I believe it recently got an update. It's still turbocentrist wank that nerfs literally every country that isn't a democracy. Bonus points for crippling Germany to the point it literally can't produce enough equipment to outfit its army.

Vanilla Germany is ahistorically overpowered in a way no other major is (there's a bunch of minors that have been DLCed into being stupidly OP of course).

The Germans only got as far as they did due to high combat efficiency. The only way to really replicate that in-game is having the player micro their units.
The way to represent high combat efficiency is to do fricking stat buffs, micro rather represents the strategic/tactical decisions the military leadership makes.

AI is way too good at naval invasions in real DH, I don't think there's any kind of range limit either.

Some of the features like money and 1933 start date have been inspired by DH the game
They should really make historical templates and force you to use them
