All Dragon Quest games are boring, repetitive slogs, but XI was next level in how long it overstayed its welcome
The credits are around 50-60 hours, postgame is either like 10 hours if you beeline to the final boss or another 40 if you do every optional challenge
It's the 2nd longest DQ game but 7 is still longer my a fricking mile
Act 1 was so comfy i wish it could've went on forever.
I'm playing it right now. 120 hours in. I think 10/15 more hours to finish.
Though I'm the guy that talks to every npc and does all side quests.
I like it though lad. Length is comfy if done right. Act 2/3 story setups makes it worth it for me.

Kek same thing I'm saying playing elden ring. When will developers realize to make the main story at most 30 hours. And if you want to make the game last 60+ or more just make the shit optional. I don't have time to be playing these games for dozens of hours a week.
One of the only games I have ever dropped, the shitty FF6 ripoff LE DEMON WORLD bullshit was the final straw.

i got through it and yes it took forever. it just drags on and on and on...
How are you guys taking so long? I think I had done every side quest and done just about everything. IIRC the only thing I did not finish is the final two-boss fight in the end-game where you get to pick your reward (so I only had one reward left to pick) and I did frick-all of tockington as it's god-awful overall. It's impressive how bad overall it is.
