If you remove the Disney shit then it just becomes Final Fantasy.
>If you remove the Disney characters from a Disney and Final Fantasy crossover then it's just Final Fantasy
No shit Sherlock
kingdom hearts was only marketed as a disney x final fantasy crossover for morons. it has its own original characters.
>If we remove the main identity of this franchise, it’ll be better
I never understood this meme. It’s like trying to improve Marvel by removing superpowers. It’s not like the OC stuff in KH is compelling in the first place.
> It’s not like the OC stuff in KH is compelling in the first place.
that's what people play it for.
But with good combat
Not really. Even by FF standards the characters and stories in these KH games are pretty shallow and so badly written it barely make any sense at all. The presence of Disney content in these games is vital.
And that's bad how?
Go back in time and prevent every mobile game from being developed
Can you imagine if KH3 had been released 3-4 years after KH2, without CoM & all mobile shit inbetween
Yeah, it would've given the PS3 a good game.
CoM was between 1 and 2. You mean BBS and DDD.
There is a universe where the Fabula games come out on time in working order. In this universe KH3 comes out around the ps4 launch and remake comes out a year or 2 earlier. I want to live in this universe.
Anyway, the way to fix KH going forward is to just keep it focused on Sora and MOM. Every supporting characters motivation should also be centered on one of these two . Also leave the days/BBS characters behind they’ve served their purpose.
Adding Star Wars
I have never played Kingdom Hearts but it always seemed to me as if it's perfect for what it is.
>Imagine the story of Jack and Jill
>But in the sequel you find out a time traveling man pushed Jack and kidnapped Jill
>And in the next sequel Jack lost his memory and Jill needs to fight the time traveling man to restore it
>But the man is actually Jack from the future
>And Jill is actually a female clone of Jack
>And Jack never actually fell down in the original story, he teleported to a new timeline
That’s KH in a nutshell.
you haven't played these games have you
Are you one of those fanboys who will preach to me that the story of KH is actually duper simple if I play every game in chronological order, watch all the cutscenes twice, read all the supplementary material, draw a diagram, and take notes?
Yeah I used to be like you
No I mean you literally did not describe any of the plot points even 1% correctly.
The fact that you didn't answered my question just confirms my suspicion.
I obviously wasn’t trying to describe the plot moron. I was trying to communicate the the shitty storytelling style of this series to someone who hasn’t played the games
Make Sora's feet bigger.
Kairi's and Namine's*
It’s way too late. KH3 should have came out in 2007, not 2019
thats why there is a mobile game and a numbered entry coming
True, but its time of relevance has long past
its popular enough that it will make money. people don't start caring until it gets close to release or whenever news comes up
Increase the gravity a bit and separate ground and aerial combos again.
Make the story simpler. Make KH4 a soft reset, let the irrelevant OCs take a backseat for a while (they could show up in a spin-off or something).
Bring back KH1's MP system but increase the cost of Cure.
Make companions a bit stronger.
Add actual combos instead of just mashing X.
Bring back the coliseum (doesn't have to be Olympus).
Have more original worlds like Hollow Bastion.
Have some 2D animated worlds.
Actually finish the game.
Have Sora and Riku kiss on the lips while Kairi is forced to watch from another dimension.
>Add actual combos instead of just mashing X.
the game was never about mashing x. kh2 gives you a ton of moves and you should be understanding how they work, like unequipping certain abilities for different situations or your playstyle. sora has an attack that is automatically activated if he is surrounded by enemies. if you just mash X after that you're being dumb, whereas you can hit X, pause a second, and do it again. its shit like this that gives KH its depth in combat and makes it better than other action rpgs.
The issue with kingdom hearts is that they want to keep adding new Disney IP, but they ran out of all good Disney movies so the shit is fricked, there's also a billion confusing plot points all caused by the fact that there's like 5 different spinoff with moronic names that all ties together
I think unironically a reboot would fix it, and maybe be more wacky with the use of Disney stuff like Lorcana is doing
There's plenty of good Disney movies they haven't used yet, they just aren't particularly popular nowadays and aren't ones that Disney wants to promote.
They need to get Disney to allow them to let the Disney characters cross-over. It would make so much money and bring freshness back to the series.
Thing is. Disney sees KH has a way to shill their shit, they do not give a single frick about the OCs other than the fact they're under their thumb. Which is extra tricky for KH4 considering they're now in a flop era, and now relying heavily on sequels to pull them through, and trying to revive the dying corpse of the MCU.
At most you can take solice they're likely goint to let Nomura use the OT for SW considering how iconic it is.
I would do a full reboot. Start from scratch with new characters, but keep concepts like Keyblade, Heartless, and some other lore. KH should have been like FF with every game being a whole new gang of characters. There is nothing left to explore Sora as a character. Getting rid of the continuity baggage solves the plot issues.
Just give it to Epic
Reboot into a new continuity with new KH native characters. Stick with the vibe of the original game: anime kid teaming up with Disney and Final Fantasy characters to fight the Darkness. Dont be moronic and try to expand beyond that concept.
Forget about it
Verum Rex (the revival of Final Fantasy Versus XIII)
Why wont he just let this shitty vision go already?
Release it on Steam.
Better justify why we're going to worlds. 3 was horrible with that. I'd say to add more OC character interactions throughout the game, but considering we're in Unreality now, who knows. Have a coliseum.
You dont it's awful and that's what makes it fun.
KEK. You can´t. Disney new productions are shit, Pixar new productions are shit, new FF games are shit and KH is the combination of all that so it can be nothing but shit.
Start using the TV shows, but like the good ones and not the shit ones.
Nomura has said he doesn't want to use TV worlds, because in his view they aren't as "imprtant" as the movies or as timeless
Nomura is a self important homosexual that thought people cared more about his shitty OCs than beloved characters like squall and cloud.
I think this next arc or whatever should ease up on the Disney stuff. Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Pluto and Hades should be the minimum while a bunch of FF characters show themselves along with some new OCs.
not possible. like marvel vs capcom. you could start over (capcom vs capcom, final fantasy + original characters for whatever kingdom hearts side series would be) but that's about it
Nothing, its pure kino
