Currently trying to get my spark back too, I love vidya, always have, but the past few months I haven't been able to concentrate on any games or really feel a click with them. I think it really depends on what you're doing outside of gaming, I've started going to the gym and started therapy, I'm hoping to get a job eventually too. I think you need to feel like gaming is a reward for being productive in other parts of your life, otherwise it feels lazy and not earned. That's my two cents anyway.

      >By playing it yourself instead of watching a YouTuber praise it and/or a twitch streamer play it, then you like a cuck trying to replicate it.
      >Stop looking up videos and guides online
      >Stop participating in gaming communities
      >start something wild and new that you have no idea wtf it is

Right now i just started classic wow with none of that leveling and Add-on bullshit and I’m having a good time

I'm a regular at the gym and have a job. On weekends or after I come home. I just sit on Ganker or watch youtube videos. I even bought a few games during steam sale, downloaded them, but barely have the desire to play them

This is the point in time when you should realize games no longer have the same quality behind them and are now entirely profit driven piles of consumerist trash designed for mass appeal to drive sales.
Corporations aren’t your friend they just want your money

yet you're still posting on Ganker

You can try not playing video games for a couple of weeks or more to reset your brain. You can get burnt out on stuff, including vidya. This made me really enjoy playing games again when I started playing again. Just watch a lot of movies/TV shows/YouTube videos until you think enough time has passed and then go back to playing a good game.

Not really burnt out as I've barely played anything for the past year

Oh my god stop watching YouTube
Arcade machines were made to swallow your coins and those were 2nd generation of gaming.

Start Animating for weeks. Make it shitty. Looking at those game desktop icons will look so good.

    >Get burnt out finishing 30+ turn based tactics game
    >Thinking about playing through MGS 5 again even though I spent like 50 hours on it
Should I just take a break from video games?

Play a game you actually want to play. Your situation right now is probably like people who turn on the TV and just watch what's on even if they don't necessarily want to watch it.

    >quit vidya for a month or two
    >stop playing that one multiplayer game that you go back to everyday
    >open your mind to games that are 4/10 - 6/10
Playing bad vidya has enriched the good vidya in my life tremendously.
    >Finish your damn games
Are you having fun? No? Play it anyways. You'll end up having fun in retrospect even if you don't enjoy yourself in the present moment.
    >Pic related, its a piece of shit
    >I hated every moment of it and I'll never forget any of it
    >Occupy your time with other shit instead of vidya.
I consoom books/movies/anime/cartoons/physical activity/outside time/learning various topics and cycling from one thing to the other always makes each activity enjoyable.
    >Be healthy, get 7+ hours of sleep consistently
Having physical energy and a fully charged brain has changed how I perceive vidya and everything in life really
    >Go back to vidya after a month
    >Holy shit things are intense again and there's a ton of interesting things everywhere
    It's up to you.

    >play games that meet those criteria
    >find friends to play/talk about games with
    >live a balanced life within which vidya and life duties can coexist harmoniously
