Human actors are one of the least important factors for a video game. There were decades of great games without voice acting, face scanning, or motion capture, and that's part of what's driving the production cost of modern games through the roof as well.
They don't even need that much plot either. Just take all these classic games with their plots (if they have any) being written at manuals but you don't even need to read them to play the games.
How short term is Ganker's userbase cycle? 12 year olds find this place, post a little, then leave every 5 years or so? It wasn't very long since the exact same thing happened, there already was a strike before, and as expected it didn't work as intended for the uniongays, publishers and devs just looked for small, non-union workers while the strike went on.
The effects are still felt today, smaller productions, like dubs for japanese games, has favored hiring smaller voice talents without union contracts.
I guess I will look into yuzu-ing this game if possible. Would really like more games to have British dubs, I'll even take Irish/Austrailian/New Zealand dubs too, if only they existed..
