I guess its just not for me.
Reminds me of flash games like super mario 63 where they have real photographs, anime sprites, and detailed art all thrown together to make an amalgamation of aesthetics

HOLY GAMEPLAY KINO
Main issue with this game isn't the art (I actually liked that the most), it's just how slow and generic the story seemed in the first 20 or so minutes. It gets good after.

I'm this guy.
I bought (pirated) it 20 minutes ago, the story seems highly schizoid.
I realized the schizoid part was the demo, but it feels like I've been watching the boy in the bird in the house for 15 minutes now, holy shit.
[...]
Anon, I got a question, does this constant talking and handholding continue during the entire game? I had enough for an entire playtrough I think, especially considering the garbage writing.
Once you get to the swamp it's 95% gameplay. Just have to power through the plot set up and tutorial

Game starts to get interesting when you reach chapter 3, area after swamp and shifts into high gear in chapter 5 (Demon King) and goes full moron. In a good way.
Yes, also each save point let's you respec. And if I remember correctly there is a potion that's let's you respec without a level up or save point, but you can only have one at a time.

It's not the save point that let you respect, it's the blue crystal found in shops. There's usually a save point near a shop, but not always a shop near a save point.
It's insane that, besides a handful of songs, almost all of them are royalty free. >any idea about the ETA of the dlc?
Check out KEIZOS twitter, he posts progress regularly. I can't wait for the Baker's Girl DLC
The moment of figuring out absorption + moonlight spam is pure kino
After that the game just turns into grinding with a really good story. Wish boards had a bigger role and weren't impractical before the final dungeon
I get that the point of the magic system's inputs are to have a command for each element, but given nearly every spell I liked was wind or light it would've been nice to have the option to go all in on those.
Dude, you're a fricking moron and I say that with extreme prejudice.

Discarded, doesn't count as first post. This game is peak SOVL

This is my thread now.
How old are you?
Twice your age, you can call me Daddy.
have a nice day
It looks tight, but I just don't have the time to add more games to my backlog.
Is this an autistic number go up game?
No, it's an autistic "break the game with insane shit" game.
Oh hell yeah
I view it as Symphony of the Night's gameplay but with Nioh system autism.

The aesthetics are so fricking weird. It's like it's self aware jank. Gameplay is indeed kino though.

Do I understand it correctly that I can freely respec after every level up?
Yes, also each save point let's you respec. And if I remember correctly there is a potion that's let's you respec without a level up or save point, but you can only have one at a time.

that sounds like a messy game if I am expected to respec my dude every level
The only thing you really need to respec is your agility so you can have max speed for the weapon you're using. Otherwise you don't really need to.
how many points is max speed for weapon types?
I bought (pirated) it 20 minutes ago, the story seems highly schizoid.
Imagine having the balls to pick this banger of a theme for your very first area. I just knew, this was gonna be great.
GOTY 2022 for me and it's not even close.
For me, it's https://youtu.be/MG9gU3Mz7Wo?t=32
I finished it last month, any idea about the ETA of the dlc?
I liked many of the tracks, they already feel nostalgic to me. I wish we could download only the soundtrack on Steam.

The gameplay is terrible.
The true moron has spoken.
