Looks really damn good, but also very safe aside from the new touch with the partners at the end.
It's likely going to be next to or exactly the same with her. It's the safest option and the least controversial. Japan might get some slight updates, but I really doubt they care that much for a Mario game of all titles.

There has been no footage so far that has been in 60fps so it still seems it's 30fps only.

It's very likely that they'll just make a 60fps patch for the switch 2. The switch 2 was originally planned to release this year so they were probably going to use this as a selling point before it was delayed. But they'll still be selling this game a year from now so they'll want to use it as a justification to get the switch 2 for it.

There is no defending it. TTYD is a two decade old game, the switch is more than capable of running a remake of it at a stable 60 frames per second.

They probably figured they could go all out with graphics and then just fix the framerate on the upcoming console. I think the same is probably true of why tears of the kingdom has such egregious framerate issues.
I can't wait to pirate this! I already bought the game 3 times for gamecube. Pretty fun even if the first games side content direction was way better
