get duckstation
get AC1 rom
play it
simple as
if you don't like ok, if you like it great. the series is quite niche anyway so don't expect it to be too generic but it's probably in terms of customizable robots and blow things up with them. front mission would be the other but it's a tactical rpg, which is up my alley. so don't expect a souls game, dude. PLEASE DONT COMPARE IT TO SOULS. fricking late millennials/zoomers
>disk
play the demo disk pleb
that was me as a kid playing that over and over plus the VS with a buddy, i was too young to work and i hated asking for games during the year from my dad. although the year before he bought me Tomb Raider for having good grades, asking why she has balloons under her shirt on the cover...
Hey how come I haven't seen people relook at the last AC6 gamplay trailer after the demo showcase? Are people that reactionary? I keep hearing about unbreakable lock on, but if that was the case why was this scene like this?
?t=137 >Staring right in the face of the enemy >Quickboost to the left >Did not keep tracking after the enemy went past >Had to do another quickboost shortly after a clear pause to target back on
I don't get it
It might depend on your FCS. Imagine if the endgame ones have unbreakable lock on and they just used it for the last trailer so soulsgays wouldn't get scared. Of course, maybe it just breaks in certain circumstances but is otherwise very hard to break like their recent Souls style lock on.
I played the first one on duckstation emulator so I could use my Xbox one controller, it played pretty well, you'll probably want to rebind the controls for the first one though since it has some pretty janky tank controls
Only savescum if you think that'll be better for your experience. I wish I didn't in hindsight because I didn't know how tailored that was for the first AC game, but I don't blame people who want to anyway.
You could go either way. The game gives you a way to basically reset your money to 0 if you accrue too much debt. It's a short game anyways. Just play how you want
If you hit negative 50k, the game will give you human plus parts which are extremely game breaking, and your debt gets reset. That's the only way to get those effects. But the games are still easy enough that you don't need to ever use that.
It's hard to go back to other leg parts after using hover legs, they're so much faster and responsive.
Only downside is they can't use heavier weapons without being overweight but it's a worthwhile trade off.
yeah its on the discord. I played the unity one a while back and it was fun. Only CTF was on.
Does it have bot support of any kind?
I know it's not a singleplayer game, but I don't wanna get obliterated by dudes who has been playing it for years.
Well shit, I'll still give it a go.
I completely missed it when it existed and always regretted that.
At least I'll look at cool mechs and frick around.
I just got done playing the first one today, it's pretty good but the controls felt too weird so I just played through on keyboard instead of my controller.
There are some annoying ass missions, but if you design your entire AC for those specific missions it isn't as bad.
Also whenever you buy something, you can resell it at full price. You can just experiment without really having to lose any money in the process. It's also cool to see your AC evolve over time as you mess around with different parts.
Tomorrow I'm starting AC2, and so far it looks more enjoyable since it looks a lot smoother to play.
You start with the first one and play them in order. All you need to know is to always remap the controls so your face buttons are for the camera and your other actions are on the triggers
Play the first three. If you don't have time then just play 3 to get the old school AC feel before consoles got better and the games started getting faster. Play 4A and then wait for 6.
If you never played any ac game before just play 4 and for answers and stop there, use xenia for best 60fps experience you can even use keyboard mouse controls if you know how
By playing the games.
>put disk in console
>turn on TV
>play it
How moronic are y… well you are a snoy, never mind.

why the frick do people constantly misuse this word?
I played the first one on duckstation emulator so I could use my Xbox one controller, it played pretty well, you'll probably want to rebind the controls for the first one though since it has some pretty janky tank controls
Should I savescum in 1 after failing a mission or is it part of the experience to live through your failures?
Only savescum if you think that'll be better for your experience. I wish I didn't in hindsight because I didn't know how tailored that was for the first AC game, but I don't blame people who want to anyway.

play master of arena
By pre-ordering Armored Core 6 and waiting for release.
Press Start
play the games offline. not as bad once you understand how the controls work and customization
start with the best one
heres a tip: use hover legs for mobility and machine gun arms for high damage. grind the arena for quick cash
It's hard to go back to other leg parts after using hover legs, they're so much faster and responsive.
Only downside is they can't use heavier weapons without being overweight but it's a worthwhile trade off.
You open the hatch and climb in, assuming it’s not some Star Fox tier horror where they build the mech around you and you’re stuck in it forever
Just play Exteel, it's free and it's better than Armored Snore, they just released a new update too!
while i appreciate the nostalgia, theres no single player and the meta is: high speed + abuse melee skills upclose.
There is private server?

no bot support. the new version might. I see theres new levels now so thats good

I hope the devs can return it to its former glory 20 years ago
1>Project Phantasma>Master of Arena

Tomorrow I'm starting AC2, and so far it looks more enjoyable since it looks a lot smoother to play.
I'm starting with Armored Core Nexus, since that's the first with usable controls. Running it on PCSX2. It's okay so far
if you overheat get a good radiator and tune some stuff to cooling
You start with the first one and play them in order. All you need to know is to always remap the controls so your face buttons are for the camera and your other actions are on the triggers

The default control scheme is kind of shit.
No joke, I always re-map my movement to the L and R buttons/triggers <.<
Watch a video series where some guy played it for you and then play the newest one because it'll just be dark souls but robots
Wait for the newest game to be released?
No reason to play the old janky games.
If you never played any ac game before just play 4 and for answers and stop there, use xenia for best 60fps experience you can even use keyboard mouse controls if you know how
stay out unless you're a white male
equip quad legs
equip biggest energy shoulder guns
enjoy your easy run through of AC1
yeah they feel smoother on the ground. like the hovers from ac3
Just be your self <3
Wait for 6 because now FromSoftware can make good games
Honestly just wait for Armored Core 6.
