How do I kill her? Irenicus was a lot easier and her summoning monsters isn't helping. I'm playing vanilla btw.

The trick is to reduce her HP to zero.
Yeah but I think she heals herself in every phase
What seems to be the issue?
In any case : Cast every protection possible and your best summons before the fight. Strip her of her protection against magical weapons and stoneskin (if she even has these, I honestly don't remember), then hack at her with greater whirlwind. It's that easy. If memory serves, she has no special gimmick going on, it's a pretty straightforward fight. Just don't use time stop as she's immune to it. Her summons can be ignored, she should be dead in a matter of seconds.
She has 6 health bars and can cast time stop and kill one member in one round.
Without wish and save scum its tedious.
>6
Four, is it not?
Right. Four. Ptsd kicked in.
Playing a sorc on hard with shit spell selection. Paused the playthrough, as tob gets tidious. I did all quests I can think of, somehow I'm critically underleveled for the blue dragon.
I think Wish or maybe even Limited Wish allowed you to get fully rested and thus restock your spell slots, very handy
I had a big stock of wishes to get my spells back every phase. I've only beat BG2 once so she was a pain in the dick, Korgan mauling her helped.
Why does she look like native americans? lol
because you think feathers on head=injun, racist
It's fricking Amelyssan you absolute morons.
Motherfricker you have 6 party members, all the spell scrolls and potions you've saved throughout the game, an ungodly amount of loot, and unlimited prep time. Plus you've been trained on all the bhaalspawn before then. If by this point in the game you don't know the mechanics well enough to win the fight then for frick's sake take 20 minutes to sit down and read the spellbooks and item descriptions.
You are completely right. I stopped bc I have a million of consumables to use. I really did use items here and there in the playthrough.
I didn't use the res rods though, as they are ridiculously op.
When I played bg3 I thought it has too many items, but bg2 is also loaded with scrolls and potions, although the lv 9 ones are somewhat rare.
I have a million items that I need to sort*
Topkek, how didn't they recognise her?
Never saw that art before
I've seen it before, I'm just not sure who it's supposed to be, or who OP thinks it is.
Which version fo the game? You can spam planetars in the original and skull traps should always work.
what is the correct way to play this game now? EE?
Hell, no ee
Classic.
Play EE. Don't listen to pretentious trannies. The game is the same but with more mods, more stable, better QoL options and everything that the EE adds can be skipped or even modded if you don't want it in the game
>game is the same
No it isn't there are balance changes. The terrible graphical changes, the UI,etc.
> everything that the EE adds can be skipped or even modded if you don't want it in the game
Or you could just mod the original.
>with more mods,
No
I don't really mind the EE's, ignore the companions and such, but not a big fan of the visuals change.
>better QoL options
Almost all of the EE QoL stuff is available in BG2 Improved UI mod.
>Don't listen to pretentious trannies.
I thought that Beamdog doesn't allow their shills to use no-no words on the internet.
Getting old games to run right is becoming harder and harder with each passing year. Even the ones that aren't running into OS issues will have problems with modern hardware. Baldur's Gate 2 in particular will start chugging every few seconds if you have a party with an inventory that has a lot of bags and cases because it checks every item in case it does something.
The switch to multicore processors and 64-bit OS has made remasters of old games a necessity. It's that or you shell out for high-end single-core processors, and those are in very, very low demand.
Fake news.
Lol. There are modders who do that for free, there is GoG which makes sure that the games they peddle are working on new rigs, and you can also dust off your old laptop if your PC is too stronk to run BG2.
Beamdog is a company of frauds high on their own farts. They see no wrong in inserting their shitty OC DONUT STEEL because "adding content is not changing content." They even believed that WotC would allow them to make BG3, luckily but not surprisingly SoD shit and hated by everyone, so the right to make BG3 went to Sven.
If Beamdog went under, nothing of value would be lost. On the contrary, I would say it would improve the market and show that such incompetence won't be tolerated.
ignore the spergs and chuds.
ee is the definitive way to play this today, especially with mods.
2 is EE, but I can't stand playing 1 EE without the tweaks mod to fix the weapon proficiency stuff back to how it was in the original, along with several other mods of course.
How did the weapon proficiencies originally work?
https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon_Proficiency
basically they were lumped together, which made low-level characters more versatile. You then got to re-allocate them when importing, a feature I have to recreate with EEkeeper unfortunately.
BG1EE literally has to put in a warning because there aren't any good katanas in BG1. No idea why they didn't just add some katanas in random locations like they did with other weapon types.
Essentially, the game wasn't designed with BG2's systems in mind. I don't really like using BG2 spells in BG1 either for the same reason.
IWDEE has the same problem.
>IWDEE has the same problem
I'd say it's even worse because of the random loot
Played three mage multiclass in my party,, you tell me
On a replay I have no qualms about using Shadowkeeper to relocate prificiencies to my char and the companions (within the rules, no extra pips) since I hate goid weapons going to waste because none in the party can make good use of them.
I liked the way proficencies were in 1, I guess they wanted to rebalance the game in 2 with splitting them up.
Any mods you like or recommend for 2? Original or EE.
Huh? She's piss easy compared to all other bullshit ToB throws at you. Maybe its because I played a full tard-mode fighter that just hit things very hard, but the fight for me was:
>1) Drink every single potion before entering the room and cast greater haste on my melees
>2) Open the fight with my mages casting every type of dispell at her (I never bothered to learn ADnD spells, all I know is that Breech, Secret Word and that other one (remove magic? dispell?) do the job every so often
>3) Bum rush her with lighting-fast barrage of melee attacks via whirlwind, haste and other shit I stacked on my MC
>4) Repeat each stage
Unironically, just didn't bother and used the console to win this fight and watch the ending. I was already bored enough of how shitty ToB was as an expansion to add more frustration to the list. If I ever replay BG2 again, I'm just doing SoA and maybe some mods for more content and Imoen romance
Same, finished SoA and couldn't stomach ToB
Real talk, I switched to easy. Hard fight OP.
I've been playing the owlkek games and they're filled with fights every screen with the same type of enemies, which makes the game drag on forever.
Remind me: is it the same on baldur's gate? I don't remember.
I think icewind dale was like that as well.
>is it the same on baldur's gate? I don't remember.
No. Balance and encounter design is better.
Bg has actual boss fights.
Yes, the IE games were all full of trash mobs.
Vanilla bg2 gets like that at some points, but never as bad as pathfinder.
I probably had the most fun with this Assassin to Fighter Dual class. Also, a constant boner in 2 thanks to the second female voice.
Here's something absolutely broken.
>Chain Contigency
>Condition: Helpless
>Improved invisibility, Watcher's Eye, Project Image
>before casting Project Image, use Spell immunity: Abjuration and Divination
>Two End-game level caster duplicates of you with staff of the magi are now running around
Git gud
Just click all the spells on her man I don't remember what I did I have no fricking idea
ToB is worth playing exactly once just for wrapping up the story but it’s pretty shit overall and has approximately zero replay value.
What’s up with that image, where’d it come from? Wasn’t she only added in ToB? I recognize that art of her but not the overall image. Why’s it say SoA on it
The ONLY replay value is seeing the end slide for different romances.
