I got a PS5 last week and subbed to 1 month of ps extra and tried the 2nd horizon game and uninstalled it after 2 hours. It was extremely boring and generic. It was like a typical Ubisoft open world game.
The first one was ok.
Gameplay is a bit like Monster Hunter where to need to slowly abuse dinobots weak spots to kill them. The actual story was bad and cringe but the preapocalyptic records were pretty cool and sci-fi (narrative lead was one of the New Vegas writers)
2nd game killed the sci-fi vibes with a ludicrous fantasy story and the gameplay was much worse with dinobots spamming heavy artillery and elemental discharges which made fights extra tedious

Giant empty worlds with "mobs" for "grinding", terrible writting, if PvP is enabled it serves no purpose other then annoy other players for little to no reward, clear bosses so you get better gear to clear bosses, lobotomized player base "do not stand on the red shit or we wipe" - He stands on the red shit, no significant and persistant player driven impact on the world.
