Played the demo for five hours to verify that it was indeed shit. It's just discount Bloodborne with dodging heavily nerfed in favour of a crappy parry system. The only thing it has going for it is the puppet designs.

Fricking extremely excited for more of it. After breaking the one of the guards sword that show up before the final boss with the hook shot I was sold.
I liked it, but it clearly copied as much as it could from souls games without thinking about whether they should have or not. Things like having to go back to the hub to level up from the maiden and having crystal lizard equivalents. Even still, the core gameplay was solid.

Of all the bootleg souls games, this felt the most high quality one so far. I don't mind it being a shameless Bloodborne rip, because more games should be ripping Bloodborne tbh.

The only thing high quality about it is the optimisation.
The demo is fine, but it is the most souls cloney souls clone I've played yet. They really just copied everything from FromSoftware's games. And it feels a little weird. Nobody has been able to match From's games in feel yet. They're always a little off. It's nice that the characters aren't hideously ugly though. That's rare these days

Fromdrone here. Victorian setting is indeed better and more refreshing than Medieval Fantasy. The gameplay lacks polish though.

I have to agree. Unfortunately no matter what virtues the full release brings, this game will just be remembered as "Pinocchio but if he Bloodborne".
Was actually fun. Beat the demo in about 4 hours. Some aspects felt like they were trying really hard to ape off From games though.

Demo was fine but it's definitely a 7/10 game. Which is fine because I liked games like the surge and code vein but I can admit those aren't games aren't the greatest and would only recommend them on sale.
This feels like one of those kinds of games.
I've played so many soulslike, and this one was closest to fromsoftware quality.

This is to Bloodborne as the first Lords of the Fallen was to Dark Souls.
It is not nearly as shit as Lords of the Fallen, i got that game for free on games with gold and I still wanted my money back.
I wasn't necessarily talking about the quality, they just prioritized different things in bastardizing the formula so the combat feels like absolute trash in both. Lords is painfully slow, Lies of Piss is somehow floatier than Hellpoint.

I'm surprised by how much of a shameless Bloodborne rip-off it is, even down to the menus, but I'm not complaining.
I liked it a lot. Bloodborne is 8 years old, real Souls is now open world slop, I couldn't care less about it being "unoriginal", bring the copycats.
Total souls ripoff but well made so I'm okay with it. Really enjoyed the demo.

Was gonna play the demo but lost interest after knowing it won't be as good as the FF16 demo and the game will not be as good as any of fromsoft's hits.

I'm all for games with similar styles of gameplay, exploration, and storytelling to From games. However, as others have said this feels like an actual ripoff, like they should be in legal difficulties over how similar this is to Bloodborne.
