I don't hate anime or JRPGs I just hate bad games.
It's not even a stereotype. It's literally just scott the woz. Nintendo has a bunch of jrpgs under their belt
It's probably not as common in reality, it's just that most Youtubers are in that 30-40 age range where they played Nintendo games in a period where NoA tried to have a very sanitized Western image during the late 90s when they were all kids.
So because they were conditioned by marketing, they hold a stigma against series that are too "Japanese" (despite the irony that series like Pokemon, Zelda, Kirby, & F-Zero are still very Japanese), and because they have a large online presence, they seem more numerous than they are in reality.
Dunkey is another big one.
But Dunkey liked Dragon Quest except for the grindy parts later in the game. He only talked real shit about Xenoblade which is an objectively awful game to anyone who isn't already a massive weeaboo.
Dunkey only "likes" JRPGs that are publicly acceptable (FF7, Persona 5, DQ11 etc.), and even then, he doesn't actually ever finish them. So he only plays them to downplay the stereotype and placate his underage fanbase who actually like anime shows and games.
Dunkley at least played Xenoblade 3 a lot, judging by clips he used in his video on it.
>scott
>Arlo
>Dunkey
>any major Smash youtuber
>James Rolf
>Frick any major nostalgia based channel too
>>Frick any major nostalgia based channel too
shit is so funny, just yesterday I got recommended a video from Beta64 and one of the first things he says is "now I don't like RPGs"
This. Nintendo platforms have had the best JRPGs since the DS days.
I despise anime and JRPGs so goddamn much it's unreal.
Nintendo puts out more JRPG's than anyone else these days. Sony used to hold that title, but they turned on their Japanese base. I think most modern Sony fans hate anime and JRPG's, but classic sony fans like it.
The irony is so rich that its palpable.
Fans had to drag out nintendo's ass on getting xenoblade to the US kicking and screaming because they didn't think people wanted them, which was a self fulfilling prophecy because they never fricking released any on their home consoles other than maybe fire emblem.
Now the xeno series is nintendo's AAA rpg series, they're remaking mario rpg and advertising the star ocean 2 remake too right on their direct.
Are we entering the new golden age or jrpgs?
no one thats normal likes anime
this.
everyone keeps blaming the left for grooming kids
but no one questions the literal pederasts that keep making school children protags in their media no matter what age demographic they're maketed towards.
>the normal person
He looks like he just got that as a gift from one of the black dudes that comes to frick his wife
haha wouldnt it be so funny if lucina's top fell open because she has no breasts to keep it in place haha?
I hate Nintendo youtubers so much its unreal.
Anon... have you seen the absolute uproar and nuclear seething when anything other than a bing bing wahoo is put in Smash?
They don't hate anime, they hate moeshit.
Luci's voice warms my heart when nothing else will.
Why do western nintendo divisions always try to remove asian influence in their games?
what if I only hate bad anime?
shit like:
Sword Art Online
Code Geass
Infinite Stratos
Oshi No Ko
Konosuba
Highschool DxD
>Code Geass
I don't care about the others but frick you Code Geass is a classic
Code Geass and its consequences have been a disaster to Sunrise.
is your name gigguk or motherbasement
no

>Final Fantasy was one of the big sellers on the NES and SNES
>Xenoblade is a big seller on the Switch
>Fire Emblem has been popular since Awakening
Nintendo fans are fine with JRPGs. The problem is that there were next to no JRPGs on the N64 and Gamecube, with Xenoblade Chronicles and a few boring ones found on the Wii. The Wii U didn't exactly have many memorable ones, either. So people on Nintendo platforms for the last four generations, basically the last 25 years, have been very starved of content. It's not too surprising that the first good big game to come out attracted a lot of attention.
Nintendo fan here
I only like nintendo RPGs
Ive been watching nips play FF16 and I fell asleep
>FF16
>RPG
Pick one.
action RPGs are still RPGs
I more hate the fandoms, who despite playing games that require a decent amount of brainpower seem to have nothing of worth to say about actual games and just talk about rubbing their wieners to the girls all day.
