You can unlock her after the the first run if you get lucky. 2nd otherwise. Then you could only play as her but that's kinda not the point.
There are unlocks that require you to do certain things and play as certain characters but other than that you can play as her all you want, yes.
Korone is unlocked by rolling the gacha, it's not that hard since Gamers only has four members so you should get her quickly, but you'll eventually have to play with everyone else because almost all characters unlock new weapons and passives.

Last time I played kiara was pretty much easy mode with her constant heals and cheat death mechanics it was close to impossible to lose as long as you didn't fall asleep.
It's definitely easy because they have to let the moronic streamers who don't play games beat it too but they balanced it so every stage can be completed without upgrades so that's where the optional challenge is

Reroll and eliminate are important for getting the items you want, stamps unlocks the former best grinding method in the game along with many other useful pickups (Fishing with the gold rod is now top, followed by fishing with all the other rods in order). All the "unlock new shit" ones are important, really. As for stats, speed, damage, health and money are probably the ones you wanna boost early to progress and afford the rest.
I don't get why people farm for coins instead of just playing the game normally. You can try out all the characters and experiment with the builds, while still getting enough gold to unlock all the stuff. What is the hurry to unlock every single thing?
Unlocking the characters is expensive and only gets moreso as more are added, and to even play the later levels you're expexted to have a certan level of upgrade which is even more money. When it comes down to it, people are always gonna find the best way to get to the Real Game where you have eveything

Depends on the character, some have really good main weapons and some have pretty shitty ones. It's a case by case basis.
some main weapons are especially busted when upgraded first. Especially Mumei's. Added with the Cold Chicken stamp, Flower stamp and Shiranui and watch everything drop in midgame.
But these characters take some time to ramp up early game, taking an early glowstick would serve as a buffer as you build the main weapon.
You'll just have to test each one and see if their main weapon is viable or not. Like for example Bae has a shit unreliable main weapon but all of her skills rely heavily on sub-weapons to become a walking glass cannon.
Some characters just have shit weapons. And shit skills. Shit stats, too. Not good at really, anything.

Unnecessary, it's just if you want a little extra buffs/money. Still rewards you if you play it but it's not like say, pre buffing in monster hunter.
Each character has a unique weapon, a unique ultimate attack, and three personal passives to upgrade during each run
Twin stick aiming feels really good and the later stages add some fun avoidance mechanics. The shop options allow you to make the game as easy or as hard as you want.
The last time I played VS the game became pretty repetitive very quickly, although it had a lot of updates since then so I don't know how it compares now.

You can get away with 2x SPD/ATK, but you need to be relatively aggressive with levelling and rush collabs where possible. Also don't get stuck on the furniture. I cleared it first try with level 4 halu and Goober, so it's pretty possible.

When the listener san frickers start popping, you should have at least a good directional weapon. Their tank and speed is bullshit, you cannot outmanuever them, you cannot kite them especially with 2 speed upgrade. But once you get past them, the 35p fricks are easier to deal with, and then you get to robosas where their HP will spike like frick.

I don't see how it had any synergy with Kiara. It was mostly good, or rather decent for the only special-focused character - Mio. Dunno if any of the ID girls rely on their special to the same degree as Mio. Well, Piiman effect has been changed, so it doesn't matter anymore.
Because it let her spam it like fricking crazy. You pop special, get hit until the revive kicks in, and now you've already charged up a lot of special to do it all over again. It was insane, especially since stamps synergized super well with her on top of that.
It'd let any character to spam the special though. Honestly, I find it hard to die with all the shop upgrades and fandom levels, even I try to on purpose. Found a super feather once and barely managed to proc it to stack the permanent damage bonuses.
It doesn't have the same synergy because most characters just explode if they constantly get hit, they don't have a get out of jail card. I'm not gonna throw Amelia into a horde of enemies, that'd be suicidal. Subaru could technically do it but her special isn't really that good so it's not worth it.
Korone with pillow and the new Pikiman has some synergy as you can get steroids when you pick up Coronets (for a total of 5% damage increase from picking her coronets alone) and you can stack Max HP+ to basically just make her run around with absolutely ridiculous ATK% and Haste.

If you lack AoE dps - yes. Plus they've capped the max number of targets (some?) AoE weapons can hit at once. But generally you want it cranked up to max as your meta progression makes you stronger.

I always try to beeline for Rap Dog on characters without innate def down debuffs. But, honestly, you can just go for the first collab you can, based on the weapons you get. Especially if the indificual weapons have synergy with your character. Like cutting board/beach ball. I think those bonuses apply to the corresponding collabs as well.
