It's genuinely a well written, acted and directed show. At this point, the entire show is basically a character study of Starr's Homelander and it's incredible for that alone. I don't care how autistic it is. If they're going to throw guest characters in I'd rather they be from other fighting games or at least video games. Robocop, Terminator, Spawn, Alien and Predator are cool and all but I don't care about them being in Mortal Kombat. I also don't care for slasher stuff or pushing flavor of the month comic adaptations on it. I'd trade every guest character for even one of the more mediocre MK characters like Hotaru so it least it wouldn't feel like a crappy version of Smash Bros.
I'm even going to upload a small tweak so people can easily swap between guest characters or no guest characters if they're playing MK9, X, or 11 on PC

No, I play with others and online ton. It's just annoying that if I decide I don't want to buy a particular DLC character they still have billboards advertising them on the main menu and their character portraits on the select screen telling me to buy them already. NRS got really annoying with pushing this shit in the last few years. I just don't care for crossovers with MK when I'd rather see other characters return.

Oh, NRS does it a bit differently with how they're loaded. I managed to set it up so that the guest characters are removed from the select screen and single player towers but can swap to having guests unlocked and playable when I have friends/family playing. I just needed to get an autistic rant out of my system for the day because I was hoping they'd just not do guest characters this time

She was under Quan Chi's control in MK9. It wasn't until MK11 that she was not only evil after being taken and revived by Shao, but had always been evil and killed Jerrod herself.
Her backstory had always been that she'd killed herself in grief after Edenia was taken and Jerrod killed. Kitana references that backstory in MK11, so the game makes it clear this is the same story she'd always had and that they were simply retconning it to make it so she was always an awful person.

Cassie is still good in MK11, a bit more immature and more Johnny-like than her MKX version, but she's good
She's much cuter in MK11 and feels more like their actual kid.
I actually liked that they made her a mix of traits from both parents. It's funny because Johnny has matured so much in MK11, so she's more mature than young Johnny but less mature than old Johnny. I actually think her characterization was handled really well in that game.

It's true. Hype kills games. I also used to like MK. The old ones are great, the first 3, 4 even, Deadly Alliance, Decpetion, all great. X was good from a technical standpoint but not anywhere near old MK in many regards, and 11 was terrible.

They backpedaled hard with MK11 after the backlash. Even gave bigger breasts, thighs, and asses on the DLC outfits. I'm more interested to see if they fixed the unlocking system. The Krypt was so fricking cool in it's first few appearances and then they ruined it with MK11 having mostly random unlocks and crafting bullshit. Apparently there are a lot less alternate colors and a few less costumes this time but they're supposedly more unique which sounds better and less tedious to unlock.
Yeah, the Krypt in MK11 sucked and most of the outfits were too similar. But apparently there wont be a Krypt in MK1, it'll be something else.

Kameos are way better than the dogshit variation system but I don't know why they didn't just bring back tag kombat.
Variations are okay with the way MK X did them. Three variations each with certain attributes that let people play a character in a specific way.

I felt that was better because for most characters I could more easily recreate their classic moveset.

I think Kameos could be really clever. Have a solid moveset for each character and the Kameos just layer on top of that. I'm curious as to whether Kameos will add moves to the characters or will just have their own functionality separately. i.e. does Kameo Scorpion add a move to Johnny Cage's moveset, or does Kameo Scorpion just have his own executions that are universal? I think it's the latter but I don't think they've delved into it that much yet.
I just hope they don't tie any gameplay elements to any cosmetic elements in this game. I hate that you could only have as many costumes a variations, even though most characters have way more than five costumes, even if you ignore the color options.

It was Fortnite bullshit and while it's fundamentally sound it basically forced the devs to juggle between CAWgays and everybody else.
You should never pander to CAWgays they don't play the games, they just LARP in the character customizer.
If the devs don't decide to drop all the plans they promised for post-launch support maybe most of the kameos will end up playable at some point. Seems pretty fricking moronic to not have Kano, Sonya, Jax, or cyborgs as playable

Yeah, MK has a property has basically limitless potential. They built a series with interesting enough characters, settings and lore and just enough of a sense of humor that they can really do whatever they want with it.
I hope WB/NRS eventually starts branching out again. I'd genuinely love a DMC style action game set in the MK universe, even if they have to outsource for it.
RTS where you command armies to conquer Outworld and can recruit the major characters from the main series as heroe units to lead your armies. They can do little scripted duels ending in a fatality when they fight enemy heroes.
