Genuinely fun core and world despite the awful graphics and terrible performance
SwSh was supposed to be the graphics focused title but it was so boring. You can't tell me in any amount of good faith that letting Leon go handle the actual plot of the game with random dynamax mons popping up and not letting the player help in any capacity was a good idea. It's not like they would've had trouble implementing it anyway because the after credits plot you go handle some at gyms anyway??? Genuinely baffles me how stupid the plot is.
What is baffling is how dumb your complaint is. The only two times Leon does "something for you" is when he fights a singular dynamax Perrserker (you had already fought multiple dynamax monsters by that point in the game) and when he goes ask Oleana what the explosion in the factory was (she just lies to him anyway, which means all Leon did was... keep you from watching a cutscene?). You are complaining that he stole from you the chance to... do completely basic things you already did in the game various times by that point?
nta but having a dynamaxed pokemon randomly appear on the route instead of being relegated to a raid or gym is a pretty major plot development that would make sense to include the player in
"show, don't tell" is one of the most basic rules of writing, and having one of the few things that's actually deviating from the boring bogstandard "do the gym fight team yell" plot be completely brushed aside and handled by someone else completely offscreen is absolutely shitty writing
the absolute least they could have done was actually show leon battling the pokemon instead of just showing a photo of it and a bunch of npc reactions
It really wouldn't. Again, by that point you already fought various Dynamaxed monsters, there is no sense of urgency taken from that happening, other than the fact that it is weird that it happened. If anything the problem is that Gamefreak was too cheap to actualy animate that cutscene.
I'd definitely argue that a "safe" area in the world getting threatened by a dynamax pokemon has much more urgency than it simply occurring in another gym that's specifically built to have dynamax pokemon
It wouldn't because this is Pokemon, meaning that the giant monster would never hurt anyone, and would destroy no property, and ultimately would just be a big Perrserker 3D model standing in a normal field. At that point you're playing 'how underwhelming will this fight be?' olympics.
Do you really forgot the time when Dynamax pokémon were running rampant in the city and Leon went to deal with it while you were told to not bother? It was very obviously the most exciting moment in the game besides the climax and you are not even allowed to see it, they just tell you to leave and keep with your ordinary daily life.
>How does new Pokemon game released at a point where the Switch has 100+ million units spread worldwide outsell the game that came out when there were less than 30 million worldwide?!
So you genuinely like the Twitter face emoji/pixar wet clay style?
Maybe I don't like new things... but after having a base style with minor variation for more than a decade (the games, not the anime), it's, well, no sir. I don't like it.
The point is SV are style is nowhere near as that shitposter pretends it is.
It is yet again just anime all over again and yet you people are freaked out or trying to make a fuss out of nothing.
>GRAPHICSGRAPHICSGRAPHICSGRAPHICS
SwSh mindbroke half of you, nobody gave one iota of a frick about graphics before then, it's the gameplay that people really care about. And unlike SwSh, SV at least gets that part spot on, so people are more willing to forgive it's shortcomings
How is this game any better besides the story? Theres glitches all over the place and the flying and surf animations feel clunky as hell. And the PC looks like a fricking 8 year old
They dared to be different from all the past mainline games
Normies saw the trailers of the dog bike being summoned and taking you everywhere freely, and Nintendo made sure to promote the fact that it was open world and you could do gyms or other things in any order you want.
This was SS's problem, and why it was immediately overtaken like this.
It's my fault, I didn't buy SS, but I did buy SV.
I'm very unoriginal and boring, which typically means if I choose to do something, it means millions of other people probably did too.
You bought it anyway.
That’s a terrible argument

>already have a starter, npcs can catch the rest
>already been in a battle npcs can do the rest.
You are dumb.
>Dude! Leon steals the game! He does everything we're supposed to do, like.... talking to someone else and beating a single Dynamaxed monster.

Because graphics literally do not matter unless it's actively hideous.
It's a style. I personally like the style of the older games better, but it looks fine.
post the source
it didn't

SV looks way better than swshit and even better PLA tbh
Anyone who denies it are just doomgays/shitposters
So you genuinely like the Twitter face emoji/pixar wet clay style?

>Slightly different anime art style than that I used to = le bad
Nah man, you just proves my point about all deniers being shitposterss
>Doesn't like new style direction
>le bad
>shitposter
Anon.

I hope these games beat SWSH
SWSHit doesn't deserve 25 million sales
How is this game any better besides the story? Theres glitches all over the place and the flying and surf animations feel clunky as hell. And the PC looks like a fricking 8 year old
>And the PC looks like a fricking 8 year old
Pretty sure that one's intentional.
because the cattle love the name, not the product
Because gen 8 looked even worse.
SEX
Yeah because SW were the definition of next-gen graphics
open world gays are mental
the think the game is automatically passable because it does a shitty job of letting you do gyms out of order
It looked fine on ryujinx upscaled to 4k.

Because open world trumps muh graphics
and Scarlet Violet look better than Swshit ever did
by being better than SwShit, not a high bar to jump.
It's my fault, I didn't buy SS, but I did buy SV.
I'm very unoriginal and boring, which typically means if I choose to do something, it means millions of other people probably did too.
There is nothing wrong with being an unoriginal person
Thanks Anon, it means a lot.
Looks good on my emulator
