>some god in a far off mythology turns into a man and woman and then a bunch of animals and does things like control the flow of the sun or the wrestles stars
>humanity doesnt bat an eye for thousands of years
>happens in one videogame
>modern Gankers brainrot immediately registers fringe politics and cultural warsx
>one moron says something stupid
>all of Ganker thinks this
Lets not imply that Ganker isnt for all express purposes a hivemind. Pattern recognition exists.
I disagree with you, thus inherently disproving you as well.
There's a difference between magical transformation and cutting off your gentials + installing silicone sacs under your chest.
Let's not pretend that a lot on Ganker couldn't, or wouldn't, see the difference when the game released and still to this day.
I agree, they'd see it as a troony dogwhistle.
But it is an important distinction that both the fors and againsts muddle.
99% of the people who played this game did not think of anything regarding that. This is Ganker thing, actual brainrot that would make a common bonobo look like a college professor.
It doesn't make sense because they were in different places at the same time and we're given conflicting information about the degree to which they're each other.
God was in heaven while Jesus was on earth. Jesus was gods son but also him. And a force ghost.
No idea but it wasn't explained at all in the game sadly, like so many other things. I think what "ruined" the most the lore of Elden Ring is the fact you never directly interact with Marika so you can never know what she is, what were her real motivations, goals etc...
I mean when you finally meet her in the "flesh" she becomes Ragadon and when you become Elden Lord she... remains like a broken clay thingy. In the setting, she is the only one that can be two persons and well... the first Elden Lord Godfrey didn't need to fuse with her so... no clue really.
I don't know much about Elden Ring, but is this person a godly being? Gods seem to be that way sometimes?
God is male
its alchemy, you wouldn't get it
>im-fricking-plying tax policy man knows alchemy
miyazaki does
rebis :-DDDDD
Marika is a god, gender means little to divine beings. Take Loki, for example, who turned into a mare, got impregnated by a fricking horse, and then gave birth to Sleipnir. And then he banged a female giant and fathered a monster menagerie.
>but how the FRICK did "Marika and Radagon" have Miquella and Malenia
Through divine frickery, like Brahma spawning "mind-born children" through who-knows-where. It's gods, I don't gotta explain shit.
It's not about being a god, it's about understanding how the lore of the setting works. To change her body would be completely accepted and understood since so many others do it in the lore but Marika and Radagon were capable of living two lifes apart from each other at the same time.
The flow of time is convoluted in all FROMSOFT games. Without exception.
It's true and we can see that with Farum Azula but still, Marika in the lore asked Radagon to become her consort so people of the realm must have seen them both at the same time side by side for their union.
Remember how Mohg and Morgott had their astral-whatever projections -- you know, Margit and the Sewer Mohg. They were both born of Marika, so guess who might just know the same trick.
Shes powerful enough to split herself up into two beings. Its that simple. It happened before she even became Elden Queen because Radagon is a veteran of the War Against the Giants. She clearly also, has no control over him since he tried to mend the ring she broke. He married a mage instead of just killing her outright and then left and become the second Elden Lord.
Did someone say loki slept near horses?
How did the Christian cuck god create woman just from dirt and Adam's rib, is he stupid?
Yes - just like OP's question.
How is the Father be the Son and the Holy Spirit at the same time?
They are not the same. The Father created both the Son and the Holy Spirit but indeed they are one in truth in Heaven. But on earth, in the illusion they are separate.
So they are the same?
No, again, God created both the Son and the Holy Spirit and so they cannot change their nature as they have been created in its image. They are one because they share the same characteristics but one created the others.
And it's the reason we can save ourselves, because we cannot change our nature, only our beliefs about ourselves.
God Christian lore is so moronic. People literally worship this bad anime fanfic tier writing.
*tips fedora*
Japan says genderfluid rights
With magic. A thing that universe has but ours doesn't
There's a giant fricking alien slug that magically rules through a drawing.
>man and a women
These don't exist in elden ring, it's body type 1 and 2
When you're a literal god you can be whatever the frick you want, whenever the frick you want.
Very good OP, keep asking questions and you'll finally realise that nothing at all makes any sense.
Radagon probably absorbed Marika into his being i guess. They are mystic beings the logic of biology doesn't apply to them.
But don't try too much to find coherence into this trash garbage abstract fake fictional mysticism, it doesn't deserve it trust me. It's a goyslop video game enjoy it light minded.
The redditors are obsessed with its lore because they are totally ignorant in spirituality and real esoterism. It seems newly interesting, deep and complex to them.
at least go the distance to mention Gnosticism if you're going to be wordy about the game's inspirational roots, anon. i would even correct you to replace 'mysticism' with the correct aforementioned term, you verbose dumbass
nta but platonism makes my dick hard
It's not gnosticism moron, gnosticism is very specific. Mysticism has multiple definitions it can apply to what i'm trying to describe. I can tell you're a midwit who learned about that stuff recently.
Also english is not my first language.
Anyway terminology is not important in spirituality, its complexity goes far beyond words and the best way to cultivate your spirit is by experiencing within, not reading. You should know it.
elden ring is a giant gnostic metaphor in nearly every regard, down to the erdtree being a literal reality computer manned by a celestial entity
they didn't exactly make it subtle. easiest surface proof i can give you is just google image 'gnosticism' and the entire page could easily be mistaken as ER concept art, down to the palette and imagery wholesale
Gnosticism is a specific religious branch who started around the beginning of christianism, and it didn't offered anything new, most of its teachings comes from ancient symbolism and hermetism.
I'm not gonna go explain gnosticism it'd take too much time but it's specific, the ALL, God almighty is the supreme unbounded being who lives within us all (we don't see nothing like that in Elden Ring, Outer Gods are not THE ALL). This is real and taught by most esoteric teachings.
The Demiurge is the Lord of the physical realm, this fake bullshit has been introduced with gnosticism. He created the physical realm and imprisoned us, preventing us from being our true self. The goal of gnosticism is to know the real God within us, reestablishing the contact and ascending to godhood.
Elden Ring has nothing to do with it. It's just made up slop mysticism that borrows mystic beliefs left and right. It's a video game they just wanted to make it look cool and sound coherent and interesting enough for the average midwit fromdrone consumer to wank on.
>He created the physical realm and imprisoned us, preventing us from being our true self. The goal of gnosticism is to know the real God within us, reestablishing the contact and ascending to godhood.
that's the exact sub-premise of elden ring, where mankind is imprisoned to a (failing) reincarnation cycle by 'divine' celestial entities and robbed of self by subliminal conditioning by the erdtree's influence. ranni's entire quest line is built on tearing down the demiurge's subplanted reality temple
maybe you're right that it's just a melting pot of 'mysticism' views and i'm just looking at it from the direction i want to see it from, but that's how it came off to me. it felt extremely on-the-nose with its gnostic meta themes and imagery
Yes it is indeed reminescent of gnosticism but mysticism is more convenient and exact
Mysticism google definition :
>vague or ill-defined religious or spiritual belief, especially as associated with a belief in the occult.
Also rannis quest is not really salvation, if i understand the age of stars correctly, the lands between will still be governed by rules, just more free. Ranni is before all against the golden order and wants to abolish it, it's her primary motive. The frenzy flame ending is more closer to salvation i think, it's a return to an absolute state of existence.
>It's not gnosticism moron, gnosticism is very specific.
great argument
im so sad that a generation of people thinks saying moron is an argument
moron.
>Radagon probably absorbed Marika into his being i guess
other way around
radagon was a normal person first, marika was the god
then later radagon became part of marika
they are the same being. it's gnosticism wank. this is called Syzygy.
not necessarily
the game is intentionally unclear
where'd the elden ring go
it's gnosticism wank like literally every other jrpg-adjacent game that exists
Marika transforms into the likeness of the Elden Lord
Top is when Godfrey was Elden Lord
Bottom is when Radagon was
All things are divine masculine and divine feminine. She just split the masculine aspect of hers from her and gave it free will and consciousness. That was her downfall.
Ganker believes its smarter than the average normalgay yet cannot grasp simplistic, caveman level story elements from a game they also says “has no story.”
Read some mythology you culturally illiterate fricking moron.
There are literally fish in the ocean that can change their sex if they want to. Basically the same thing.
well since it's a video game and not real life I think it can most easily be explained as (in order):
1. It's not real.
2. It's magic.
It is a fricking God, not a person. Marika and Radagon are as more like concepts than they are people. Direct involvement with the greater will is the cause of this.
Radagon proved himself to the greater will and married Marika. Eventually, probably after Marika snapped, the Greater will fused the two beings.
Radagon supports the golden will, Marika intends to test its breaking point. Because Marika and Radagon are one now Radagon can effectively contain her and fend off anyone meaning to finish her off.
