Do people actually like Benten?
No clue, but I know three other people who play this game and they all actively hate Benten.
And it's not because she's a girl, because they all like Hakumen, Suzuka, and Ziz, and one of them likes Babylon.
Indifference mostly, but her personality can be quite overbearing most of the time and she is quite good at stealing the scene.
Anyway, this event is clearly about expanding Daikoku/Ookuninushi lore so they had to bring the Seven Lucky Gods as well in since Inaba is already there. And to give the "Daikoku is running away from Benten" joke they had been setting up for a while the punchline.
I don't, but clearly one of the writers seems to as she tends to strangely show up a lot, over more fitting characters through out the story over the years. Personally I consider her worst girl. Her personality is extremely annoying and there's nothing enduring or cute about it.
Now that I think about it a lot of the girls in the game tend to have extreme personalities. that maybe off putting to some people.
Gabriel: Cheery, bubbly and a bit of a ditz. Whether that's her true personality or a fake one she puts on for the public is anyone's guess.
Suzuka: Little miss tough girl. Sometimes comes across as cold and just plain rude, but she also does have her moments where she lets down her guard and shows her soft, gentle side.
Astarte: Impulsive and mean at first. She seems a lot like Suzuka, where she's probably a sweet and gentle person deep down, but tries to put on a tough girl act in order to protect herself.
Hakumen: Ojou-sama femme fatale
Durga: Highly competitive. Wants to be number one at everything.
Nezha: Rowdy. Likes to start fights and fighting. She seems like a female Kengo.
I understand that their personalities are based on archetypes and japanese tropes, but some of the girls just come across as having more extreme behaviors to me over the male characters or maybe they standout more since there's fewer female characters?

I like her a fair bit like a good most of the girl characters from a purely into dudes perspective on a tier list of the ladies i would place her pretty solidly in the middle range below girls like Arachne and Maria but above girls like Nezha so i don't mind how much she shows up really.

God every single year the New Year's event is the most unexciting and disappointing thing in this entire game for the year. You have a grab bag for whales and a f2p banner that you finish after 1 week of 1 character who never gets a limited version and almost never shows up ever again in any future event. Imagine how much better it would be if there was a 5 star version of the New Year unit in the banner too. That way you could at least keep caring about the event if you're going to make it so long before the first full banner of the year shows up.
Plus the grab bag is becoming more obsolete now with the anniversary ticket bundles. How long before the anniversary tickets are just a cheaper choose your limited 5 star "grab bag"?

Sunshine Christmas event was his first appearance, yes.
Usually when an event is rerun they are translated but Christmas is unusual in that they usually don't get rerun and the previous event story was translated during the current Christmas event iirc. But for some reason Mystic Christians is still not translated which also means Sunshine Christmas also gets affected. No TL last year either.

Housamo is not even that troublesome to play compared to other gacha out there. I just log in twice a day and clear the stamina in 15 minutes or so whenever nothing is going on.

probably one of the best support units outside of the sidhe show with the ability to give crit, ardour reflect debuff purification and removal of enemy guts status so they can't live on 1 hp, so yes, yes he is good.
But remember that all of this is worthless if you don't move him because otherwise none of it happens and he will be so angry you neglected him he gives himself weapon(none) to deal 0 damage to enemies.

Nope. "Post-Move" skills only trigger if you use that particular unit to move it around. It's why you should generally avoid having too many characters with that requirement on the same team.
Also keep in mind that "Post-No Move" skills, on the other hand, only trigger if they don't move at all during the turn. So both manually moving -and- nudging them with another unit prevents the effect from going off.

You can sometimes force your way through the errors by constantly clicking it and sometimes just opening and closing the game and continuing but yeah it super big pain, this is why i always make sure to nuke weeklies asap.

you just have to suck it up and burn through some pots if you want to rush it.
just try to get 5 drops a day if you don't intend to buy any copies from the shop and you'll be done by the last day at latest. of course just trying to ensure 20 drops should be more than enough if you just buy the 80 shop copies
oh no i've bought the 80 shops ones, but it just feels weird that it hasn't maxed out already with how i've been doing things via getting every potential fight in each day + using the daily pots, feels like the rates are lower than the last few events drop wise.
Dunno about the drop rates on the quests themselves but the extra rate up from units/ARs are just all-around worse than what we got in the Valentine Fantasy rerun. I'd imagine that's also a factor.

But honestly, i think Hombre Tigre kinda hard carries their "Likability" by being a really fun charismatic character in his introductory chapter, and Yasuyori has the benefit of being in two schools and a nice little plotline about being fricked up by the memories culminating in a pretty memorable scene where he is defeated, and after that it is just Shen, Balor and Tez left if we are talking strictly the school rather then the Warmongers guild, though i would say Hombre and Yasuyori are still doing the same thing Warmongers.
I mean, ignoring "I WANNA SEX THAT CHARACTER" bias that is my take anyway.

Ok, after spending a bit of time to test, I'm certain there's either a huge mistranslation with V.Jakob's 1st skill (gives increased recovery) or it's just bugged and the devs probably won't notice.
At first I figured maybe it was just visual while the effect still worked so whatever, but actually paying attention to the numbers it doesn't work with [blessing] or [regeneration] for what I have to easily and consistently test at all. Oddly enough, it DOES work with CS based heals. f.e.

In the latter's case, the amount of knowledge they have is what determines what grade/year they belong to, and not how old they are, since transient ages can vary greatly from what we would consider normal.

I'd say their decisions for most of the names has worked out for the best at just being more presentable in English visually and pronunciation wise. And in some cases like with Seth they just drew on a different pronunciation for the name (Greek).

With only 2 skills it's a bit hard to tell and no knowledge of the % chance means I can't be sure if glint/concetrate will be very helpful, but so far he seems like a unit that wants to move so it's best to not have other move units and he moves stuff to his collum so something like a shot or snipe support will probably pair well with him

But if you're too stupid to know how to read, in a nutshell Q'ursha is a vertical column deleter as long as you move him to give him the bow attacking range, plus he has unlimited horizontal movement. Hastur is an AoE nuker but needs Pazuzu to nullify his powers from hurting your own team from his biohazard radiation.
Tl:dr for that: Q'ursha is a good primary offense that immediately kills tough enemies, Hastur is a slow killing deathwave.
Overall Q'ursha > Hastur for beginners. Obviously if you don't like how he looks don't roll for him.

Hastur, Pazuzu and regular Cu Sith make a fun combo
Because Pazuzu clears the debuffs instead of negating them Cu Sith ends up being able to proc his countdown and can keep doing it because the debuffs keep being applied every turn

I mean i know Barrel specifically caused butthurt on release because of CURRENT EVENTS and Barrel specifically being triggerhappy cop who can't hit his targets unless transformed but i don't think people pulled him to spite people, especially since he was just a 4* and by Summer Barrels release the controversy (regarding Barrel specifically) had largely died down. Man, im disappointed i didn't get Amducias 5* after trying his 3*, he seems neat, eh, can't win em all, and the mask dude seems pretty strong since his main deal seems to be nuking and damaging himself for everyone he hits if i got it right. I didn't actually read his skills so im just judging by how it looked like how his shit resolved.
