I am getting kinda tired of waiting

patience is a virtue
it'll be on PC eventually
plot is nothing to get excited about though. only get it if you want janky DMC
IMO, the game is pretty solid up to Garuda. After that, it's going downhill.
Watch game of thrones instead
It sucks
Don't waste your money in this crap
I would wait. There's a lot of talk of Square gearing up to put more of their shit on PC, it didn't make the money they wanted and they're going to have to go multi plat to make that green. Now the question is... how buggy will it be on launch
Yeah it seems they have just realized today that PS5 esclusive are bullshit
Console exclusivity is not the problem here
Overblown sales expectations and budgets are
Squenix would be in the same position if they published exclusively for Nintendo or Valve
Ganker doesn't want to hear that though because SNOY
>poorgay without ps5
sucks to suck, and I don't even intend to play it kek
without ps5
my PC is $1500, brownoid pajeet
IMAGINE being so downbad and poor that owning a $400 console puts in you in the upperclass in your shit smelling favela
weren't you guys supposed to be a global superpower by 2020?
>he thinks I don't have a PC.
Kek my laptop costs more than your PC
>so brown he thinks price = quality
>my laptop costs more than your PC
this is not the own you think it is
being stupid with money doesn't make you rich, it just makes you stupid with money
all the poorest people walk around with $2000 of clothes on
2000$ for clothes is a waste of money
Things that I use daily and are functional, I will spend top dollar for. For example, my car, computer, chair etc
>all the poorest people walk around with $2000 of clothes on
Oh come the frick on, anon. You had a point up until you said this moronic shit.
>not having a pc and a ps5
My poor little homosexual, just wait like a good cuck for the game you want to play.
what game?
There's not a single game on the PS5 I want to play.
I would've bought it otherwise like I bought a PS4 for Bloodborne and KH3.
Spending $400 on a paper weight just makes you moronic. The fact that you think it's a status symbol is really really sad.
>CONSOOM LIKE ME OR YOU'RE A POOR homosexual!! HOW DARE YOU PURCHASE THINGS WITH YOUR OWN AGENCY!! WAAH WAAH
You should wait unless you really want to play FF7 rebirth, demon souls, stellar blade immediately.
The game has 35 hours (no exaggeration) of cutscenes in a normal playthrough, but the story is a B movie at best. If you just plan on watching a playthrough you'd be better off watching the Netflix witcher series which is just as bad.
>demon souls, stellar blade
Neve ever just like Bloodborne. Cope and Seethe.
Just wait i would say
>non turn-based jrpg
it's trash, boycott final fantasy until they finally wake up and give back what we want
I can see the monkey paw
>ff goes back to origins
>it's atb
It was very mediocre. Wait for a sale on pc one day
the story is bad and the gameplay is bad
unlikely that you would manage sitting through the whole youtube let's play
The story is bad? HOW
Just fricking wait anon, why the frick would you watch someone play a video game?
for the story
if only cryaotic was still alive...
The story is bland, uninspired and even when it feels like it's building some momentum, which is rare, it'll still shoot itself in the foot by ruining it with one of its many segments where you spend far too long on what feels like a sidequest they forced into the main story that feels like a blackhole of creativity both in writing and gameplay design, completely killing any momentum it had going.
It's a game where 75% of what you do is watching a cutscene, even the devs knew the summon fights were nothing more than movie jank.
Also, the only thing about the story being good is the opening hours after that it gets much worse where even the MC questions what the frick is going on.
You honestly shouldn't bother with it at all. I am very rarely dissatisfied by games I play but I was offended by how dull and bad this was. I think the best part about the game is the combat which you won't get if you do watch it, but I certainly don't think it's worth your money, much less your time. I can understand if you have enough curiosity about it that you still want to try it yourself but I wish I hadn't, and that's something I rarely say about any game, even ones I dislike. At least a lot of games I dislike bring something to the table that made it interesting or made me think about why I do and don't like certain things or whatever, but XVI was just a chore that made me feel like I was actively wasting my time.
Wait for PC. Not because it's good, but because you need to experience the disappointment for yourself. If you watch it on YouTube you get to watch the cutscenes and not the 30+ hours of boring, shitty, mandatory, useless fetch quests. Most people who defend XVI haven't even played it, they just have grandiose ideas about it because of the shitty MMO they like.
are the sidequests really that boring?
Just watch a playthrough, playing the game is a slog (it's carried by it's boss battles) and the story takes a nose dive after the first 4 hours.
Combat in XVI
>Square Square Square Triangle L1 button R1 button wait for powers to fill oh look a summon is charging up and... Battle over before summon even charges.
Combat in 7R
>Square Square Square Square Square Square Square X Use Spell and... Battle is over before spell is cast.
7R is a little more complicated
Barely and only on higher difficulty. I played the entire game using Cloud and didn't have to do shit except for Gilgamesh island and final battle with the single elemental armor section
Even the most mundane combat might turn into a chore.
Play Strangers of Paradise.
>fricking watch a playthrough?
dont be moronic.
Rebirth is not getting a PC release any time soon because Sony paid for exclusivity till Part 3 is out but FF16's PC port has been in the works for a while now confirmed by YoshiP himself months ago. But the game's basically a movie, so watching a playthrough would probably give the same experience anyway. Most of the game is cut-scenes and another huge chunk are some of the shittiest and most pointless sidequests ever seen in gaming.
>Sony paid for exclusivity till Part 3 is out
BASED
Is it possible to only give order to Torgal during battles, and not any other characters? Do allies contribute to the damage inflicted? Are they susceptible to death?
There's not even a party in XVI. You can give Torgal a command but you don't even need to. "Party Members" in XVI don't even have HP.
So you can't give Jill a command? Frick
No they are just AI party members, she'll contribute by attacking and casting some ice spells, but not enough to even matter.
neither, the game isn't fun to play and the story isn't fun to watch.
if you do get it on PC just pirate it and yawn your way through i guess.
I respect it more after playing through Rebirth, but it's still a mess. If it was fully linear, it would be an 8/10, instead of 5/10.
I did like the story mostly. It just falls apart in the last third.
I think you should wait. As someone who deeply regrets buying a PS5, this and Rebirth have really helped a ton with my buyer's remorse. I also really genuinely think that FFXVI's story is the best story put out by modern games since The Last Guardian.
>FFXVI's story is the best story put out by modern games since The Last Guardian.
BOLD statetment
I dunno what it was exactly, and it's definitely not flawless by any means. But I felt like it was the most earnest I've seen a story be from a delivery standpoint for a long long time. It never undercut itself with snarky humor, and the relationship between Clive and Joshua felt really sweet and kind and loving in this really unironic and based way. Game really made me miss my best friend who I now live a couple thousand miles away from as we both try to balance the responsibilities of having families and being husbands and all that gay shit.
