Race is more than just visual design. It's who the character actually is. And each traditional myth was created by a specific race of people. Making a a mythological character to be a different race makes it look completely out of place. This is why it needs to be addressed. Or you know, just not raceswap characters.

On the contrary. I'd argue that NuSaga's actress herself could make the greatest script end up sounding dull and boring. She just seems to have a boring personality. Just watch her interviews. She sounds like she doesn't even wanna be there.
I'm not a fan of the actress either, but it's the character that is dull. She has no charm, no fun interactions with the town, she's Mary Sueishly good at things, the only good moment she has is when Scratch tries to mind break her at the end and even then she casually brushes it off.

The race aspect is completely different. She was already established as white in the QB easter egg. Raceswapping Saga completely destroyed the consistency between QB and AW2 as a spiritual sequel. It doesn't matter if she was raceswapped by an actual good black actress. She would still be raceswapped. If they really wanted a black female MC, then they should have created an original character. NOT raceswapping an already existing one. Ideally, the new character should have been played by a decent actress but I would have settled for NuSaga's one. Sure, the actress is bad but at least she's not raceswapping a character.
