The retro game market is fricked and it's going to stay fricked for a long time.
I mean did anyone think this wouldn't happen?
They aren't manufacturing this stuff anymore and as more and more of it breaks and more people just keep theirs to themselves the more expensive the few things that are out there get.
Red and Blue play best on a Super Gameboy. They have a color palette in battle. Not sure if yellow's western GBC mode is any different.
It is better. Yellow changes all the colors for every town.
Japanese import GBs are way cheaper. Also...
>playing pokemon on original hardware in 2012 + 12
>no backlight
>no rechargeable batteries
>no save backups
>best quality
I lol'd.
Picrel is ~$200, supports GB/GBC/GBA cartridges natively, and even supports link cable for both gens.
>recommends something twice the price of the OP
nice one champ
>mfw eBay scalpers gouge their retro games prices so high that I thought OP's $100,00 was a misplaced comma not an ESL moment
$100 isn't bad at all for a GBC. Also point still stands that Japanese GBC imports are way cheaper. I just checked the listings and saw like three JPN GBCs for under $40.
>Not modding your console yourself to give it those features
You are weak
just use an emulator wow
you phone can run them better than any gameboy ever could
All you have to do is trawl Craigslist for long enough
>run them better than any gameboy
>by pretending to be a Game Boy inaccurately
No, the colors are better on gameboy because that’s were made for it
bgb does the trick and I think analog pocket has several filters that recreate gbc screen colors
>have to pay more
>have to do more work
>looks worse
I see the light now! Arceus frick my ass!
If you say so
just get an emulator or one of the $60 gameboy looking machines on aliexpress. you'll feel like a fricking tool a month later after realizing you were scammed for something you could've had the same experience for for free.
Love to see the zoomers sad because they weren't born during the best period to be a Pokemon fan
>Laughs in 2 GBCs with functioning Pokemon carts
Ok boomer
First two gens were so much fun with connectivity between themselves and the stadium games. we'll never get another era like it

This is a build it yourself Gameboy Color FPGA device. $70 for the parts but another $10 for the shell custom fit for the device and another $5 for buttons and membranes.
If you do go for the Analog Pocket (which they just announced all preorders have been fulfilled and they are now shipping within 24 hours.) Be aware that sleep mode and save states on the Gen III games can lead to data loss.
>build it yourself bro
>tells you to buy legos
lmao lmao even
>He can't solder
Sucks to be you
If women can do it then anyone can.
Kek, this kit doesn't even look like it even needs soldering. You could just fit the PCB into the shell.
BUT I AM SPECIAL FRICK YOU
Yep. Just watched an overview.
No soldering involved. If anon can't even twist a few screws in he's gonna be on suicide watch when his cartridges internal battery runs dry.
If you don't make this yourself then you are fake and gay but mostly a troony
>Be aware that sleep mode and save states on the Gen III games can lead to data loss.
This can't be real, makes me feel better about using original hardware.
>$100,00 dollars on eBay
No, they go from between $60-$70. They have been $50+ since the pandemic. They are popular for mods. You better get yours while you still can since they are getting gutted for the FOTM youtuber chink mod.
He's probably talking about amazon, they're 100-120ish there.
>using Amazon for literally anything
amazon marketplace is a fricking wasteland of scams, never use amazon for anything that isn't sold directly from amazon themselves.
