The design is actually very subtle and the nuance is lost on morons like you. You're the kind of mongrel that still doesn't get the design theory behind Trubbish.
>NOOOOO WHY ISN'T IT JUST A GENERIC FISH WHY DID THEY MAKE THE DESIGN INTERESTING
if blastoise came out today you would be b***hing about the literal cannons coming out of its shell and whining about how it isn't "subtle" enough as if something being "subtle" somehow makes it good
>Holy shit its tail is a fricking bag? Why? Why is modern Pokemon like this?
, where the tail is a bag because it uses it tail to store items like a bag, or even

where there are cannons coming out of its shell that function like water cannons in order to attack, there is seemingly no benefit to the tongue having table legs.
Well, it does spawn a little wooden table when it uses its Order Up move. I thought that the animation was serviceable enough, but now that I've seen its tongue like this, I kinda wish the move animation had it use its tongue instead. I don't think the tongue actually has the table legs on the model, though, nor is it probably even modeled to stick out, so they'd have to update the model a bit for that.
Ugh, I liked it otherwise, having a literal table tongue drops it from an 8/10 design to a 2/10. Would've remained an 8 if the table didn't have legs, a square tongue would've been good enough.
it triggers me to no end that a Tatsugiri using Commander just disappears inside Dondozo’s model
it should be hanging out on the tongue like in all the art

???
Dondozo*
"subtle"

Because THIS IS HOW IT USES ITS ATTACK - Serve up
would you rather a dondozo that always stupidly carries a table around with it instead of naturally incorporating it into its design? fricking gay
>instead of naturally incorporating it into its design
How is a table for a tongue natural? What natural purpose do those legs serve?
For pinning you down while a bunch of sushi swims up your butt
This is my issue as well. Unlike

I disinterested because the animation don't reflect that.
It's tongue in-game and in other artwork looks round though.
Why did they rename the sushi, which had a Japanese name, and give it a DIFFERENT Japanese name in the English version?
They're moronic homosexuals

I don't think that's canon though. In-game the tongue looks pretty normal and circular to me
It doesn't look like that in this TCG art either

Tongue is a muscle, it can change shape when elongated
>Holy shit its tail is a fricking bag? Why? Why is modern Pokemon like this?
>Holy shit it just carries around a pendulum? Why? Why is modern Pokemon like this?
this actually makes me like the design more tbh
What purpose do they serve?
Some ESG diversity hire got paid a lot for this
