Make it scarier, without getting rid of the fun b-movie Leon one liners
that's literally it
ANYTHING else and it loses the magic
The excessive B-movie one liners are tonally dissonant and further ruined what little scary or intimidating atmosphere they were trying to achieve in the original.
If they're smart, they'll either severely tone them down throughout the entire game, or have Leon gradually say more and more of them as he and the player gain confidence and experience overtime. So, similar to Ethan in RE8.
Honestly, the dialogue, narrative continuity, story and overall writing could use massive improvements in general.
>RE7 Jack Baker >RE8 Lady D and her daughters >RE2make Mr. X >RE3make Tyrant
So, who's the following invincible enemy in this game?
Mendez and Verdugo.

the atmosphere they were trying to achieve was a Sam Raimi horror comedy
RE4 is a comedy, and always was. It takes a few breaks from comedy and they never last more than a few minutes. How do people not understand this if they've played the game.
If Capcom is really making a serious game from RE4 they're insane. It's like a remake of Gremlins 2 trying to be straight horror, you can't even use 1/10th of the movie as an outline for that.

Yes, and it turned out to be an incredibly stupid decision in the long-term.
And no, originally the game was meant to be pure survival-horror with a darker, psychological tone, as noted by the 3.5 beta footage and removed game & story concepts.
>If Capcom is really making a serious game from RE4 they're insane.
No they aren't. They know RE4's immense success steered the franchise away from its survival horror roots. That's why they're taking a more serious, gritty and horror-themed approach with this reimagining. They know a reimagining essential if they don't want to find themselves the franchise suffering from another Michael Bay-tier dumpster fire akin to 5 or 6 again.
And honestly, I suspect people who love RE4 for its over-the-top camp and excessive action were probably newfound "fans" who had never played an RE game prior to 4 to begin with.

It's not just the story. As previously stated, it completely fricked over the franchise's overall tone and survival-horror aspects. More or less, RE4's success earned the franchise a frickton of fake, newfound fans. Capcom felt compelled to appeal to these fake/newfound fans who wanted more campy action, resulting in the shitshows that were 5 and 6.
>if they don't want to find themselves the franchise suffering from another Michael Bay-tier dumpster fire akin to 5 or 6 again.
Lmao bro have you played 8? It's already at that level by the end
I did. The major difference between 8 and 4 is that 8 had gradual build-up with its bravado as Ethan and the player progressed through the game. So in some instances, the campy-action felt rewarding as a result. Example being, the playable Chris segment felt tonally appropriate in the game as it happens right after Ethan's initial "death," fueling the player to get revenge on Miranda.
Whereas RE4 is campy-action schlock from the get-go with a Marvel-tier quipping protagonist cracking dad jokes left and right in every cutscene or after a multitude of intense events.
TL;DR - RE8 took itself seriously when it needed to. RE4 never did and was tonally dissonant as a result.
Good
Krauser was a literal who that was put in to try and give Leon an actual backstory beyond simping for Ada.

Hard agree. If his removal from the game means more focus on Ada, Ashley, Luis, Saddler, Salazar, then it's worth it. I'll admit I'm going to miss his knife fight and boss battle - but they could replace him with a different character and it wouldn't actually matter that much.

Like I said, it's not just the plot. It's the tone and the gameplay as well. As much as you hate to admit it, the story does a lot to set the tone of a game - especially if the game's supposed to have horror elements heavily incorporated into it.
RE4 threw out the survival horror elements in favor of intense action and this became increasingly problematic in later titles . While intense action can be utilized to induce a sense of fear or unease into the player (the opening village segment with the locales and the chainsaw comes to mind,) that often wasn't the case through most of the game itself.

Nooooo you can't just turn a borderline comedic horror game into a serious horror game because....well you just can't OK!
being far superior to the other over the shoulder shitfests isn't the fault of RE4. capcom figured since the camera was generic, they could do the same with the story and gameplay and visuals
>they could do the same with the story and gameplay and visuals
The only generic thing about RE4 is the basic premise (lone hero rescues a young woman) Claiming the gameplay is generic is non-sensical as there was nothing else like it at the time of release.
ive never played re4 until about a week ago and i dont really understand why people dont like the island, i get not liking the helicopter segment but the interior with the regenerators and iron maidens is really fun, having a somewhat open area like that felt fun to explore. why dont people like it? i didnt like the last part of the castle that much comparatively.
I agree, but I didn't ask if you liked it, I asked who you think it's going to be.
Capcom, and even more specifically the REteam, doesn't change shit if it's working, and the last 4 RE games have been huge successes that the larger fanbase likes.
What's even worse is the game is probably going to be short enough to speedrun in 2-3 hours like the others for the cheevos
sold 2 million within the first 5 day
Definitely the worst one, but it was a success and people didn't b***h TOO much about it (except about it's length)
>be short enough to speedrun in 2-3 hours like the others for the cheevos
I hate that this will be true. 4 was an actual long game unlike the revious ones even on repeat playthroughs.
They'll probably have several for each section.
Menendez will be the token invincible enemy for the village section. The whole village (and much of the game probably) will be redesigned to be far more circular and he'll start chasing you when you get back to the church after the initial meeting.
The castle will be quiet for the beginning but Verdugo will begin pestering you much earlier probably when Ashley gets captured again.
Krauser will be the annoyance for the island and basically pester you from the beginning. He'll have a lot more dialog and chase you relentlessly.
Dude that's a good idea. Have him poke his head out around corners or hiding spaces to set booby traps or signal that he's spying on you and about to do something. Perhaps have him take pot shots at other times or shot poison darts at you that blur your vision
Unironically just next gen graphics. There are sections that I don't like in the game but I'd rather have everything as is then have something cut. Gameplay and gunplay still hold up unlike 7,2make, 3make and 8 which have god awful gunplay. So the only thing that should change is the graphics.
>So the only thing that should change is the graphics.
homosexuals. Listen. The HD project was finished a while ago. Go play that. No one wants the nips to duplicate the files in the HD project and make us purchase it instead of making it free.
HD project is good but it is literally the same game in the same engine
Nobody is saying it should be a total 1:1 remake, but it should try to be as faithful as possible, while looking like a 2022 game. Simple as that.
>homosexual wants zombies mulling around Resident evil-style >while he zip zooms around with commando and tac knife like CoD >killing zombies before they can even turn towards him >"This is fair"
You have FOMO addictions/disabilities and you only want to play re because everyone else is. And you want everyone else to suffer with a shitty game, so you can still play it while everyone else is doing it, even if they wind up hating it.
Frick you and your disability. Deal with it by yourself or have a nice day so we don't have to hear it anymore.
No need to have slow ass zombies since they aren't zombies. Have them move like a normal human would and let your PC move like a normal human would.
You just made the game harder this way, not easier, since the enemy dragging themselves around being easy targets help you more than being slow drag you down.
They will remove the fun, campy tone. It'll be deadly serious and it will try extra hard to scare you. Ammo will be much more scarce and even the enemy count will be lowered, however enemies will not drop items on death. It will a scary and engaging experience the first run you play, but most people will still go back to replaying RE4 original.
They can't. And they won't. They'll just cut or change the goofy and "offensive" stuf (aka soul) and turn it into a spooky, self serius, haunted house ride. Instead of snarky badass Leon we'll get boring, suicidal, PTSD Leon. Because Resident Evil these days is serious hecking business!
>if there isn't ashley panties, a ballistics comment, and "overtime" in the remake I won't buy
You might as well spend your money on something else now, because there is no fricking way that is comming back in the remake. They couldn't even put Ashley in a skirt without covering up her legs and puttng her in a jacket. That old Capcom is dead. They'd probably go back to RE2 Remake and re-dress Ada into some jeans if they could. They just know that there would be way too much backlash for what it's worth.
>"Well if it isn't the slant eyed motherfricking b***h in the red sweatervest..."
I know they were looking to go for a darker tone this time but wew lad.
You know they're going to frick up the story and dialog right? They already took out lines from the vr version. They will probably remove all sexuality and make leon some regular moron instead of the lovable one he was. They will remove the camp and try to play it deadly serious. Capcom should just make new games or commit seppuku in front of their corporate headquarters.
It's not that funny a haircut, and you can't really change it considering how big a part of his design it is. Look at the trailer and Leon's dialogue in it to see what sort of tone you can expect
It's an extremely funny haircut for a heterosexual that's supposed to be an adult working in the secret service, they could have given him a straight haircut
It was shorter and less silly in Remake 2 and he was also supposed to be like a 20 year old in a podunk blue collar job not a late 20s secret service agent. It's a comical haircut, they know it's a comical haircut, it gives me a little hope that the game will still be significantly comedic.

Nothing we've seen indicates that it will be significantly comedic. The trailer has Leon go >muh PTSD

Stop coping. The only reason they didn't change it is because it's an iconic look. It's like having Wesker without his sunglasses. People would lose their shit.
Good
Krauser was a literal who that was put in to try and give Leon an actual backstory beyond simping for Ada.
It didn't work since you end up killing him anyway.. >Oh my god it's Krauser! What a shock. Welp.
Everyone playing was like: >Who's Krauser?
And? Doesn't make Leon any more relevant to the series or a more "indepth character"
Leon has always been a simp and nothing more.
He's literally the simp of the series.
No matter how much they try to flesh out his backstory or have him mysteriously trained by multiple government agencies.
They could change that by having him grow a pair and take back the plagas sample from Ada, considering the plot's clearly going in a different, retconned direction from this point forward. Doubt it'll happen though.
For the sole purpose of trying to add to another shit character just because he's the "poster boy", end up not doing that and then get killed off anyway?
Yes, I do have a problem with that.
Why are you so concerned with Krauser? He's a pretty good fit in the game. Gives Leon someone to interact with in a dynamic you don't have in the rest of the game. He's a pretty good boss fight and has a nice QTE section. Is your problem that Leon knows the character but that we don't?
Played it no long ago, and honestly it surprisingly still holds up, aside from the island part being a drag it was a decent game, so aside from changing that I don't know any drastic changes that would be necessary to improve it. Though I haven't played it or any of the RE games beyond RE2 Remake so take it as you might.
>get mad when it first releases because of muh isometric autism >years later remake is announced >get mad that it's not faithful to the original that casualised the series
I hope you dont do this
That's how 4 fricked the series hard.
Las plagas, uroboros, mold, fricking black goo monsters.
RE4 literally has a research facility that was creating non-plagas bioweapons like U3 and Verdugo.
It was all there and they could have just had something good.
But no, "plagas" aka just people enemies coming at you with pitchforks and axes, then guns.
Wooooow.
Even 7 is closer to the mark than 4/5 were.
This remake should be completely different and fix 4 shitting up the series so hard that 5 and 6 had to take the hit and come up with some horseshit that tried to get things back on track.
-4 >1998, i'll never fricking forget it, umbrella died; now we are going after a cult with alien parasites
-5 >Actually umbrella didn't die, it just changed its name lol still functions as normal
That was such a moronic idea killing off Umbrella.
7 established that Chris + co bought the remains of Umbrella to get the secrets.
THAT is what should have happened to begin with.
THEN you could go off on a mystery virus of the week episode per game where the crew uncovers the experiments that Umbrella and other companies are doing.
No need for BSAA, no need for constant backtracking to patch holes.
>remake of 4 will be relegated to a village assetflip
That alone will make it suck ass. Pretty sure 4, with the exception of some reused sound effects, was entirely original.
Mikami said he wanted to expand the story, since he wrote it within a prohibitively short amount of time. I think it was three weeks? Which when you're also directing the game, a game you wanted noting to do with, I can imagine it'd be rushed.
The plot they had going for the beta version of the game was just fine, there was no need to turn it into the clusterfrick it became with 4's final release.
>Ashley was supposed to be Sherry Berkin >Leon was forced to become her bodyguard after the events from 2, via the US government >Umbrella stock tanks after the Racoon City incident, company is dismantled; Spencer goes into hiding >US government creates task forces who are assigned to track down the remnants of Umbrella's secret bio-labs >Spencer & the remnants of Umbrella kidnap Sherry because of her newfound immortality she received after the G-virus mutated her body to some degree >they take her hostage in his family lineage's castle in order to extract samples from her to make and create who knows what >Leon assigned to rescue her before Spencer & co could utilize her mutated DNA >the castle was also the origin of G-virus (seems like they reutilized this plot point in RE8 with Miranda's village being the origin site for the mold)
That's already far more consistent & compelling than what we got with the plagas, Saddler and rescuing the president's daughter for some reason.
>the frick where the writers smoking when they wrote RE4
B action horror films? That story works for a straight survival horror game but RE4 evolved into action schlock, so the story changed to match
The beta plots still had quite a bit of silly stuff in them. Like how there was an ancient lost civilization buried under Spencer's castle and the virus was found in the entombed body of their immortal emperor. I'm sure he probably would have woken up for a boss fight or something too.
How did these RE remakes become the newest games for coomers? Before that they had Skyrim and I suppose a bunch of other pervert games I do not know the name of but as far as big releases go these RE games would be the biggest ones I can think of after Skyrim that coomers kept making mods for.
>all of these replies of morons spazzing about how the remake won’t be exactly the same
Why the frick would anyone want this? Guess what: the original RE4 is not going anywhere. Play that one. For the rest of us, re2 remake changed the game for the better in just about every way. I love re4, but modern controls is going to feel much better.
>Guess what: the original RE4 is not going anywhere.
As time goes by all of these remakes and remasters do take the place of the original games. If Capcom made a RE collection, the original RE2 and 3 would not be included in favor for the new ones. Those games still exist for easy emulation of course but it does become significantly more difficult to legally obtain them.
Meanwhile, the Mega Man remakes are trapped on the PSP. The Pokemon remakes are less obtainable than the originals, and it's easier to play Metroid NES than it is Zero Mission.
They are all cardboard cutouts with no personality, plot armor because Capcom are deathly afraid of angering the fanbase lest one of them would die, and increasingly contrived reasons for even being there.
This is why I maybe only liked Jake in RE6 because it was finally some fresh blood in the franchise, same with Ethan. Chris, Leon, and Jill will always be the classics, but I really don't need them to be the center of every game and I felt this majorly when playing Revelations. While we are getting good games again, I still feel like we need another change in the status quo.
Finally after almost 2 decades horrorgays finna shut their punk ass b***h ass up. It's totally going to be 100% super cereal (and I don't mind one bit).
They're gonna throw campsisters a bone though once they finish the game, don't know how but it will.
You escort her through maybe 4 sections of the game. Her segments maybe make up 30% of the actual total playtime, and most of the time you can get her to hide in a box. I genuinely don't know why people complain about her.
this! did these fricker even play the game?? maybe the only time we need to really look out for her was in the water room and the swinging ball room, if capcom really remove her escort entirely because of these frickers complain i am gonna be fricking mad
Take the original RE4 and add >Butron Remaping >Chapter select >An armory that let's me keep all of the weapons I fully maxed out >More Merc characters >More Merc stages >Coop mercs >higher difficulty setting >More bonus weapons and costumes
The base game is already a 10, so instead of fixing what isn't broken, add more to it instead of lazily porting it to newer consoles.
So I just bought RE2 the other day and finally got a chance to play the first few minutes, it moves like shit, aims like shit, Leon is slow as shit, the pacing is terrible, linear, restrictive and it's scripted out the ass.
Is the whole game equally shit, is the whole game just moron bait or does it become a proper game as it goes on?
>it moves like shit, aims like shit, Leon is slow as shit, the pacing is terrible, linear, restrictive and it's scripted out the ass.
It's a remake of RE2, what did you expect?
I expected full control of my character and proper movement speed, like in the original RE2.
I see the "scary" scripted events coming a mile away and are no fun.
It's more like how can capcom make RE4 even worse. >no ballistic missiles >no brazen pantyshots >no you're small time >no your right hand comes off? >no MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE >no Ashley suplex >hell probably no Leon suplex >no cheesy as hell knife fight between Krauser and Leon
Only way you could improve the original is to let the player switch weapons with the dpad. It's perfect.
The Remake is clearly not going to even try to replace the original and is doing it's own thing so they can pretty much do whatever they want with it.
I don't know how they can improve it but the HD texture mod already made RE4 look even better, so I don't really care, Capcom can do whatever they want with the reimagining.
Why does the camera in RE:4 and TEW piss people off so much?
There an inital hurdle, but once you get used to it, it sorta helps with the clausterphobia and making combat more frantic.

Basically learn from Dead Space.
>Make it darker
Pls no, it's got the best atmosphere of any OTS game already
>Basically learn from Dead Space
Cringe
>a little FRICKING rough don't you think?
>Hey Capcom. Learn from this dead franchise.
Miss me with that homosexualry.
everything can be improved because RE4 is a shit game to begin with.
Make it scarier, without getting rid of the fun b-movie Leon one liners
that's literally it
ANYTHING else and it loses the magic
I think they're going to make it a horror game this time instead of an action game
>RE7 Jack Baker
>RE8 Lady D and her daughters
>RE2make Mr. X
>RE3make Tyrant
So, who's the following invincible enemy in this game?
Ashley
>ashley
>invincible
I fricking hope so
Handling Ashely isn't a problem unless you suck at the game.
Everyone who's a normal player or better knows you suck. The marketers handling this thread should ignore your wrong opinion.
I hope no one because that shtick is beyond boring, annoying and stale now. Think of something else.
>RE3 remake
>success
sold 2 million within the first 5 day
Definitely the worst one, but it was a success and people didn't b***h TOO much about it (except about it's length)
Sales numbers don't mean a game is good and I think by you saying what you said I think that makes that point.
Re2 demake was boring af and it cut out parts of the old game and they didn't even capitalize on the creepy atmosphere. At all. Fail. 2/10
>be short enough to speedrun in 2-3 hours like the others for the cheevos
Probably one of Ramon Salazar's bodyguard s. He will stalk you over a larger period of the game, instead of just being a one time boss battle.
Dude that's a good idea. Have him poke his head out around corners or hiding spaces to set booby traps or signal that he's spying on you and about to do something. Perhaps have him take pot shots at other times or shot poison darts at you that blur your vision
The Big Cheese
RE8 also has the fetus
Unironically just next gen graphics. There are sections that I don't like in the game but I'd rather have everything as is then have something cut. Gameplay and gunplay still hold up unlike 7,2make, 3make and 8 which have god awful gunplay. So the only thing that should change is the graphics.
>So the only thing that should change is the graphics.
homosexuals. Listen. The HD project was finished a while ago. Go play that. No one wants the nips to duplicate the files in the HD project and make us purchase it instead of making it free.
Become less moronic
HD project is good but it is literally the same game in the same engine
Nobody is saying it should be a total 1:1 remake, but it should try to be as faithful as possible, while looking like a 2022 game. Simple as that.
Remove tank controls
>homosexual wants zombies mulling around Resident evil-style
>while he zip zooms around with commando and tac knife like CoD
>killing zombies before they can even turn towards him
>"This is fair"
You have FOMO addictions/disabilities and you only want to play re because everyone else is. And you want everyone else to suffer with a shitty game, so you can still play it while everyone else is doing it, even if they wind up hating it.
Frick you and your disability. Deal with it by yourself or have a nice day so we don't have to hear it anymore.
No need to have slow ass zombies since they aren't zombies. Have them move like a normal human would and let your PC move like a normal human would.
You just made the game harder this way, not easier, since the enemy dragging themselves around being easy targets help you more than being slow drag you down.
People who think Re4 need improvements are not real fans.
If there isn't ashley panties, a ballistics comment, and "overtime" in the remake I won't buy it, I'll just wait for the crack to come out
>if there isn't ashley panties, a ballistics comment, and "overtime" in the remake I won't buy
They just know that there would be way too much backlash for what it's worth.
nah, they're not that pozzed. we got naked lady in dmc5 and lady d milktrucks. but I do agree, the ashley redesign is worrying
>"Well if it isn't the slant eyed motherfricking b***h in the red sweatervest..."
I know they were looking to go for a darker tone this time but wew lad.
STOP REMAKING GAMES AND MAKE NEW GAMES YOU FRICKING homosexualS
You know they're going to frick up the story and dialog right? They already took out lines from the vr version. They will probably remove all sexuality and make leon some regular moron instead of the lovable one he was. They will remove the camp and try to play it deadly serious. Capcom should just make new games or commit seppuku in front of their corporate headquarters.
My only ray of hope is that they still gave Leon the dumb haircut. How can you give him that haircut and not play RE4 as a comedy?
>My only ray of hope is that they still gave Leon the dumb haircut
??
What? That's a dumb haircut.
its awesome
It's not that funny a haircut, and you can't really change it considering how big a part of his design it is. Look at the trailer and Leon's dialogue in it to see what sort of tone you can expect
It's an extremely funny haircut for a heterosexual that's supposed to be an adult working in the secret service, they could have given him a straight haircut
The remake still doesn't seem all that funny if you take what they've shown. It's not like he was a funny guy in Remake 2
The trailer has Leon go
>muh PTSD
It's not going to be RE4 Leon, anon
Stop coping. The only reason they didn't change it is because it's an iconic look. It's like having Wesker without his sunglasses. People would lose their shit.
Dude, it's Resident Evil. Anything goes.
>no more Krauser
Its dead.
>according to leaks..
it's nothing (I hope)
Did they really cut Krauser? WTF
sovless
Good
Krauser was a literal who that was put in to try and give Leon an actual backstory beyond simping for Ada.
It didn't work since you end up killing him anyway..
>Oh my god it's Krauser! What a shock. Welp.
Everyone playing was like:
>Who's Krauser?
Shut up, comrade.
The knife fight and the entire boss battle against is one of the highlights of the game you dumbfrick
TW: Homophobia, suicide
Off yourself, homosexual
>TW: Homophobia, suicide
I can't decide if this is really gay or really funny
>literal who
So you have a problem with introducing a new character in stories? Lol that's dumb
Is your problem that Leon knows the character but that we don't?
>in a dynamic you don't have
>..any fricking context for at all
Fix that for you champ.
What context do you need?
>it doesnt NEED krauser
the cope has begun
These are capcom shills warming people up to the disappointment that this demake will be
And Salazar is no longer a dwarf. What the frick were they thinking?
>how can crapcum improve
they can't
Played it no long ago, and honestly it surprisingly still holds up, aside from the island part being a drag it was a decent game, so aside from changing that I don't know any drastic changes that would be necessary to improve it. Though I haven't played it or any of the RE games beyond RE2 Remake so take it as you might.
the left one looks better though
maximum cope
yellow>blue
Hello jap from Capcom, your fellow japs can improve re4 by taking out the qtes
Thanks Black person
>get mad when it first releases because of muh isometric autism
>years later remake is announced
>get mad that it's not faithful to the original that casualised the series
I hope you dont do this
Outsource it to indians. What would indian Resident Evil be like?
It would be shit..literally.
b***h bloody bastard!
>LEON SAR THE BRITISHER IS COMING
>mash X to dance like a moron
it'd be like the bollywood movies
cringe kino
By removing the whole castle section. Stupid shit straight out of castlevania. The village was so comfy but the castle part sucked.
skip re4 and remake re5 like it was on the beta trailer
with zombies and over 20 enemies fricking rushing you
That's how 4 fricked the series hard.
-4
>1998, i'll never fricking forget it, umbrella died; now we are going after a cult with alien parasites
-5
>Actually umbrella didn't die, it just changed its name lol still functions as normal
You are the only person in the universe that gives a frick about the integrity of RE's story you dumb c**t
>No need for BSAA,
but who else is going to use a fricking rail gun to cause more damage than the monsters anon?
BEST. FRICKING. GIRL. OF. COURSE.
Thank god you don't fricking matter, keep seething
Stop shilling your youtube channel, homosexual.
>remake of 4 will be relegated to a village assetflip
That alone will make it suck ass. Pretty sure 4, with the exception of some reused sound effects, was entirely original.
RE4 as a whole is a mess of builds. It's hard to say if anything besides the idea of the Castle and Hewie were left over from that.
Also, Haunting Ground was entirely reused assets from RE3.5 and was great.
>Ashley was supposed to be Sherry Berkin
>Leon was forced to become her bodyguard after the events from 2, via the US government
>Umbrella stock tanks after the Racoon City incident, company is dismantled; Spencer goes into hiding
>US government creates task forces who are assigned to track down the remnants of Umbrella's secret bio-labs
>Spencer & the remnants of Umbrella kidnap Sherry because of her newfound immortality she received after the G-virus mutated her body to some degree
>they take her hostage in his family lineage's castle in order to extract samples from her to make and create who knows what
>Leon assigned to rescue her before Spencer & co could utilize her mutated DNA
>the castle was also the origin of G-virus (seems like they reutilized this plot point in RE8 with Miranda's village being the origin site for the mold)
That's already far more consistent & compelling than what we got with the plagas, Saddler and rescuing the president's daughter for some reason.
This makes way more sense and is an way superior plotline.
The frick the writers were smoking then they made this shitty ass plot?
>the frick where the writers smoking when they wrote RE4
B action horror films? That story works for a straight survival horror game but RE4 evolved into action schlock, so the story changed to match
The beta plots still had quite a bit of silly stuff in them. Like how there was an ancient lost civilization buried under Spencer's castle and the virus was found in the entombed body of their immortal emperor. I'm sure he probably would have woken up for a boss fight or something too.
>How can capcom improve RE4?
Jill.
How did these RE remakes become the newest games for coomers? Before that they had Skyrim and I suppose a bunch of other pervert games I do not know the name of but as far as big releases go these RE games would be the biggest ones I can think of after Skyrim that coomers kept making mods for.
>its a "RE1-3 gays seethe over RE4 mogging their games" episode
Twenty years. Twenty years RE4 has lived rent-free in your heads
We get it, you like tank controls and hate fun
RE4 has tank controls.
>all of these replies of morons spazzing about how the remake won’t be exactly the same
Why the frick would anyone want this?
The Pokemon remakes are less obtainable than the originals, and it's easier to play Metroid NES than it is Zero Mission.
>re2 remake changed the game for the better in just about every way
Weak bait
>re2 remake changed the game for the better in just about every way
lol. lmao even
>People who want to bring back old RE characters
Why?
They are all cardboard cutouts with no personality, plot armor because Capcom are deathly afraid of angering the fanbase lest one of them would die, and increasingly contrived reasons for even being there.
This is why I maybe only liked Jake in RE6 because it was finally some fresh blood in the franchise, same with Ethan. Chris, Leon, and Jill will always be the classics, but I really don't need them to be the center of every game and I felt this majorly when playing Revelations. While we are getting good games again, I still feel like we need another change in the status quo.
remakes are never okay unless the original team is involved
So you're saying that RE4 should be remade by Tango Gameworks?
Finally after almost 2 decades horrorgays finna shut their punk ass b***h ass up. It's totally going to be 100% super cereal (and I don't mind one bit).
They're gonna throw campsisters a bone though once they finish the game, don't know how but it will.
add walk and shoot and remove QTEs from the game other then that it's damn perfect.
I fricking hate these moronic clickbait youtube thumbnails
>Wrong Right
SHUT THE FRICK UP Black person
>remove ashley escort
>99% the fricking comment agree on it
i fricking hate youtube frickers
You escort her through maybe 4 sections of the game. Her segments maybe make up 30% of the actual total playtime, and most of the time you can get her to hide in a box. I genuinely don't know why people complain about her.
Name ONE good escort mission in any video game.
RE4 and ICO
this! did these fricker even play the game?? maybe the only time we need to really look out for her was in the water room and the swinging ball room, if capcom really remove her escort entirely because of these frickers complain i am gonna be fricking mad
People love to shit on stuff that doesn't matter. Remember when hating Navi from Ocarina of Time was the most epic meme?
I just fricking know we'll get a shitty scripted stealth section like Sherry's instead of ducking and weaving past Armaduras.
Take the original RE4 and add
>Butron Remaping
>Chapter select
>An armory that let's me keep all of the weapons I fully maxed out
>More Merc characters
>More Merc stages
>Coop mercs
>higher difficulty setting
>More bonus weapons and costumes
The base game is already a 10, so instead of fixing what isn't broken, add more to it instead of lazily porting it to newer consoles.
>lazily porting it to newer consoles
Are you from five years ago or someshit? This is not a remaster or a port.
I'm talking about how they could "fix" the original RE4, I don't care about the remake.
cut as much as possible as long fans still give it a solid 6,5/10
I see the "scary" scripted events coming a mile away and are no fun.
>full control of the character
m8 you have more control over him in RE2make than in the original.
>i just bought demake2 the other day
and another one falls for the crapcum shilling
all I ask for is haptic feedback, that shit was weird when I finally got to try it with ff7remake and deathstranding da.
Remove the RPG from the shop on a fresh file so you can't just one shot every boss in the game
It's more like how can capcom make RE4 even worse.
>no ballistic missiles
>no brazen pantyshots
>no you're small time
>no your right hand comes off?
>no MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE
>no Ashley suplex
>hell probably no Leon suplex
>no cheesy as hell knife fight between Krauser and Leon
*saves gaming*
Remove QTE cutscenes. I like the knife fight but just me let sit and watch it please.
