I miss that feeling everyday. That feeling of scale and awe I got from it as a teen first time I played around BC launch is something unique that will never be recreated.
This game looked like shit to me even back then, it's not even the graphics it's the artstyle that's hideous
It may have been the game with the best gameplay and community at the time but literally any shitty korean mmo looked better than this
>loved horde when i was underage, first character ever was an undead rogue on my friends grandpas wow account >as a well functioning healthy adult i realize alliance is better lore wise, gameplay wise, city wise (except grommash) and horde is basically just the blacks of azeroth
Having played a Night Elf named xLegolasx as my first char, the insane and arduous journey to even get there at a low level made it even more memorable.
Real life let's you do that too. I'm honestly okay with it, it's annoying to not be able to use a name you want even though you will never ever see the person who does have it.
I got hooked on wow in part because of wandering into Ironforge for the first time with my dwarf. I never really liked stormwind, even before that dickbag Wrynn made cheap threats to my deathknight even after I told him I was freed from Arthas while Thrall, the bad guy, just said welcome to the horde, don't frick up.
something that bothered me about endgame vanilla wow was that lvl 60 alliance all hung out in ironforge. it makes sense because of its central location (also its proximity to menethil harbor), and ironforge was a cool city in its own way, but we all know stormwind was the true headquarters of the alliance.
also sad about undercity. loved undercity but it was usually empty because its the darnassus of the horde and annoying to actually enter the city from the outside.
horde could have used a flight path in brill or the bulwark. running back and forth between UC and anywhere in that region was annoying, and lights hope in EPL usually wasn't in a good location either, but it was the only other FP. alliance actually had easier access with chillwind camp
my feeling as a 12 year old playing a dwarf and entering stormwing from the underground train was superior to just walking through the main gates fite me

>those lion heads
Jesus

>Filtered by stylized cartoony fun heroscale visuals and could only consoom muh realism literal korea asiaticslop
You kinda dodged a bullet since WoW is shit now but holy frick your taste was bad and you missed out

race wise too

>xLegolasx
Why don't people do the xXxnamexXx anymore? It was so common
Because they don't make cool movie characters anymore
Because now most games do that soulless ID # thing to allow everyone to have the same name
Real life let's you do that too. I'm honestly okay with it, it's annoying to not be able to use a name you want even though you will never ever see the person who does have it.
Allys missed out the barrens
Horde missed out on Elwynn forest, Westfall, and Duskwood
I played rogue and warlock, Westfall is ass
I played Paladin and enjoyed Westfall very much.
>Westfall, and Duskwood
>good
>any horde zone
>good
Yes except Durotar
duskwood is THE greatest zone in vanilla wow
Nah, that would be Ashenvale
I didn't care much for it. I prefer Westfall.

Wrynn was close friends with Arthas and is particularly upset about death knights and the plague in general since it devastated the humans kingdoms.
The horde are Black folk and will take anyone that will join them
>The horde are Black folk and will take anyone that will join them
Kek even vulperas who clearly don't belong
None of them belong, it's a bunch of misfits
I like the Stormwind/Ironforge tram a lot.

Underciry is so fricking cool. Vanilla wow oozed soul, it will never be replicated

The alliance starting zones were just a shit ton better, the exceptions being Tirisfal and Silverpine.
Horde gets to see the city Thrall was building, Alliance get to see a place we never knew existed
um Horde had the Undercity, way better.
