              Anonymous

              >how often
Often enough to feel compelled to buy another drive and manage """sata(lol) cables""" whenever you want to play it, plus all the inconvenience that using two unsynced (you wouldn't want your information leaking would you) OSs brings. Such as being only able to log in into places you don't mind being shared to le ebil boogey chinaman personally snooping into your files, having to set up everything back again and the myriad of other small annoyances just to play a fricking copy of csgo or whatever.

I don't know this might just be my opinion but if I didn't play a game that often and would need to do all that shit just to feel some peace of mind I would rather not play it at all. I might be the crazy one thoughever.

Imagine being so desperate to focus on how I phrase the matter and deliberately ignoring the actual point. I say possibility because they're thousands of hundred of books written that never get to the mainstream eye or even never get published. So unless I have read them all and have proof that what you just did was made before, it will stay just as a high possibility.
That's just speaking about ideas. Because to that is where you deviated the conversation about.
If we speak about similarities, then yes, no matter what you "create" there will always be people who point out to you other works that are similar to what you just did. Even if not exactly the same (which is what happens in the images I first quoted)

Not him, but there's a big difference between 200 companies having 1 piece of information about you each, and 1 company having 200 pieces of information about you, night and day when it comes to tracking and profiling. Just because you can't prevent all harvest doesn't mean you should Livestream your masturbation sessions in Facebook or that you can't reduce your footprint

I agree with you, but read the first thing I said in that post. Do you really think someone that stubbornly refuses to drop a game "he doesn't even play that often" is going to commit himself to diversify the services he uses?
I could bet on the fact that he probably uses windows, google search, youtube and a single gmail account for everything he does.
He's the classic case of Ganker induced paranoia that happens when someone technologically literate encounters a schizophrenic image macro saying that the FBI has your anus' fingerprint through your phone's camera then metaphorically puts the cart before horse when it comes to digital security.

I don't think there are enough cheaters to warrant this. I have 20k+ games in LoL in total and the most I come across sometimes are script kiddies but it's so apparent that the moment you realize they become extremely predictable and easier to play against (because obviously a computer is more predictable than a human)
I can't think of other ways to cheat except scripts and maphacks but even maphack doesn't give you that much advantage to make it worth the risk

I was thinking the same until I made a new account on NA last month when I was visiting my family and wanted to play some quick games without having EUW ping, and boy oh boy, every single game had either a bot on my side, on their side or both. Without fail.
It was like being on a different game entirely and now I see why they became so desperate to push this kernel intruding program into their biggest cash cow, knowing full well they're gonna lose some players and money in the process.

Let's not forget that the game just irrevocably dies if the developers lose interest in maintaining it and there is usually a publisher sending C&Ds to every attempt to get unofficial servers up because people might pirate their dead game when there is a strictly worse successor game already. You might get even more unlucky and the revival project is run by moralgays who don't want you to pirate literal abandonware.

Multiplayer and especially competitive multiplayer have ruined gaming. It's caused the and creation use invasive anticheat that makes the sony rootkit fiasco a joke and people suck that right up their ass so hard that devs even shove it into their singleplayer for zero fricking reason. Can't even have fun cheats to unlock anymore because muh cheevos and muh multiplayer and now we even get "live service" and "microtransactions" that are accepted when everyone shit all over the horse armor dlc.
