mandela effect won't fool me
this joke would be believable if "merces" wasnt a term that existed in hitman since c47.
This is the angriest a game has ever made me.
>Suspicious
WHO IS THIS butthole, ANYONE KNOW THIS GUY?
>Change into uniform in bathroom at work
>Get shot
>Change disguises
>Some guy runs in and sees me changing
>HOW'S HE CHANGE CLOTHES SO FAST
>poison guy's drink as he sees me dump it in
>just run down the stairs until he goes off alert
>he drinks it anyways
>see some guy holding his stomach walking slowly
DAMN
>spend all merces before the showdown
>mercilessly gun down every suspect until you get the right one
nothing personnel s*ndicates
>Florida Fit
>Tucked in polo shirt
>Chinos
>No belt
>Loafers
>No socks
This is truly, genuinely the most perfect outfit in the game.
47 is a sharp dude. In a lot of senses.
>Haven Island
>Throw a starfish at a target in some bushes
>Crime noticed and SA objective is crossed out
>Look around
>Don't see anyone
>Search almost immediately ends
>Sit there for a bit
>Nobody comes by alerted
>Guards nearby don't care
>Civilian walks down right by it on her path without a care
This map is fricking garbage.
To add to that, my no witnesses objective didn't fail.
It was probably the guy you knocked out
I killed the target. Did they patch out targets not breaking SA if they see you without reporting it or is that like a freelancer rule?
Anyone figure out "sometimes maybe good. Sometimes maybe shit" challenge yet?
where are my tactical turtleneck bros at
Right here. Do you think 47 has tinnitus? Do stem cells reverse that?
I don't suppose he does since it would've came up during the GAMA facility check which said he was borderline superhuman with no flaws whatsoever
He definitely doesn't have tinnitus or else you'd hear 47 going "MHAWP. MHAWP MHAWP. MHAWP." Every time something explodes or a gun goes off in a small room.
the time has come and so have i
god the ghost makes me so hard
frick me that looks glorious... I've only ever come across the silenced smg for 10k mercers
>Some guy I knocked out earlier goes to investigate a noise
>"uh please don't throw anything at my head again"
Finally... The bathroom is complete.
>47 is stoically taking a shit
>duck walks over across to the bath tub to wipe
Just finished Ambrose for the first time (Freelancer). All the exits except one are locked. Are they things that unlock from doing the campaign, or do all the exits need special keys and shit? That's annoying if that is the case.
>top hitman streamer right now doesn't know how to leave Miami
do people really just jump right into Freelancer? Jesus
People jump into anything for the twitch views with no experience if it's the hot fotm thing.
I guarantee whoever that twitch streamer is, they will not be playing Hitman again after a week max.
Moonmoon is a gtarp streamer
He is clout chasing, ignore him
moron
have a nice day you gtarp fricking troony
You are nothing and youll never be a woman
double moron
>whole bunch a streamers who have no idea what there doing trying to play freelancer
its genuinely hurts watching some people play this game
was hitman never mainstream? I always assumed that people who fricked with metal gear, assassins creed, dishonored, stealth games in general, knew about and played the hitman franchise. I mean blood money is pretty much a cult classic for stealth games.
Hitman will always remain a niche game no matter what and it's a good thing.
reminder that there are 2 (TWO) hitman movies. its a well known franchise, it just never took off in a popularity explosion.
Now that think about i feel like hitman really isnt talked about that much unless you somewhat keep up with the game and community
Now it does with World of Assassination being one of the most popular games on the market, and now largely thanks to it's rogue-like mode.
why are you watching streamers and not playing the game?
what else am i supposed to do while the game takes 4 hours to load on my ps4
would probably load faster if a stream wasnt eating up your bandwidth.
im not watching a stream EVERY time it loads anon and it still just as slow either way
>bumbling around like a moron in maps I almost never play like mumbai and chicago trying to take out targets
>finally get a freelancer hit on a map I know inside and out like miami
>effortlessly complete every objective and leave unnoticed
map knowledge really is the biggest part of freelancer, goddamn
>chicago
colorado**
maybe he was playing Absolution
it was my post I was correcting myself
how come the safehouse is the same shape as the funeral place from the end of Blood Money
I have barely managed to get this far through sheer willpower and unintended mass murder.
What should a brainlet choose?
Well, that was an immediate failure.
I almost got away with it, but I got so greedy and decided to do the guard shotgun kill challenge as a way to end the final target and his goons, but fricking security just poured out of every god damn direction...
Yeah, those challenges you have to be careful because you basically are guaranteed to get alerted unless you're using a suppressed weapon. Plan out a escape route ahead of time or if you wanna play like a coward, quietly knock out dudes, drag them to a secluded/safe area, then blast them.
>walks up to you
>shoves camera in your face
>walks away
>not a word is said through the whole thing
How do you respond Ganker?
?
Uh not to be rude but your breath smells like a gerbil crawled up your ass and died.
>Resumes what I was doing
no time to respond, I've got a meeting
Arms Trafficking syndicates side objectives are pretty straightforward, it's often shooting the target with x kind of weapon, shooting 3 guards with x kind of weapon, and such.
meant to
POV
poison target objective makes showdowns way to easy
just bring dart guns and shoot suspects until it completes
How can one handgun be so based?
>competition pistol with a silencer
Chongching gets an honorable mention because it looks fricking astonishing but is complete dogshit for gameplay
>play Berlin with controller
>controller vibrating to the music
Kino map. Its length and difficulty do make it not so fun to replay though.
okay frick it, i'm obviously not knowledgable enough about the maps, so i'm going back to finish all the challenges in all the locations before i come back to freelancer.
if you don't know all the number pad codes are you even really trying?
Thinking of doing an agent 47 aka the perfect human. Would i be good?
*cosplay
just pulled the legendary shortballer after finshing my first campaign frickin 11 targets in miami, loving this mode.
Gunfu. I'm literally Solid Snake.
the cringe gun
it would be cool if it wasnt the poverty option.
Don't care. Still using it.
>Isle of Sgail
>One of the targets is named Geralt Rivera
Do I get mastery for destinations when playing the Freelancer mode?
no, freelancer has its own mastery meter. you should have max mastery in all the levels before you play freelancer anyway.

I would pay money to just get the suit without having to play that map

>clock in to my first shift as a security guard contractor
>I'm supposed to pat down people at an event entrance for a few days
>45 minutes in some guy walks up and I tell him I gotta pat him down

>dumbfounded and have no fricking idea what to do so I pretend it didn't happen
>10 minutes later he comes back in a security uniform and I'm required by protocol to wave him through since he's technically my superior now

yep, infiltration successful.

>Morocco
>Game starts me in the school
>Walk away with two assault rifles, a handgun, explosives, and a dart gun bought from a supplier
I couldn't do the Silent Assassin prestige because both fricking targets were in the market thoroughfare, but oh well, still a pleasant return.
>that fricking Miami security guard in the VIP area who inexplicably has every track employee, waiter, security guard, and pit crewmember's face committed to memory
is 7 deadly sins worth it
only about 3 of them are actually fun to play, but the rewards are good.
>get prestige mission to hit a target with a baseball bat
>ok i'm going to an American suburb there must be one in nearly every home
>there's 1 on the entire map
somehow the racetrack has 3
Well I got it why the frick is it considered an illegal item in a suburban neighbourhood
Least cops can carry them around
No adult walks around with a baseball bat out who isn't trying to pick a fight.
Especially not in a town that's owned by a criminal mastermind.
I mean I guess, I probably wouldn't think much of it to see a (white) guy walking down the street with a cricket bat but we don't have the violence you do
Unironically, wear the clown outfit and take A New Bat.
Is it actually possible to get a new bat in freelancer?
To be honest, anon, I'm not sure. I thought I saw a space for it on the weapon wall, but I'm not in front of my computer to check.
I bought one from a merchant in Morocco yesterday.
Are visual traits like tells in that if somebody has one that isn't listed it means they aren't the suspect? like if they have earrings without that being listed?
yes. same with the traits. a smoker/sweet tooth wont stop to drink something.
Is coughing a tell?
coughing/sneezing is the allergy one. the icon above their head will change to show what tell theyre currently doing.
>Do a repetitive task over and over again to make money
>Save up to buy a real katana
>It costs almost all of my money
>Put it on my wall
This might be the most realistic game I've ever played.
>47 brings it on a mission
>it snaps in half as he tries to chop someone with it
fricking mall katanas
wtf I love Diana.
tfw mommy brings me pistols and chicken tendies
SEX with DIANA BURNWOOD
before i go on to do challenges again, i'm just going through all the levels once. just did the carpathian mountains, first time around i just shot the constant, but injecting him with the serum is fricking kino, holy shit. going to do ambrose island for the first time tomorrow.
for me its making 47 take the serum.
also ambrose is the best map in 3. as long as you arent playing freelancer.
nice, i never got around to playing it since i only came back to hitman now for freelancer, only to realize how much i suck at the game
shooting him is pretty satisfying as well though, especially if you do it with your handcrafted silenced pistol. in general, while the mountains might not be a great location, they make for a great end to the trilogy in terms of atmosphere.
I remember when III launched a lot of guys on this board just shot him, my first instinct was always to inject him. It's so fricking good
Ready for Colombia boys
How many mercer's do you have, Ganker
About 5,000
merces
about 15k, because i just hit mastery level 9.
like 1k. I keep blowing my mercers on sexy silenced smgs and silenced snipers that I intimately end up losing because fricking lookouts
how the frick do you deal with the guys playing poker on ambrose? i always get one as my target and theres literally zero safe ways to take him. no traps in the building and a million people right outside so its impossible to bait him out. NEVER take an SA prestige on ambrose.
hopefully theres someone smarter than me thats figured it out but the best way ive found is
>grab the molotov off the bomb making table in the pirate base
>get a wrench and turn off, then start a gas leak on the stove with the whistling kettle
>hang around the back door to keep it open and make the flirting soldier notice it
>run back to the ground floor between poker shack and stove shack
>prep your molotov to toss in the window
>when the stove blows, let it loose and haul ass to the exit
if done right, it should minimize the amount of witnesses and only kill guards.
I think never take an SA prestige in general is better advice
Just did the ark island place for the first time
>get initiated
>the moment i notice the target is escorting me through an obscured stairwell with dump, throw a hammer at the guard and shuriken at the target's head with zero hesitation
>keep going through where she was escorting me anyway, find the next target right behind a door
>throw coin to distract everyone in the room followed by shuriken to the head
fun game, way too easy to get away with certain things but that probably makes the creative solutions a lot more fun
Is it viable to ignore money completely? I've failed a few campaigns already but never due to lack of equipment.
Makes later missions easier if you have decent shit to kill with like sniper rifles or suppressed weapons. Even just having extra distractions is nice, the levels are made much more bare so you will want shit to throw around.
having guards as targets can be nice sometimes
they come straight to you which leads to an easy kill when their guard (lol) is down
>have cover blown and end up in firefight
>fighting my way towards a target
>suddenly get notification that I killed a target
Managed to kill the other target and get out too
>rusty crowbar
Frick off with this shit.
Rusty nail is worse. If you get one, you HAVE to drop your lockpick to use it and make it leave your inventory.
you can't just drop the rusty nail?
nope
>tfw things go south on the final hit of the final mission and the target is alerted but you keep playing until you die and alt+f4 but you manage to kill dozens of guards, kill the target in their panic room and exit without issue
you can't alt-f4 if you die
>Playing Ambrose Island for the first time
>In the Militia Base after taking out both targets
>See a bottle of water and poison it because why the frick not may as find out who it belongs to
>"That's Orson Wells, I doubt you'll be catching him with his pants down this time."
This poor man.
Assassination campaigns are my bread and butter but I’ve decided to try the accidental kill theme one this time wish me luck Dianasters!
So if a Showdown target does all the tells and fits the appearance, do I have to still worry about their Agenda to really be sure if they're the right one?
yes
I kill them if the physical traits fit.
I don't know the answer to your question exactly but bear in mind if somebody does a tell not listed it means they aren't the target, I think appearance stuff is the same
yes, but the confusing part is that they attend a meeting that isnt their type but not actually "participate". theyll show up and talk, but only one of them will get the meeting type icon. suspects will also drop a phone of their type of meeting, so thats a way to be sure.
so apparently you can't go past guards even if you did the interview in the bank, fun learning things real REAL fun
new bread pls
