A marvel of a bulky water type. Its stab scald is fun to use and plays well with hex. It gets two defensive abilities that take advantage of switching. It is competently stated; not so amazing that it terrorized its native OU, but not so bad that it was unplayable. Jellyman and his lovely bride are amazing.
i think it would be really cool without eyes, cause it'd give the abstract feel of a jellyfish, but i also appreciate how they're goofy haunted castle ghosts you'd see having a banquet or something except underwater and they drag people to their deaths
i imagine they were originally spawned from a sunken ship, like the ship sunk and the spirits of the guests just kind of willed into polyps and then jellyfish, but then it just kind of became a species

im of the opinion that we need more eyeless mons. it's abstract and cool.
I never understood how other people saw him as having a moustache akin to the Pringles Man. I always saw him as being choked by some sort of foam.
I am glad Masuda made these Pokémon into Ghost types. The original designer just wanted them to be pure Water. The one good thing he did.

Heatran fake eyes are pretty cool too, the concept of Pokémon designs playing with the eyes is very unexplored

I liked this guy and used him in gen 5. Also gave him the obvious nickname Pringles
Pretty good. I kinda overlooked him back then and didn’t even know he had recover and acid armor.
He does have a lot for weaknesses though and not much special attack or speed to counter it.
