Super mutants are immune to radiation.
So?
so nobody would die, as opposed to the super mutant telling you that you are destined to die, because reasons, and despite no detriment to him he refuses to save your life.
>the sheer degree of [buzzword]
might as well praise the grapics. you are arguing the value of an emotional reaction that is entirely subjective.
I find it hard to believe that someone could walk around Arefu, Rivet City etc. without feeling comfy about it.
What you're describing is called nostalgia, anyone who didn't play it as a kid isn't going to feel that way.
Ah so thats why new vegas is so beloved by zoomers
>no u
gud 1
>What you're describing is called nostalgia, anyone who didn't play it as a kid isn't going to feel that way.
No it's called turning on the radio on your pip boy kek
>Arefu
I don't EXACTLY remember shit, but that name resonates within my memories, it has to be kino
Ohh, it is.
Emil clever writing
Call a town involved in a "vampire" quest Arefu. Arefu being the location of the castle of Vlad the Impaler.
How would the people of the town who did not know they were dealing with " vampires" or the first thing about Transylvanian provinces name their town after this place? It made no sense you may cry.
Ol uncle Emil thought of that clever anon. The sign with the word Careful was cleverly used to accomplish this.
Now compare Obsidian.
They named a town Novac because the "ancy" on the sign were no longer visible.
Many crayons must have been eaten in celebration of their cleverness.
Just another example of how Emil is the finest writer in video games.
Gotta hand this one to Fallout 3, it is better written in this one single instance.
It's a town of 7 people on a crumbling bridge being attacked my Emo "vampires"
that has to be the most embarrassing quest in fallout 3. even more than the capeshit one.
>Arefu
Arefu fricking sucks.
>Rivet City
Rivet City is based in theory, but not greatly executed
>could walk around Arefu
You say that as if Arefu isn't composed entirely of three (3) shacks on a bridge. The vampire larpers hiding on a subway station are the only memorable part of the settlement and they're both not a part of the settlement and still crap
>3 shacks
WRONG. It's 4 shacks.
This is so fricking stupid. Arefu looked uncomfey as frick, rivit city is probably cold and moist. Im not knocking it but that was literally the point of those places
What the frick is comfy about Arefu? Honestly the most comfy place in the game is properly Canterbury Commons. And outside the bullshit with the ant girl and robot guy the town is pretty quiet.
The comfiest Fallout settlment is Modoc.
And if he was in fact destined?
even if he was then what?
Then nothing.
If this point is to be criticized in any way, one can say that this railroading was made with theatrical or old story retelling style, rather than practical reason from in-game story motivations and means, hence why it seems unreasonable.
>emotional reaction that is entirely subjective
It is based on the interplay between the objective faculties of understanding of the human brain and objective qualities of the game, ergo it cannot be entirely subjective.
Checkmate.
Hes supposed to be a tactician mastermind
Tactics is not strategy :^)
?
thats an american simulation so being able to big dick american talk your way to forcing some chink eye to sushi himself makes sense try again homosexual
plus that's how it is in real life too
>it's okay that the boss fight is a speech check because it's a simulation 🙂
>Point out the logistical nightmare that would be Legion holding the Damn
>NO THAT'S DUMB LOLOLOLOL
dilate.
the dumb part is that it's a mailman explaining logistics to a general of an army morono
Ah, the ol
>You aren't a videogame developer, you can't say it's bad!
argument. A flawed classic.
>You aren't a videogame developer, you can't say it's bad!
You can say it's bad, it's just that you don't understand why. Granted neither do most game devs.
It's not that the mailman is explaining logistics to a veteran as though he has to be taught the concept. The mailman is reminding the veteran of what he already knows. Specifically a general who, up to this point, was not in charge of making such decisions. Caesar had ideological reasons for his conquest which he was expected to fulfill to the best of his ability. Now that he's large and in charge, he needs to take ownership of his actions and strategies.
if he already knew it he wouldnt be making a moronic decision or it's poorly written, you choose
>Oh my God, I'm supposed to believe this character FORGOT to pick up milk at the store?
>He KNEW he needed milk, he's not completely moronic, so he WOULD HAVE PICKED UP THE MILK
>Fricking shit writing, absolute plot hole, 0/10
>character went to milkitary school
>mailman has to explain milk comes from cows to him
>this is amazing writing
I can't believe Lanius went to don'talteryourcultureupongainingleadershipschool and still fricked it up...
Dude hes already started an attack literally waiting to battle to the death
Hes way past the time to go “oh yeah”
Its just a cop out ending because onions gays would cry that their speech build doesn’t have a way to instantly end the game
It wasn’t though out and just as tacked on as the fallout 3 one
>if a character is dumb it's bad writing
Disagree. It's fine and reasonable to assume given who he is. The speech path where you bluff about setting up a trap for him similar to Graham is better though.
You can’t switch between hes a general so its okay he forgot basic logistics about the army but also he can just go “oh doh forgive me courier i made a critical oppsies i better shuffle off from our death battle silly me” on a dime.
New vegas is better than 3 but stop being a brain dead consumer. It had faults and this is one of them
>hes a general so its okay he forgot basic logistics
Never said that so I don't understand your point.
>brain dead consumer
How am I consuming anything by having a discussion about a plot point in a 10 year old game?
>It wasn’t though out and just as tacked on as the fallout 3 one
yeah if they didnt make a larger thread through the game then they're left to undo all of a characters motivation in one dialogue which means either the its a poorly written dialogue or the character was poorly written from the start.
F3 was poorly written iirc but at least the game wasnt trying to be serious so the idea of logic looping a computer made sense.
>seasoned courier who is familiar with roads and navigation explains logistics to the legion's poster boy for mass murder
whats the problem? sounds reasonable to me, lanius was not known for being smart
>military commander
>not understanding logistics
Lanius is not a "military commander"
>Legate Lanius is the military commander of Caesar's Legion and Caesar's most trusted war leader. Commonly referred to as the Monster of the East or Terror of the East, he replaced Joshua Graham in this role after the defeat during the First Battle of Hoover Dam and led a campaign of expansion to the East. He laid waste to the tribes in his path, integrating them into the Legion.
what is he then
He's more like the army juggernaut the soldiers rally around. Joshua was a tactician but Lanius isn't. How could you possibly not realize this?
so war really is like a game of dota, huh
>"Legate Lanius is the military commander of all Caesar's forces in the field. He is legendary for his devotion to Caesar and for his ability to sense weakness in any army."— Fallout: New Vegas loading screens
>Legate - A position above the rank of Centurion that acts as a general or field marshal. A legate, or legatus, is shown to be appointed directly by Caesar, opposed to solely through career advancement. The two explicitly referenced legati have also acted as the second in command to Caesar, that being the Malpais Legate (Joshua Graham) and Legatus Lanius. While Lanius is the only legate in the Mojave, Caesar's Legion has several other Legati in the command structure elsewhere.
Also Joshua was the moron who didn't understand tactics, it's why he was so easily baited into Boulder City. He was known for being hard to kill, not being a good commander.
When was it mentioned the Legion had more then one legate?
> The Courier: "He sounds more like a savage than a general."
>Caesar: "Lanius is savage. Savagely loyal, too, but only to me - he has no love for my Legion. But this has its uses. He has no attachment to his men, no compunction about battlefield losses. All he cares about is destroying the enemy. When another legatus or a Centurion fails to achieve results, I send Lanius to make things right. His first step is to beat the failed commander to death in front of his assembled troops. Then he orders the ritual of decimatio."
>but only to me - he has no love for my Legion.
This is clearly bullshit when your entire argument is that the legion will die and he's actually concerned about that.
The loading screen quote is a fine source, the rest is pretty irrelevant to my point. Two leaders can lead in different ways.
>Also Joshua was the moron who didn't understand tactics
You are literally braindead, that is part of Joshua's character. Joshua lost because of a literal fluke on the NCR's part. He, along with Caesar, forged the Legion to what it was. Even after his Legion career he successfully led tribes for a second time.
This literally proves my point, thanks.
>You are literally braindead, that is part of Joshua's character. Joshua lost because of a literal fluke on the NCR's part
>Though he was neither a particularly brilliant strategist nor tactically flexible, his menace and brutality were infamous. The atrocities he committed made him feared by friend and foe alike. He was dangerous, unpredictable, and above all else legendary for being impossible to kill, even by NCR Rangers. But all great men eventually end.
You're genuinely fricking moronic and I don't know why I'm bothering to still argue with you.
>Though he was neither a particularly brilliant strategist nor tactically flexible
Checked the wiki, there is no source for this.
Given how he organizes the tribes in Zion, I assume he's just kind of shit commanding massive army against another large organized army but is fine with small squad tactics and facing vicious tribals.
If at all hinges on "well, he's just stupid!" then it's on par with 3's writing at best.
>A character didn't immediately predict the long term consequences that might derive from a shift in resources and controlled territory, things that weren't part of his responsibilities until very recently?
>Then he must be moronic, because the only two options for a character is for them to be right about everything all the time, or for them to be moronic
>Characters goal is to take over a region
>He doesn't consider the long term consequences of reaching his goal
Yes, it is moronic.
>Characters goal is to take over a region
That's Caesar. Lanius was only concerned with destroying the enemy in immediate battle.
So Caesar didn't consider the issue of logistics either then if he just had Lanius destroy everything on the way to Vegas? That just makes the entire Legion look moronic instead of just Lanius.
He might have and probably had a plan, but Lanius wouldn't know.
???????????
>???????????
I was trying to point out the way you frame lanius as incredibly incompetent to his rank to eschew the poor writing. Though maybe you're just too zoomie to understand the military concepts
>you frame lanius as incredibly incompetent to his rank
Your key failure in this argument is assuming that every military commander has the same skillset and is promoted to that rank for the same reasons. Lanius was a top fighter, and knew when he could defeat the enemy. The entire point of the speech route is that you convince him he will not win in the end due to logistics, and so Lanius retreats so he can one day return and become victorious.
you're just repeating yourself at this point
Did you not play the game? He did consider it, the difference is Caesar WANTED the Legion to undergo a cultural shift after taking the Dam, that was his entire endgame.
Wanting to have the Legion undergo a cultural shift doesn't have anything to do with cucking yourself by doing shit that will frick your supply lines.
The Legion would need to shift from an expansionist culture, to a administrator culture to account for those supply line foibles. They're both talking about the same thing, but Caesar made a longer term, broader prediction based on his own biases and ideals, viewing it more as a shift in environment and subsequent evolution. Lanius took a more immediate, practical view on it, based on the fact that he already saw the Legion as standing at the pinnacle, so he didn't even consider how the Legion might adapt to the new situation, only how it would act as a wound to the Legion as it was.
impressive ability to talk out of your ass
They'd still need to have a reliable source of supplies during a shift, doing shit like making Searchlight a irradiated hellhole just seems like a really stupid idea considering everyone agrees the Legion has the upper hand and they themselves believe that. It's just cucking yourself in the long term.
>here meet my general we trained him as a 2nd lieutenant on purpose, as a joke.
Caesar is genuinely dumber then Lanius
And it's not like this is a Ulysses situation where he's someone's OC mouthpiece who has to have 10 in all Special.
You're incredibly stupid for taking hidden gameplay stats seriously when comparing a character's actual intelligence in the story. In fact I'd say you have 8 IN.
If it's just some random character I'd agree, but when it's a important character to the plot I'd expect them to try and make the stats align what they want the character to be.
There is no indication whatsoever to assume that they cared to make SPECIAL stats of characters align with their personality. The only way in which an NPC's SPECIAL would be tested is through combat, so actually the safe assumption would be that it's just for combat balancing and nothing else.
>so actually the safe assumption would be that it's just for combat balancing and nothing else.
int doesnt effect combat though so unless they randomized it they would just be the same
Do you think Lanius is more intelligent than House? Because House only has 5 IN in his stats. If your answer is yes then I'm done with this argument because you'd just be lying.
well lanius is an accomplish military commander and house is just some musk-esque ancap shill who couldnt figure out how to write some targeting code for his robots in 200 years or engender loyalty in his #2 so I'm willing to entertain the possibility
I officially concede. I can't win an argument against someone this moronic.
If it helps I was just shitposting about the stats stuff. I would normally expect games like this though to try and match the stats of the important characters with how they want them portrayed, like House having high INT and low CHR because he's a bit of a prick.
Why, it's not like you can view them ingame and they'd have no effect on an NPC unlike the stat derivatives from the other ones, it'd just be a waste of time
I guess I'm expecting it because Sawyer liked doing that in Pillars. I recall he did some presentation at that GDC where he talked about how for instance Pallegina I'm that game is noted to have failed her test to become a paladin a few times before getting it right, so even though a paladin ideal wants a decent amount of might she only has 12 because it fits her her backstory and shit.
Owlcat does that as well, it's why Valerie in Kingmaker has 15 charisma because she's suppose to be pretty hot even though her class doesn't need it, while Wenduag in Wrath starts with 5 because he's not only a weird spider/cat mutant but also just a horrible person who acts like a c**t to everyone.
I wish they picked the classes to suit the damn stats in pathfinder case at least
You can't do much with say, Valerie and stay on lore, but you can definitely work on some other characters
With the spider you could have made her fricking any martial class for example
What I don't get is that they felt the need to make 3 different fricking archers. Sure you get Lann and Wenduag early enough you can reasonably enough switch them to a different class (Lann can be good as a cleric or mutt warrior for instance) but it's just a weird choice to me.
Because as far as I know you only keep one or the other at the beginning and it's very easy to lose the other later in the game if you pick the wrong options, I mean there's more melee characters than archers, it's not like they're all just basic archers either
This. You decide between Lann and Wenduag, and you don't get Arue till at best the end of act 2 and at worst early act 3. And if assuming you did the quest the right to recruit the other you don't get them until near the end of the game.
And also maybe give the character more stat points if they're going to give a motherfricking fighter 15 charisma
Despite being lawful moronic, val was a competent fighter in lore
Fair enough. It's a minor detail but I do also like when RPGs try to make the stats of a character reflect their personality.
it takes .5 seconds to do and the designer has to do the relevant ones anyway, may as well have them do it if you think you might implement an int based item or dialogue etc. You might also do it as a way to generate dialogue either procedurally or as a shorthand for your writers for how to tone dialogue for the character.
you know that ceo's are selectively pressured not for intelligence but sociopathy right? whereas the complexity of military command and the associated politicking (and unforigiving nature) selects far more for intelligence, like it's literally the origin of the phenotype
House genuinely thinks he can somehow achieve spacecraft in 50 years so I don't think he's that smart.
There's spacecraft already in the game, he can work 24/7, has an army of robots and basically unlimited funds, why is 50 years so out of the question
THERE WAS ALREADY ROCKETS homie HALF HIS JOB IS ALREADY DONE
He's a meleegay, he doesn't need high INT.
But 8 INT is high in fallout, this ain't dnd
no dude you see it's like he went to the store just to get milk and then forgot to get milk, it makes perfect sense
No, his goal was to take the Dam. That only changed weeks, or even days ago. And even then, you continue with this autistic dichotomy. Look back at literally any modern, documented occupation, and look at the literally hundreds of assumptions that not only smart, but absolutely brilliant people made about what the long term consequences would be. Then look at basically all of them being totally, 100% wrong.
Your giving chris way to much credit my man
"People are not either right or moronic" is not a very high bar for him achieve.
He very much is anon
The loading screens outright refer to him as the legions military commander smoothbrain
Yeah no military leader in history has ever miscalculated their logistics, nope.
anon where are you taking my goalposts? all the way over there where you have a strawman of the argument? well ok
Not just a random courier. One with high int and high speech. Add to that, Lanius is just a brute who got to his position thanks to his fighting capabilities. The real strategic mind of the Legion was Graham.
>The Legion jas lost the battle and a lot of men in the last hours
>Pointing out that those losses would make taking and holding as much territory as originally planned impossible is somehow bad writing
Os there a bigger, more pathetic and desperate cope that pretending Lanius speech check is bad? Literally Bethesdadrones grasping at whatever they can twist because they still need to figure out what the frick do people actually eat in their game
New Vegas has mindbroken the pajeets
seethe and dilate
I never got the buzz around this check. It's not even that stupid if you think about it. Dude got ass fricked and then called out on it, not every battle needs to end with you one shotting some NPC so your peepee feels big.
It was never stupid. It's just contrarian anti-NV discord trannies trying to fit in.
It's literally just 3gays trying to nitpick something.
People hate that a final battle doesn't end with explosions and guns and your character defeating the final antagonist in a firefight or man to man. They hate Lanius is actually pragmatic and not the bloodthirsty, one dimensional psychopath the radios and other legionaries think he is. They hate that theres options for roleplaying in a game with thousands of outcomes. People wanted CoD in a post apocalyptic environment like Fallout 3 instead of something that gave the players more freedom.
>Be general leading a army
>Somehow never consider the logistics or "If all are men are in the west, who's in the east"
It is stupid, but because of Gankers moronic tribalistic attitude about games NVgays will defend it just like 3gays defend the even stupider 3 ending.
>Gankers moronic tribalistic attitude
It's one of the main issues with this board. You see it all the time, like whenever a Larian thread gets made one of the first posts will always be either
>Someone sperging up about Owlcucks
>Someone saying Owlcat is better
And vice versa and then the thread just becomes both sides sperging out at one another.
He's been leading the army for like 10 hours at maximum, Caesar JUST died. He's a dumb brute who is known in the Legion for mass murder. Pretending he ever had a full grasp of the military situation on the same level as Caesar and Vulpes is disingenuous. He just did what Caesar told him.
Leading the Legion I mean.
It's stupid because Lanius is basically committing suicide by retreating in a faction that kills anybody who retreats.
>Dear Legate Lanius: I'm so sorry that I was not your mother
It's dumb and most Fallout 3 gays would agree with that.
It's also dumb that he someone never considered logistics when engaging in a war yet New Vegas gays sperg out when you point it out.
lets not forget either that convincing him to leave now is even worse in the long run as he will return in a number of years with more men
this however can always change given how the legion functions post-caesar death or if you allow caesar to live yet do a house/yes man ending
Irrelevant, the main issue is that a somehow he and Caesar never considered either of these problems until the Courier explains it to Lanius in baby steps.
Fallout 1 is the only game that did this well for the sole fact that the Master just says
>"Alright, where's your proof then?"
And you actually have to present proof to him that his plan is flawed, he doesn't just take you at your word.
I wish more games made speech instead of just being the "I win" button for everything it just opened the option to actually convince that person, and then the player has to actually think of what to say to convince the character. Obviously for smaller quests and such I wouldn't expect that but for important quests I think it would be neat.
>Fallout 1 is the only game that did this well
You can the conversation by telling the Master to go check for himself, he comes back saying you were right and kills himself. This implies he literally never once checked if mutants can reproduce. It's moronic.
When I did that he said his researchers told him I was full of shit and there wasn't a issue.
That's another issue, the games over reliance on Speech. It's obviously better then Fallout 3 which did have some skill checks for other stats, but most of the time no matter what the stat needed to convince someone of something is just speech and a stat that might actually be relevant to the topic isn't.
It states that he and his scientists did check, but for whatever reason, only the male mutants. If you don't have the hard data from the BoS scribe detailing mutant sterility I think he calls the notion preposterous and attacks anyway. If I'm to play devil's advocate here, Marcus mentions in FO2 that the male super mutants are seemingly sterile for upwards of a year or two after being dipped, so perhaps that's where the concern was, or that simply none of the male super mutants had progressed enough that they had to check the female mutants.
I thought that comment by Marcus was just it takes them a few years for their dicks to work again, not that they aren't sterile.
He specifically says "Hope she doesn't get pregnant" which prompts the conversation. If I'm remembering right his response to you bringing up mutant sterility is "nah, it just takes a few years to get the juices flowing again" so take that for what you will.
Nope, developers said Marcus was just messing with you. Super Mutants are 100% sterile.
I would like it more if you used not only 100 speech but say 100 guns/science/ some special stats to help convince lanius of how his invasion will fail him in the end, at least you can still fail after doing all the speech checks if you choose the wrong ending option
You'd like Arcanum, assuming you haven't played it.
>dumbass barbarian doesn't understand logistics
many such cases
>Using your intelligence to out wit a military taction by showing the flaws in his plan
v.s
>U HAVE TO DIE IT'S UR DESTINY
Are you people actually Indians? I thought it was just a meme.
>showing the flaws in Caesar's plan
Fixed. Both are moronic, one (Fallout 3) is just more so.
How is NV one moronic? You're just demonstrating to a commander the futility in their plan.
Because it's not rocket science to realize "if we scorch earth everything in our path we'll frick our supply lines". And it's nothing to do with Lanius because this is Caesar's policy, and Lanius will mention this has been a problem prior with Denver.
>Because it's not rocket science to realize "if we scorch earth everything in our path we'll frick our supply lines
It is when a commander can't see the bigger picture, as actual generals have made in the past.
You keep bringing up Lanius when this is Caesar's problem.
And Lanius is the one leading Caesars army at the time. What's your point?
That the problem doesn't start and end with Lanius, it's a deeper issue in the Legion, and a very obvious one that makes Caesar look like a tard for somehow not noticing it.
>Needing intelligence to figure out "If we're in X, we can't be in Y."
You need it to be able to reach these people sometimes. Many generals in history have made mistakes by not being able to look at the bigger picture and explaining it to them properly.
You bloody bastard b***h.
You're too much of a brainlet to understand it.
And what is wrong with it? Or you think it is reasonable to ask people to die for you?
giver of life must die ~~~
that right there is a smooth-talking mutant, nothing wrong with that.

The writing may not be perfect, but the sheer degree of comfiness? Exceptional.
Hell yeah. Endless sea of green tint rubble and grey dirt. Soul.
Now that another anon noted that there's no shadow at all in fallout 3 and that they used that ambiant yellow/green fog as a way to make it looks natural I can't stop noticing it.
It's actually a pretty elegant way to remove a very resource intensive element without sacrificing visual fidelity. Bethesda used to be pretty smart with finding out ways to work around engine limitations ( like the train in fallout, or the reused props in Skyrim ).
I really enjoyed fallout 3 despite the dumb writing and horrible gunplay.
What do you people think about all of this?
FO3 has the worst environment and gameworld of 3, NV, 4, and 76. It's anything but comfy.
the ugliest shit i ever had the displeasure of playing senpai
FO3 filters people who want get out of jail free cards and choices without consequences.
By not playing the main quest. I love wandering the wasteland and finding random NPCs and quests to interact with, but the main story is garbage

goddamn that is fricking moronic.

new vegas dlc is better than any of the trash in fallout 3, and it has 3x the quests
Zeta was a great DLC.
no, no it was not
Yes, it was.
no, it was complete shit and i like fallout 3
it's the worst dlc between nv and fo3 bar none
>it's the worst dlc between nv and fo3 bar none
The only good DLC in NV is Dead Money. OWB, HH and LR are all so much worse then any of the Fallout 3 DLC besides Anchorage, that DLC was very boring and ruined the equipment progression.
you don't need to keep telling everyone you have shit taste, you already called mothership zeta great.
I am not that Anon.
It may be bland, but it's just a typical corridor shooter segment at most, so it's hardly that terrible to warrant such a reaction.
>segment
operation anchorage is a short and bland "segment"
mothership zeta is much longer and more monotonous
Well, it's spaceship, not an attraction.
It's waste of potential though, it could handle a lot of content, such as various text logs, many more historical remnants, various alien devices, more actual horror and some other things that would be in a research ship like this.
I like Zeta because I can't recall what other times there was this retro alien aesthetic in a game other than maybe XCOM.
>Posting the same place from two different angles
lol
NV sisters... How can our bland samey desert compare to this masterpiece?
We already know that F3 is all style no substance. Nothing new here

What mods is he using? It looks about how I remembered it when I played for the most part, but that might also be the fact it's been a long while since I played Fallout 3.
I use NMCs for new vegas. Im 99% sure the fo3 mod is called the same thing
I think it's the lighting? I think maybe they used fellout or whatever the 3 equivalent is to remove the green tint on everything.
Why the frick both 3 and NV do that I have no idea.

FO3 is not about the writing, characters or story. It's about the world itself and exploration.
It is very understated but the architecture and desolation provide something that is unique in a sea of Post-apoc games. Fallout 4 felt like a regression in art design for everything except the power armour.
Fallout 4 suffers from weird plastic-like looks in environmental objects, everything from storage containers to distant buildings look like they’re enlargened plastic toys.
Fallout 4 was a regression in literally everything besides Power Armor, loot menu and Curie
Survival was pretty cool, not perfect should of had multiple ways to naturally fast travel like boats, caravans, etc.
Also they didn’t program in an easy way to check your statuses like need vegas hardcore? Or a menu showing whats currently debuffing/buffing you. Bery useful for a survival mods, no idea why they didn’t bother. Makes it feel more like a tacked on mod than an actual difficulty
Besides that the companions are straight up just better than the rest of the series
1/3 companions were just souless meat sticks
2 had very little charm in theirs but some
New vegas companions have their moments and full dedicated quests with outcomes. Huge step up but they barely talk and only choose to discuss something with you very rarely outside of their quest, sometimes i forgot i even have one.
4 compaions have something to say about anything With everything new Vegas compaions did
radiation affecting maximum hp was a surprisingly good idea
if that's all fallout 3 has to offer then it really is oblivion with guns.
even worse in that case, because cyrodiil at least had places that made sense.
>if that's all fallout 3 has to offer then it really is oblivion with guns.
Okay.
>It's about the world itself
That screenshot looks like 2078.
>the world itself
a muddy brown bloom pile of shit?
>the games main selling point is exploration!
>* has to walk around miles of walls and enter 3 different subway tunnels to "explore"
kek
The game literally sets up the fact that he’s immune to radiation. You literally need him to retrieve the GECK from an irradiated room. Why didn’t he say “sorry that’s your destiny” then?
This
It’s a classic “set up then payoff later” situation but there’s no payoff.
They had planned on locking a real ending behind paid DLC from the start. I guess they just realized the average bethestard wouldn't care, they got away with horse armor after all.
Don't hate on Fisto, he's my main squeeze.
Also the reason I got into Fallout in the first place.
fisto is more memorable and makes more sense in that world than liberty prime
>lets add LE MECHA just because its COOL
cringe
Nah man, Liberty Prime was based. Fisto is fine though.
You are bloody bastard b***h sir!!
>not realising that Legion are wearing american football outfits and pretending to use their brains when they actually use their brawns
you missed the joke
you are the joke
>you are the joke
says the one posting the pajeet memes lmao
Fallout 3? more like cuck simulator
>says this when one of the new vegas endings has one your female companions frick a random NCR soldier in a tent because she couldn't find you and she wanted to frick something right in that moment
please, no cringe posting sir
I like how exactly 1(one) person on Ganker unironically believes that F3>NV, and they've been trying to blow the winds of change on here for almost a decade now, without ever once convincing someone to change their opinion. New Vegas really mindbroke someone to this degree.
>how can the legion be west if it also east?
>c-courier-sama.... I KNEEL!!!!!!!!!!
whoa... new vegas is so deep...
The Science one is even worse.
Why though?
[Speech 100] have a nice day
76 is decent though. Shame the engine fricking sucks arsehole through a straw.
>fallout 3 fans pretending they're intelligent and cultured
Steinbeck is pop culture?
Yes
Since when?! Last I checked, that was classical literature, not pop culture.
This is so ironic considering a Pajeet is posting about "culture". Id bet my anus hes never watched ANY of these movies
Based fallout 3
>no back story for your RPG character
>this is a bad thing
holy frick go play a fps you homosexual
I don't get it just because Lonesome Road does try to inject some backstory into the courier. Ulysses makes it clear you've been a courier for a long while.
Come home
Do Obsidiots really?
>worth as 1 year of tax
what?
fallout 3 memes are genuinely made by indians
yeah but in discussion new vegas-eers seem really stupid and according my rarely checked twitter feed trannies love the game for some reason
the ncr only had 1 functional vertibird
this is fricking dumb they had spears dipshit if the first one didnt go through the armor use a bigger spear strengthlet
as expected from new vegas a game made by trannies
>yandex search image
>only the deathclaw has a button to do a crop search
kek
That's why New Vegas is better. Nothing beats assaulting NCR bases with your gang of Jet addicted junkies.
Yeah, military forces would never lose to a bunch of destitute people
Those destitute people had info about their patrols thanks to a mole inside their base. You underestimate a gang of organized junkies that can shrug off some injuries. Oh and the NCR is ineffective at bringing law to the wasteland at that particular time.
What mole was in the 19th century English forces?
One of their lieutenants if I recall. He was a frumentari that radioed the positions of the NCR patrols every night.
Its been 20 years man
I'm honestly surprise obsidiantards still exists even after outer worlds fiasco
guess drones will always be drones (ie: blizzard)
>Have a literal brainwashed slave that will do ANYTHING for the person that holds his contract
>Except for walk into an irradiated chamber and input the area code for Cleveland Ohio
Fallout 3 would be so much better if it was in 2080 rather than 2277
The world was dead, black skied and windswept at 2080.
Nobody had left vaults yet, and FEV hadn't mutated animals into monsters yet.
As the fallout 2 into says "a quiet darkness fell across the planet, lasting many years."
>the trolley problem except you're presented with the option to save everyone but because of moronic dignity you choose to die instead
Weren't they so butthurt about people calling this bullshit out that they updated the game to let you do it but everyone calls you a huge b***h for doing so?
You're only a b***h if you make the BoS bawd do it
Yeah but everyone shit talks you even if you send in the super mutant or ghoul that's healed by radiation
And for whatever reason, literally nothing changes in the 200 years since the bombs dropped in the Eastern Time Zone
East coast got nuked much heavier than the west
And that broke the human spirit? Also, don't pretend that Los Angeles and San Francisco wouldn't be priority targets
They're nothing compared to the capital, New York, Pittsburg, Philly
Hell even Denver is a higher priority target
Los Angeles is a hop, skip, and jump away from San Diego, which hosts the largest naval base on the west coast.
>East coast got nuked much heavier than the west
yet DC is perfectly intact while los angeles was turned into a parking lot
Nuclear weapons do not flatten cities.
What do nuclear weapons do?
hiroshima was a bunch of wooden shacks, if you call that a city yeah nukes will flatten it but if it's actually steel and concrete it wont. incidentally if they had gone with the ole tie firecrackers to bats plan hiroshima wouldve burned down the same way
>hiroshima was a bunch of wooden shacks
Wrong. Hiroshima was full of many mordern (for the time) buildings. Pic related is the only one that survived, because the warhead detonated perfectly above it, saving it from the shockwave.
>Pic related is the only one that survived
Yes, because it's not a wooden shack.
>because the warhead detonated perfectly above it, saving it from the shockwave.
This makes no sense.
ok so it was 95% wood. doesnt change the fact that a nuke wont flatten a real city
Yet fallout nukes flattened Los Angeles, and in game lore has said it flattened Philadelphia and New York City as well.
...you think fallout is real life?
THe core focus of this discussion is
>Why haven't nukes flattened DC when they flattened LA
You morons hiroshima nuke was a fricking pop rock compared to what we have let alone a nuclear crazed civilization given 100 years wartime to perfect it. God fricking damn i hate you single digit morons. PLEASE FRICKING THINK.
The destructive power of nukes has been greatly exaggerated in media. Although they are a terrible weapon all the nukes in the world going off the same time would have less of an effect on the atmosphere as volcano eruption. Nuclear winters don't exist and are not supported by any evidence.
well loads of sites say Hiroshima had around 15 kt and tsar had 50 mt so i dont know what your talking about.
I tried to explain this to a couple people and they thought i was insane for saying "a nuke wouldn't be as bad as you think, the world isn't magically going to end"
The world didn't magically end when the dinosaurs died off either.
The more efficient and powerful nuclear bombs create less radiation. Radiation is wasted explosive potential. The american bombs dropped in ww2 were the most radioactive nuclear bombs ever created and people inhabited the cities almost immediately after.
Nothing because they dont exist.
>DC is perfectly intact
Are you moronic?
in fallout 1 la was wiped off the earth, literally nothing left
speaking of such why dont people know what rome is in NV, if you have even the vaguest awareness of the US government you know it's based on Rome
Well, you have to be taught as much, and I doubt there was much time for 3-500 years of history in the Mojave Wasteland
lacking modern entertainment would result in more oral traditions not less. rome is like one degree of separation from asking about the country they live in. yeah intricate knowledge of their gods and senate wouldnt be commonplace but it's absurd to think that all knowledge of it disappeared
the the oral traditions would be more pertinent, especially considering there'd have been centuries of life without a wannabe Rome trying to take over, so you'd have generations learning more important things like defending yourself from mole rats and how to avoid Jackals or Scorpions
thats not what oral tradition is.
Doesn't matter. It's among the many, many more relevant things that would be passed down before
>Hey did you know that this country that no longer exists and we never experienced was based on another, much older empire that we have never experienced? Nah, they'd spread the traditions and knowledge of things that they would actually know.
yeah survivors of the political failure of empires resulting in nuclear apocalypse would have no interesting in discussing the history of those empires, they would just talk about rodents for 9 hours a day. you Black folk are really making the 3jeets look smart
They did it in the same update the retconned the ending so you survived no matter what which is the real kicker
>He thinks people enjoy FO3 because of the main story.
Please seek help.
Fallout 3's story is just beating a dead horse at this point
NV's plot is equally moronic
Never defended NV in any way. Obsidian's writing has its own issues, but isn't the incoherent rambling of Bethesda
>hurr why do factions fight over Hoover Dam because everyone could just enjoy its power generators
Don't forget, the ghoul was literally contractually bound to you and had to follow every order you gave him whether he liked it or not. Except that single time at the end because lmao Bethesda storytelling.
The Enclave want to use the water purifier to genocide everyone in the wasteland, your dad and the BoS just want clean water. That’s why they’re were fighting over it. Stupid post.
Why do trannies care so much about writing? Is it the estrogen?
nv has better gameplay
dont care about the rest
Fallout nukes aren't identical to IRL nukes. they're way dirtier, but even then most of the land is safe enough to be in for extremely long periods of time. The issue is more about the mental state of East costers in the Fallout universe, Who seemingly at no point make any effort to better their lives
>The issue is more about the mental state of East coasters in the Fallout universe, Who seemingly at no point make any effort to better their lives
that's true in our universe too
People like this guy. The cope is so tremendous you'd waste your time to engage with them in honest discussion.
>how dare you bring a companion made available by the devs
>the companion the devs encourage you to bring
Can also bring the ghoul and the robot who can also go into the chamber with no harm done to them but they both also refuse to do it.
Charon is also literally brainwashed to do anything you say and he still refuses lmao
Funniest thing about the whole stupid writing is that if you have the DLC and get past that part by making one of the companions do it instead it has the narrator calling you out for being a pussy ass b***h.
Sir you dont Understand...
CoMMITTING POINTLESS SEWICIDE BIBilICAL REFERENCe
really Deep Stuff u just moronic.
>"But the child refused to needlessly die, not needing to follow his father's example. Instead, allowing someone who is immune to radiation to venture into the irradiated control chamber of Project Purity. This was very intelligent and he lived happily ever after."
Because Bethesda wants to railroad you into a decision. People one day will understand they have never made a single roleplaying game to their name and that includes Daggerfall, Arena, Morrowind whatever.
Here’s all you actually need to know about fallout 3’s writing
Did my dad just assume there's only two genders?
Father knows best
>Builds a britta filter around a statue
>wiener so small they cant figure out if you are a boy or girl
not trying to defend fallout 3 at all but aperently (from cut content videos) the original script and plan for fallout 3 didn't even have the FEV option, a lot of stuff was different, so they didn't plan for you to be able to make choices at the end at all. a lot of the choices were added last minute and resulted in this bullshit where it doesn't make any sense or is horrible writing
another example of this is the whole enclave thing with eden and autumn. in the original script. their plan from the beginning was to sabatoge the purifier, and thats why the brotherhood is willing to help you fight them to get it back. it also explains why the autumn eden clash is moronicly writen, because they changed it last minute without any thinking
more here https://youtu.be/OFzL33mx960
i havent played 3 in over a decade, but i remember this ending while moronic reason wise was pretty bittersweet. i liked the final scenes as your character dies. then the dlc came and to make more sense so you could send a follower inside and it took all the weight away from the ending
fallout 3 main story was pretty good from what i remember, it was the wasteland that was meh. too wacky even without the wasteland perk
Fallout 2 wasn't much better.
perhaps speechtards were the true enemy all along
What do they eat?
lots of corn
"Fawk picked nose, might get boogers in water"

No they aren't. This is the type of Black person who makes shit like Frontier or New Vegas Bounties that constantly sucks off the Courier as this ebin hero
bounties makes the courier into a painted target for killing hundreds of men, it's killing the right (or wrong) men that attracts the larger names to him

Because I had fun
FNV is Science Fiction
FO3 is Science Fantasy
FNV is a Sci-fi Western and FO3 is Trashpunk.
The wings on my shoes shrunk and now the moths wont eat my kidneys! When I shake my state capitol it only yields three fairy napkins but how?! My banana slippers are like water boats because when the moon winks sometimes it burns my hamster punches. And that's how you get to llama school!

This guy played the shit out of FO3. Why would you do this?
I just don't care about the writing. It's a good game.

At least it had decent gibs.

No Tactics?
I've been wanting to give it a try but I can't get it to work well on my computer, even with that fix on Moddb.
Friendly reminder that Lanius has 7 Int while Caesar has 5.
What is Morrowind with guns?
>As Legate, do you really believe that, or are you taking a chance?
>Hnh. {Beat} Long ago... when taking Denver, I had to face such a challenge. Many died, over many years to claim the city as ours.
>{Reflective} It was the lines of food and water that nearly broke the Legion's strength... and the lack of tribals near that cursed city.
>What I felt in that struggle, I felt as I saw the map of the West. The West is a trap. The bear has already been caught in it, and it is dying.
Friendly reminder this is not a once of issue, and is a reoccurring problem with the Legion. Caesar is just a moron and Lanius is a dumb brute who just took the reigns until you point out the issue.
>and is a reoccurring problem with the Legion
how ironic that their namesake's primary advantage was in logistics. did caesar forget to read up on romes military history
I don't think he did. His army fights in mostly a guerilla warfare style which is completely opposite to a Roman army. I believe his biggest inspiration from Rome was absorbing and destroying other cultures.
"And they don't *need* to send an army, your supply lines will kill you first."
>{Derisive} You think we would march without a means of resupply? We have the Fort, we will have the Dam - other communities will fall.
>And we shall harvest as we move West. {With conviction} We only need move forward.
>"There's no communities to support you in the West - you've seen to that."
>{Growing anger} There are many towns, many slaves... ripe for the taking as the tribes from the East were.
>"The settlements West are *not* self-sufficient tribes - they need NCR, and the caravans."
>{Confused} You rely too much on the trappings of... civilization. The people of the West were once tribes - they will relearn their ways, or...
>"Towns? The Legion destroyed Nipton, poisoned Searchlight, butchered Nelson."
>{Pauses} Vulpes... brought the touch of Caesar to such places.
>It was necessary to weaken the West, show that the Legion could strike deep into the places where NCR thought it safe.
>{Rallying} But we do not need *those* towns. Like Hoover Dam, there is the power within Vegas... we can harness it for our needs.
So wait, the Legion is also going to have issues due to overexpansion like the NCR, because due to their scorched earth approach they'll choke themselves on their own supply lines?
MAAM DO NOT REDEEM THE NEW VEGAS
>Have near full health combat armor
>Two encounters with raiders later it's almost completely broken
Was F3 always like this?
Playing new Vegas made me think "this barely has any actual plot", it's like it's going nowhere, fallout 3 doesn't have this problem.
You might have autism if you don't think NV had plot
>Get shot
>Find shooter
>Find robot who conveniently gives you power to do anything you want
It made me feel like, where the frick is this going? And then you go around on that ugly empty desert doing nothing but walking on a very linear path, going any other way gets you directly into an invisible wall, and even on the linear path you're gonna die to a casador even on the easiest difficulty, it's such a bore.
>even on the linear path you're gonna die to a casador even on the easiest difficulty
kek
I've had to use the wiki to find this place, either I did what I did or I could try traversing the most boring desert ever in look of this shit.
Hidden Valley isn't really that hidden anon. There's a crumbling road leading right to it.
There's another option as well, going through Hidden Valley can bring you to a gulch that passing through brings you straight to Helios. Also you can easily enough go past the quarry if you straddle the border of the quarry and super mutant area.
I think you'd have better luck hoping the blind deathclaw in the valley doesn't spawn than trying to get through the scorpion gulch
Both games have a plot, and both let you skip to the halfway point if you know what you're doing. In Fallout 3 if you know where the dad is you can go straight to that vault, skipping megaton, GNR, Rivet City and the memorial while in New Vegas you can go straight to Vegas and with high enough science walk right into Vegas, or just pay for a passport or save up 2k and then you're already at the point where you decide a faction.
I do like games that let you be able to skip a lot of the plot if you decide to.
Never thought about it that way but you're right. The first time I played the game I totally forgot there even was a plot until I met Benny again while I was just exploring.
I felt this twice, and then because of it it's impossible to give two shits about the story, you feel so disconnected from the world, nv really feels like a (bad) fallout 3 mod, with great music included.
>new vegas has good wri-ACK!
That's Old World Blues. The DLC only Reddit likes. I thought it was the worst one.
I actually like the plot of Old World Blues, I just don't care for the lel penis fingers shit all the time. I found the sink appliances less annoying like Muggy, the angry toaster or the bickering light switches.
This dialogue is well-written. What you are actually saying is that you don't like it because it says penis.
>dialogue about cutting off penises
>troonyvegas lover immediately comes to its defense
lmao
BEST GAME EVER FALLOUT 3 IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE THE CHAD
Remember when Ghouls were actually cool with Set and Necropolis?
F3 and FNV fans can agree on one thing
>Fallout 4 is dogshit
I can agree that fallout 4 is better than nv
Yeah, though I think the people who try to act like Fallout 3 and NV's gunplay is better then Fallout 4's are insane.
Not that 4's is good, it just went from bad to meh.
Fallout 4 has an android waifu though, something NV and 3 don't have.
Fallout 4 is a the first of the series I just couldn't bring myself to finish, and that's including Brotherhood of Steel
The above poster? browses reddit.
Anon, Reddit loves New Vegas.
Curie is overrated and shit.
Android gfs are never overrated anon.
>Fallout 3 has Americans using the G3
>Fallout New Vegas has the NCR using an AR-15 (As well as Old World military AR-15 rifles)
>Fallout 4 has the Old World using...
Apparently it was meant to be a Light Machine Gun? Considering how bulky it is it does feel like it fits better as a rifle for a power armored solider then a regular grunt.
It still looks like a world war 1 abomination.
?t=2080
I've listened to this mini-rant entirely too many times.
I stopped caring about that guy when they started shilling the frontier.
Fair, I just avoided those videos and assumed they were starved for new (relevant) content and views that they'd go full bore into the trash that was The Frontier. I just watched the Rimmy Downunder review and felt happier devoting no extra time or mental capacity to it.
I actually played Frontier at release and did the Legion playthrough. I deleted everything related to it after I was done but I was posting screenshots for it on Ganker, some I think got used for compilations shitting on it, like the image of the "Spirit of Lanius" guy or a random Legionary talking about a ghoul called Tandi Aradesh killing legionnaires.
They later acknowledged it was a mess and while thinking it had a lot of issues that it had some good stuff. They shilled it initially because they were still early in it. I think the /k/gay doing the rants hated it from day 1 though.
>Reddit loves New Vegas
I wouldn't know, I don't browse reddit.
It's not exactly a well kept secret. New Vegas isn't some hidden gem.
>ceasar's legion are the worst and shieet
And then you meet cesser and he's like the most pathetic bald Manlet with ass cancer
It's really funny how bitter the writers of FO3 seemed to be about people complaining about the ending after they had to add in the sensible choices.
The ending cards are basically
"Well the lone wanderer was supposed to sacrifice himself but he had to be a BIG FRICKING PUSSY WIMP b***h and ask any of his half dozen companions who could do the thing easily without dying. So those guys became the big legendary heroes and people didn't give a shit about the stupid lone wanderer. >:("
After Modern Warfare vidya finally became a normie hobby not only enjoyed and consumed by everyone but surpassing film and television in sheer profitability.
Fallout 3 was literally "normies first RPG" for millions of people.
Fallout 3 is the only reason New Vegas exists.
NV exists because of 1 and 2.
Fallout was dead until Bethesda brought it. The only reason Obsidian got a chance to make New Vegas is because 3 made normalgays care about the series.
>He doesn't know
>A dead never ever project that died with black isle
Really owning me there anon.
>Fallout was dead until Bethesda bought it.
It was dormant like a lot of RPGs from that time. It would've most likely had a revival like those games as well if Obsidian eventually got the license. Might've even had some decent writing instead of the trash Todd scribbled together.
Todd just redid Fallout 1's initial plot of getting the water chip but instead of the master and mutants being the later big bad it's the Enclave.
Pretty much, even did that worse in every way.
Should've said above average by Vidya standards.
>Might've even had some decent writing
You mean mediocre writing. Video games don't have good writing, and that includes Obsidian one's. It's just slightly better.
>Might've even had some decent writing
Do you need your porn to be Shakespeare as well homosexual
Yes
No but I prefer an immersive RPG have more than "it's ur destiny to die" be the only reason you have to die.
And I'm thankful for that but that doesn't really change what I said?
It was the first really big Western RPG that caught the attention of people when vidya finally crossed that line of no longer being this niche hobby but instead something found in every household as common as the tv itself. And for people that never really experienced any form of RPG's it was a big deal. Simple and basic enough to attract as many people as possible but just a bit complex and deeper enough than the average military shooter that basically exploded the industry.
Fallout 3 is the main reason anyone on Ganker is even aware of the series.
>Fallout 3 is the main reason anyone on Ganker is even aware of the series.
Congratulations, you literally proved my point.
Frick off then old man.
Being a gateway to the medium isn't a bad thing. Like, it's a bit annoying when people act like it's the total peak but I really am grateful 3 brought the series from the grave and give us NV.
But like, you have to accept 3 was always made to appeal to a broader audiance and be far less complicated comparatively to other RPG's and released at the most perfect time.
It's like getting angry when people say "Bioshock was made to be a less complex System Shock 2 to appeal to console players". Like, my man, that is a direct quote from the lead dev.
3 was very much the same way.
Infinite's issue was that like 60% of the actual game got cut and wasted so much cash and time on shit they never even added it bankrupted the studio.
I swear I read somewhere that Irrational actually had a fire that destroyed a bunch of their work and they had to redo everything from scratch but for the life of me I cannot find it again. I may be misremebering for another vidya but I swear it about Infinite.
Alright then, I'll apologize because your post at
it sounded more to me like you were one of those I wish the series had stayed dead then the zoomers get to play Fallout >:( types because I've seen plenty of that mentality on this site.
I gave up on the series when the E3 announcement for 4 showed that its removing skills entirely. But at the same time I fully acknowledge 3's importance on making the franchise profitiable and without it I wouldn't have NV which is one of my favorite games of all time.
I'm a little sad the series no longer wants me as an audience but at the end of the day it's the individual games that matter not grand franchises. Fallout being what it is now isn't the end of the world. I got shit like Underrail and Disco Elysium to get my fix ever so often.
Disco is great, I still need to play Underrail but I look at the skills and I'm trying to figure out what kind of character I want to make.
I'm kind of curious about Starfield but I'm not getting on any band wagons or hype trains and I'll properly play it a year later when there's some mods available that will let me make the game more to my tastes. But if they continue the pattern of dumbing down their games I've no interest, while Starfield Todd is claiming more they want to bring back RPG features and elements.
People who don't complete Fallout 3's intended book-end don't deserve good writing. Bethesda were obligated to give you other options but I love that they put zero effort into them lmao get fricked
This. Rockstar does it too and I love the tears it creates
Is it just nostalgia or is there something about 1 and 2's aesthetic that makes them look much better than 3, NV, or 4?
Well 3 and NV look awful and 4 just looks like a early ps4 game. Also I imagine a isometric RPG it can be easier to make nicer looking environments or make shit look like the concept art.
>New Vegas looks awfu-
I love NV but it doesn't count if you have the Flora and Terrain mod and even with it, yes, that STILL looks ugly.
I blame Gamebryo like everyone else.
Why don't fallout laser gun NBA s just let you shoot a continuous beam? Why do they have recoil? Why do they look like shoeboxes?
>Why don't fallout laser gun NBA s just let you shoot a continuous beam
I think I saw a Video where Sawyer talks about cutting content where he talks about how making it so you can interrupt your reload for a pump action, a lever action or revolver was a massive pain and nearly got cut, I think me mentions they wanted beam weapons but they were also a massive fricking pain in the ass as well.
I wonder if beam weapons has the same weird issues that shotguns in FO3 had with regard to VATS
I stopped playing New Vegas when the pozzed shit showed up, like the best fighter in the legion arena being a fricking black woman who so good she can somehow kill legionaries with armor and machetes with nothing but rags covering her and no weapon.
Based. Ganker is full of hypocritical Black folk who only defend the pozzed shit in Vegas because they played it as teenagers.
>ask a woman for help
>get mad when she helps you
If you look up to this moron there is something defective in your mind.
have a nice day nu Vegas troon
Fallout New Vegas has a HOMOSEXUAL companion Arcade.
Fallout New Vegas has a LESBIAN companion Veronica.
Fallout New Vegas has a LESBIAN companion Christine.
Fallout New Vegas only gives the legion 30 MINUTES of story.
Fallout New Vegas has GAY perks that let you SLEEP with Benny, even if you're the SAME sex.
Fallout New Vegas is an SJW game played by SJWs.
Remember: Anyone that says Fallout New Vegas is a GOOD game is HAPPY for the death of western civilization, ideals, and probably is a cuck for black dick.
k
>Can't refute it
lmao
you're confused. we're not having a debate.
i don't care about your dumbshit opinions.
>Fallout New Vegas has a HOMOSEXUAL companion Arcade.
You can kill him
>Fallout New Vegas has a LESBIAN companion Veronica.
So? Doesn't stop her from being a cool tomboy friend.
>Fallout New Vegas has a LESBIAN companion Christine.
Who?
>Fallout New Vegas only gives the legion 30 MINUTES of story.
Who cares? Only trannies and incels like Legion, Mr.House is better.
>Fallout New Vegas has GAY perks that let you SLEEP with Benny, even if you're the SAME sex.
It has a Lady Killer perk too.
>Only trannies like the faction that treats women the correct way and spend all they becoming chads
I accept your concession.
More like the incel faction that treats women like shit while also harboring many closet homosexuals according to many characters. Reminds me of this board.

Holy mother of based
>hates Christians
>calls himself after a character that was written by a devout Christian writer
This guy is the very definition of white trash.
Getting someone's opinions on Tolkien's work is one of the easiest, most consistent methods of learning how stupid they really are.
>H-He was forced!
Also, he is changing goalpost, he is still liking a character made by a devout Christian, not only that but I'm pretty sure Gandalf The White is supposed to represent the Messiah archetype, the savior that brings light that extinguishes darkness, which is the opposite of someone that murdered a guy in cold blood and burned places of religious worship in his primate and teenage rage. He is also a leech that fricked off to France just to leech off money from the government by not working.
You don't even have to try to read that deeply into it. The temptation of Galadriel scene spells it all out for the reader as plain as day. Anyone that would argue otherwise is a genuine idiot that not only doesn't know how to read, but also doesn't know to shut the frick up and not speak about shit they know nothing about. I'd be surprised if Varg even read 5 pages of Tolkien's work and didn't just base all he knows of it off the films.
Why is he such a subhuman? Like, I will never understand how a failure like him can actually convince himself to be so right while also being wrong about everything.
Everyone knows the Legion is composed of homosexuals and sissies in skirts. No wonder Sheenequa would kick their asses.
Half the npcs in the fort are training or exercising. Nice cope homosexual.
Doing 3 push ups isn't training, homosexual.
>That
>Caucasian
No.
>American education
>we wuz
>Muh white features
Just stop anon. She looks like a mutt.
Todd is putting you in the shoes of The Master from Fallout 1. Fawkes just used a 100 Speech check on you and now the Lone Wanderer has to die, just like the Master did. It's a rather brilliant meta-commentary on RPG game mechanics that few people have caught on to.
You need to be above a certain IQ to be able to appreciate Todd's genius I guess.
i bet todd is also very happy that he has fricktards like you to write his shit
I like Fallout New Vegas because I do not support the opinions of Indians.
I genuinely don't understand the waifugayging for Cass. She's suppose to be a 37 year old alcoholic roastie who's properly had miles of dick in her and I've seen Ganker lose it's shit over less.
>She's suppose to be a 37 year old alcoholic roastie who's properly had miles of dick in her
Yes, and?
Yes you both have low standards, I get it, it doesn't make you a chad or anything, just pathetic.
She is worst companion along with Arcade, just kill them. Better way to kill them is to send one to the Silver Rush, while waiting until you get the other homosexual's armor before killing him.
Who gives a frick? It's not like you're gonna marry her and settle down. Get your dick wet, roll on some frickers with a bro, and have a good time.
>It's not like you're gonna marry her
You say that but one of the things they cut was that you would get drunk with her in freeside and wake up the next morning to find out the king married you two.
Vulgar, obscene and degenerate, just kill her.
It's not surprising, Fallout 2 did something similar. You frick the town bicycle, her dad walks in and if you can't convince him with speech you either run out of town being attacked or get forced to marry her.
At least Fallout 2 didn't take itself seriously unlike New Vegas.
Oh that's interesting, never knew about that.
*yawn*
Cuck.
There's not much about it because it got cut early on I think. I think mainly because they'd want the King to sing an Elvis song, but it would cost a lot to use his songs which is why there's none of his stuff on the radio despite the game having a entire gang styled after him.
Again, New Vegas is one of Ganker's pet games so shit that in another game they'd seethe about they'll excuse when it comes to Vegas.
What's not to like? She's a rough and tumble cowgirl caravaneer on the frontier with a love of booze and a foul mouth. Ganker are the ones that lose their shit whenever one of their moeblobs knows what a penis is but Ganker is always cooming out of their minds over anything even barely resembling a tomboy.
>Ganker are the ones that lose their shit whenever one of their moeblobs knows what a penis is
If you go into any thread about a recent RPG whenever romances come up it's anons complaining about them not being virgins.
Which ones
She is obscene, vulgar, foul mouthed and has no feminine charm. Might as well change her to a male.
No shit. She's basically a genderswapped John Cassidy from Fallout 2. That's why people like her.
how did bethesda get away with becoming an increasingly shit dev every game post-morrowind?
has any dev become more popular by removing features in every subsequent game?
>has any dev become more popular by removing features in every subsequent game?
FromSoft
How comes the Legion is so loyal to Caesar, there's literally only one guy who shows any doubt to what he's told and even then it's because he holds out hope that he can escape and return to the Legion, I think it would have been interesting to have some legionaries who see Vegas and think it's better than having to serve Caesar
>How comes the Legion is so loyal to Caesar
Because he kills the ones that aren't? It's a warlord cult.
You seem confused. I said to frick the b***h.
She doesn't even frick you, cuck.
Hypothetically, dipshit. The video game isn't real life.
Unfortunately for you, you don't even get to frick in real life, you virgin, you loser.
>you don't even get to frick in real life, you virgin, you loser.
He's an idiot but you're losing the argument anyway because you're clearly butthurt
I'm not butthurt, I'm just outraged at the thought of someone even slightly thinking of liking a roastie like Cass. Like, the whole thought of that makes me super mad that I would have to boot the game up and just go to the Mojave Outpost to put a hole in that prostitute's head.
He's not personally breathing over the shoulders of the ones he sends across the colorado or his frumentarii, I just think the way his soldiers are insanely loyal to a man who literally doesn't care about them is a bit hard to believe, like I know they were raised on it but Vegas is meant to be impressive, I think some would entertain running away from the Legion
TAKE THE POO
TO THE LOO
Is FO4 worth playing?
Just don't expect a RPG and you might get some enjoyment out of it. I'm not as autistic as most anons on Ganker seem to be about Todd but it's very much a step down.
It's worth a pirate if you've never played it.
If you're expecting anything like NV or even 3 then no, I honestly can't think of a single positive thing to say about it but at the same time it's not offensively bad
Yes, it has an android gf.
So in other words, people are homosexuals for John.
so when exactly DID the nukes drop, anyway?
i know it was October 23 2077.
but what timezone?
how many were rockets? how about any bombers?
where all was hit?
where was hit first?
>what time zone did a world event happen in
???
>world event
it was the US and China, moron.
europe chimped out and nuked itself decades earlier though but other than that AFAIK nowhere else except the CCP and USA were fricked. and MAYBE the Soviets. (who still exist canonically)
>it only happened in china and US
its heavily implied that the whole world got fricked moron. You do know the US has bases in other countries, right?
>what time zone did the bombs drop
>in a country with 4 time zones
brain dead
none were dropped. everyone was drugged into thinking a war was happening in a collaboration between vaulttec and the govt
I wanted to thank everyone in these Fallout threads because you people inspired me to make a fangame and its going pretty well.
Is it one that's been announced? I recall some anons talking about a mod for New Vegas set in New Mexico or something.
I like both base games about the same but come on, let’s be honest when it comes to DLC 3 had better locations save for MZ.
Point Lookout is my favorite of both games dlc tbh. The main issue that a lot of them share is they're rather linear. Point Lookout had a fairly big map, Zion and The Sink are decently sized while Anchorage, the Pitt, Zeta, Dead Money and Lonesome Road are a lot more linear.
I actually am one of the few who really enjoys Honest Hearts. I find Zion extremely comfy to explore.
This thread wasn't too bad when it wasn't just the usual sperging out at each other over Fallout 3 and NV.
This thread is proof new vegas gays are utterly irredeemable, and only regurgitate opinons made by a very vocal minority
