Diavolos stand cut's time, but that is not the only way to think about his stand. You could also say that his stand conviniently skips the parts that he doesn't like. Requiem makes everything it's touches zero. So what it does is it makes all diavolos actions result in nothing, meaning that instead of choosing what to skip, he cannot do anything: all of his actions result in what fate chooses. Trying to run from a car? Zero. Car hit's him. What is confusing is if it also undoes all his past actions, and he is experiencing all the deaths he avoided, meaning that he has to face all the shit he skipped, but it seems it's worse than that because it said that he does this forever. So he cannot die and cannot do anything, and get's fricked in the ass because that is his faith. That is what you get for selling drugs to children.
He didn't beat him, Araki just made up a really moronic stand called Golden Experience Requiem whose power is 'if you even attempt to attack the user or even touch them, you are instantly put into an endless death loop where you get killed randomly by shit around you and then reappear somewhere else and get killed by shit around you over and over again'

At least King Crimson makes sense if you just explain it as 'it deletes the cause but keeps the result of the action', allowing you to do things like throw a punch at someone, use king crimson, and the punch lands and they start bleeding from their nose without even knowing that a punch was being thrown.

The entire reason the fight happens is because of Risotto's curiosity, Diavolo would've one shotted him before the fight even began, Risotto was destined to lose from some kind of dirty sneak attack. "Weakened boss is a viable strategy" except that objectively proves King Crimson isn't a beatable stand. Risotto is completely irrelevant as he never faced the stand proper.

Risotto getting lucky (when he only exposes Doppio BECAUSE OF AEROSMITH) doesn't mean the heroes can get that same courtesy. KC objectively isn't beatable in Part 5 without an asspull. No, GER stopped Diavolo from being able to act. Then it punched him to death into the river, and its ability activated to stop him from ever being dead. It's a bullshit victory and a deus ex machina, but the entire finale was built around attempting to invoke that deus ex machina. It's an I win button, yet everybody was fighting over that I win button so I can't really consider it poor writing. And JoJolion's latter half sucked for many more reasons than just Wonder of U's power.
No, GER is just a stupid stand that shouldn't have been put into the series anyway, I can accept Requiems being an 'i win' button, but it was very poorly handled - Ball Breaker and Tusk 4 in Part 7 were far more reasonable and sensible despite going up against what was arguably an even more broken stand. The actual fight is getting the Stand Arrow to Giorno. The moment he got the arrow Diavolo had lost. GER vs KC is just the unfailable victory lap battle after you beat the last boss.
Diavolo is Cause. Giorno is Effect. Both remove their property as per their powers.
So with Diavolo things happen spontaneous and arbitrarily for no fricking reason, leaving only confusion and a defined result.

It's confirmed that Part 6 content was staggered because they had to coordinate with Shueisha and their demands. And JoJolion's latter half sucked for many more reasons than just Wonder of U's power.
No, GER is just a stupid stand that shouldn't have been put into the series anyway, I can accept Requiems being an 'i win' button, but it was very poorly handled - Ball Breaker and Tusk 4 in Part 7 were far more reasonable and sensible despite going up against what was arguably an even more broken stand. I think he got written out because he's got a villain stand. It dominates the dynamic completely and turns it from the villain's fight into Purple Haze's fight. The poison capsules are so strong and so indiscriminate they can only really be used in one way. It'd be the same every time so Araki was right to do it.

Purple Haze is a villain stand, Fugo was supposed to be a traitor. Giorno was going to defeat him because he already made an immunity. The actual reason Fugo was written out is because Araki didn't like the plotline, he thought it was too dark and depressing that their group would be torn apart by in-fighting so he dropped it entirely.

The best thing to come out of JoJo going to Netlix was all the normalgays ditching it en masse because they only cared about the memes, so it being batches instead of weekly releases killed it for them
