Keep your expectations low and buy it used/discounted if you can. If you can do that then I say you should go for it. It has legitimately good postgame battles though.
>good postgame battles though
I really hope you aren’t referring to the Battle Tower. There’s a delicate balance between bullshit and fun when aiming for win streaks, and the BDSP devs completely dropped the ball with the Battle Tower. One example: two of Palmer’s master level teams have both a Multiscale Dragonite and Focus Sash Heatran. It’s not something that can’t be overcome, but it’s definitely way too strong in the 3v3 format in the sense that it dramatically limits your team building options if you want to have a reasonable shot at winning. Add in TONS of evasion abusers, ohko abusers, sashed sweepers / breakers, and niche nonsense (Fantina has a team with Wonder Guard for one example), and it becomes a herculean task for anything but the best of the best (in terms of strength and/or cheese) to rise through the ranks and get the ribbon.

Its like 30$ at my local wallmart so i think that is a pretty good deal for what it is
Get it for $30 or less, and go in with low expectations. Only potentially worthwhile to people like you who never played Gen 4 and don’t know how much better Plat was
i played through shining pearl with the intention of speedrunning it with my knowledge of diamond and it was the most fun i've had with pokemon in a long time
The issue people had with the game was that it was too faithful to the originals. They did change the Sinnoh Underground to let you catch non-Sinnoh mons as soon as you can head down there, which I think is a good change. It’ll be a good time if you don’t mind the old gen jank carrying over in some areas.
You can't even get the Shiny Darkrai and Shaymin in BDSP anymore. Unless you hack your Switch, I guess. As soon as I found out the events for the items passed, I returned the game. Frick that.
Broken, outdated, and inferior to a game made in 2015.

Download a DS emulator and Platinum. BDSP is a blatant scam. I pirated it and I still want my money back.
This. The better Sinnoh game can be experienced for free and it’s the easiest thing to do
Not as horrible as people say. Not great either.
It’s like a nice plain bowl of rice
Its like 30$ at my local wallmart so i think that is a pretty good deal for what it is
That is exactly what they are worth imo
It's the worst Pokemon experience I've had in years. Play the romhack for them or Platinum
DS are still cheap
second best remake
sidegrade to Platinum
superior to SWSH and SV
emulate platinum
I don't like emulating.
Why not
gay ass
Change that. It will open up a new world of gaming
r4 platinum on a ds/3ds then. You can get a ds for extremely cheap

Bro just emulate Platinum it's much better. Unless you wanna get a Shinny Arceus or Shiny Darkrai don't buy this.
