It honestly already looks polished as frick. Did you see the gameplay segment? There were some framerate issues but otherwise the game looks ready. They're probably just optimizing now.

Dead Space is absolute dogshit. With The Callisto Protocol grabbing a little bit of my interest, I decided to give Dead Space a shot, after hearing about it for all these years. What an absolute garbage game! Why?
1. floaty controls and camera, desperately wants to be as cinematic as possible, thinks having menus, items and maps being part of some in game hologram makes the game more immersive.... No, it doesn't, it just makes it awkward and cringe inducing. Why are you ashamed to be a game? You want to go for immersion and realism? Okay, then answer my next point:
2. Why is the AI so dumb and scripted? The very first enemy encounter, you are supposed to run away into an elevator, I did, then I look behind me and the enemy that was chasing me CLIMBS ON TOP OF THE ELEVATOR... while the DOOR IS STILL OPEN. I didn't close the DOOR YET, so why doesn't the enemy come and attack me? He can easily enter the elevator. What happened to IMMERSION? What happened to REALISM?
Then when I push the button and close the elevator, the enemy comes back and tries to force the door open, ends up getting chopped in half by the elevator doors when he fails to completely open them.... all of this is a scripted sequence. THIS ISN'T SCARY, THIS ISN'T IMMERSIVE, THIS IS JUST CRINGE INDUCING AND IMMERSION BREAKING.
3. The "LOCATOR" function: press a button and a magical line appears on the ground literally telling you exactly where to go... is this game made for low IQ subhumans? Yes, yes it is.

It is a scripted sequence, the enemy will not enter the elevator, despite me not closing the door, because it is scripted to climb on top and only try to open the door once I push the elevator button to close the door. It is lazy coding, it shows lack of understanding of proper gameplay, proper risk of failure, proper reward and punishment for player actions, it shows the lack of skill, talent and passion that is iconic for 99% of the wester gaming industry developers.
