I dunno but Prince of Persia is finally back. This new game is incredible but it is about 2x the price it should be. They drop the price to 20-30US and it is GOTY.

As for the gameplay, I don't care much for the millionth generic metroidvania, especially when it uses the name of a series that was known for its creativity since its inception

It's a metroidvania with arguably the best combat, and fun puzzles, so those things make it a lot less generic.
It’s not generic though. I get /misc/gays hate the zoomer haircut but there’s a reason the game is getting rave reviews. It’s actually fricking good. I don’t play Ubislop I don’t play westoidslop. But I played this because boss fights felt like knockoff Souls shit and funnily enough they’re actually really good. Kiana raped my ass on the hardest difficulty.
Not gonna lie I almost shit myself when I went to open a chest in Sunken Harbor after getting through a frickload of blowdart traps and it was a goddamn mimic. I'm ten hours in and didn't realize that was even a possibility.
There are a few more of those mimic chests. They don't spam them at all, so they're very unexpected.
All in all, the sword play is fairly complex when you factor in the dial up directional combos, and the unlockable abilities double jump, dash, grappling hook, teleportation
Main bosses are all great so far (just beat bootleg Vergil). Their only problem is that after the manticore, it takes a long time for the next boss to show up.
Game could've sped things up a little before the pit of sands, it is a bit of a dread to run through the game without skills.

There’s literally a moment in the game where you fight a dude who betrays you and he has the move set of Virgil including final judgement cut. The game is fun as frick.
