Who bought?
I bought a 4090 to play the pirated version
Man, I have no idea what's with Empress' hateboner against J. K. Rowling.
Source? I thought Empress hated trannies. My other guess would be because Rowling is a leftoid
>not knowing he's a self loathing troon who lashes out at other troons
I respect anyone that hates trannies
Nvm, I got it wrong. Empress does stand with J.K. Rowling. His last crack gave me mixed signal.
>why does a literal troony hate Based K. Rowling?
I wonder
I bought twice. Once for PS5 so my brother could play and again on PC so I could get the mod that turns your wand into a glock.
It's a pretty good game.
me
it's the game I have played the most the last two years except karryn's prison
I wonder if the open world could be actually good or if it doesn't fit with hogwarts. they could have magic rings, amulets, etc to equip like dnd
>karryn's prison
>This product is not available in your country.
wew lad
Frick this gay-ass shithole.
It's a freeware.
Every games in existence are freewares.
Like an actual mmo where you can travel the world, visit other schools or major cities that have wizard presence and and blow up muggles with your friends.
Not me, playing it right now thovghever. It's got some great points and is overall at least okay. Mind you, I modded it a lot so I'm basically not seeing jeets and nogs for example.
I believe she ended up selling 30% more merch after trannies tried to cancel her.
>entire setting is about a school
>can't have children in it
Seeing the castle was the only thing this had going for it and the layout is completely fricked to make it gamey.
And of this year 2024 the best selling shall forth be Palworld.
Streisand effect
Nobody would've even heard of the game if it wasn't for the constant seething on gaming "journalism" sites and twitter
sounds familiar doesn't it
I'm confident people would have heard about a competently made open world Harry Potter game just fine.
I know a chick who bought a PS5 just to play this game and she hasn't owned a console since the PS3 which she barely used
I'm willing to bet she's not alone in this
bitches love Hogwarts
Being able to create your own blonde Slytherin bawd makes it worth playing
You can't do that.
I did
The 40 gorillions of normies fan of Harry Potter? It's not rocket science. 40 gorillions of normies fan of a franchise that didn't have a game in a decade + a decent 7/10 ubisoft open world surfing on nostalgia = 40 gorillions units sold.
Like, is that a surprise? What's a surprise it took so long for the Black persontroons of the vidya industry to fricking deliver a decent HP game.
And there's not much to discuss because it's just ok. Once the conversation about the ridiculous 95% Black folk population of Hogwarts and the equally ridiculous woke ``boycott'' (pffft) died down, there is nothing much to say about the game. It's ok.
but the trannies boycotted the game!!
how could this be!
It's almost as if they are a very very loud, small group of mentally ill "people" who belong in a mental institution.
it was pretty based how it made trannies angry but I didn't have to buy it for that to happen. Im not a fan of ubisoft games
I bought it and it was entertaining enough, didn't finish it though since I got distracted.
the sequel could easily be 10/10 if they have better story and more creative gameplay and items
More Hogwarts
More class / slice of life stuff
Maybe a moral system / points system
would be kino
I imagine they will be given a bigger budget due to how insanely successful this one was
Hogwarts Legacy 2 really needs to expand their scope, more actual Hogwarts stuff with better characters and maybe Persona mechanics.
>Who bought?
me
the average consumer doesnt care about internet discourse
damn, I thought all the trannies were boycotting it?
What happened?
Aren't they an enormous part of the market? Isn't that why we're pandering so hard to them industry-wide?
Not quite
Trannies have moved on to being mad about the HBO show coming out
BUT THE BOYCOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? troonybros
People who like Harry Potter and don't post on Twitter. There's a lot of people who didn't even know that gaymers were trying to boycott the game. Vocal minority and brownie points gaming news really didn't do anything to stop the sales
I bought it, I played it for about 30 minutes then refunded it because ray tracing ultra doesn't work on my 4080. Yes I could turn graphics down or RT off but I shouldn't have to. Might buy it again if they ever fix it.
you're supposed to use DLSS when you use RT in any game, anon
And it didn't win a single award because of how butthurt leftist sjw journalists are over this game.
talked about it after a week
Normie forums banned all discussion of it. They didn't want to lose 0.01% of the community that was threatening to leave if they allowed discussion(looking at you knockout. You love to shit on Ganker, but you love browsing it even more).
>Normie forums
Normies don't use forums
You would probably have to go to Facebook to see normies talk about the game, but Ganker prefers regurgitating content from Twitter and Reddit for its content, so we don't really get that perspective here.
>Who bought?
Apparently a lot of people.
Sadly you could hardly talk about it on Ganker without it devolving into IDpol bullshit due to our invasive vermin
I saw plenty of discussion here
nobody talked about it outside anonymous forums because there was a gestapo going around disappearing people who admitted to playing it, but they were talking about it in person with their friends and coworkers
I dont even really care about HP and I got it day 1 as it looked like a fun wizard game and I really enjoyed it
I pirated it, but the game was clearly not made for 16GB of RAM. As soon I got in school, there were constant, lengthy stutters when loading new areas, even in cutscenes, so I uninstalled.
Me. They should've added more content to make the Houses feel varied. After I unlocked more clothes, I pretty much forgot what House I was.
It's still in early access so they can always add more stuff before the full release.
Looks like trans rights has a long way to go.
Ganker right now:
>why are (not-)pokemon and harry potter so popular?
because they're both gazillion-dollar, 30 year old franchises with fans in every age group. they're collectively like the biggest frickin media brands to exist since the 90s and this board is perplexed when they move shitloads of product. and i'm assuming palworld is aping only a fraction of pokemon's audience here
>you enter the school when the sorting hat ceremony is almost over
>when your house is chosen, you don’t get to feast with the other students or even sit with them, you just stand awkwardly to the side for some reason
>hehe, actually you also missed the feast too and everyone goes to bed now
>okay, so I will finally meet my classmates in the common room and make an introduction there?
>maybe a student will offer or be assigned to take me to the common room?
>actually you get walked there by a teacher
>okay, so I am going straight to bed too? Zero interaction with anyone?
>next morning, I apparently slept in a shared bedroom with other students, who I didn’t share a word with
>in the common room, everyone talks in the background without looking at me about how UNUSUAL it is to join Hogwarts so late, but there is no one there, no one asks me about why I joined so late
I expected more. I wanted a real wizard school simulator. Hogwarts Legacy isn’t that. It‘s a open world slop with soulslike combat (but much more boring than any fromsoftware games). Frick you. I wanted some social anxiety inducing scenes
Me
i bought it just to own the trannies
I don't doubt that it was the best-selling game. Harry Potter is still a strong brand, a huge number of boys and girls who see games as super casual things must have asked their parents to buy the game. Not to mention all the adults who grew up reading the books.
It's understandable that it sold well, and it's also understandable that it's not a very talked-about game.
based gamers dabbing on the troons and their shitty boycott
I did. Hope the sequel is better.
modding was cool though i wish there was more of it.
normies that dont spend all day on a japanese basketweaving site
It's really no surprise. Harry Potter-adults are the currently biggest and slowest declining demographic in the west, and they deliberately don't have children so that they can spend any time and disposable income on consuming more media.
