SC isn't limb based and SC6 had better balance than Tekken 7 even with only a fraction of the budget.
Why does Tekken succeed, but SC fails?
The real reason is that Tekken is just easier to pick up and play. I can't really tell why, but every time I have friends that don't play fighting games over, they end up enjoying Tekken more. I guess button mashing in Tekken just results in more impressive looking shit happening on the screen compared to any other fighting game.
SC doesn't fail. Each game sell around the same amount. Problem is that people think SC should sell as many copies as Tekken. Tekken 3 probably sold more than the whole SC franchise in total, these two franchises aren't comparable.
The irony is that despite the fact 8 wayrun makes movement in SC easier, its the harder game because its not exclusively built around whiff punishing and CH baiting.
Add more characters to the roster in sc7. Include a third person assasins creed like mode with taki or other waifus that can fulfill a similar role. Also market the game more but i dont know if u want that because a bigger audience will being more sjws, so its better to keep it smaller.
We can't. Bamco are utterly determined to see it crash and burn every single time. Despite everything they did it only painfully needed a single thing at this point, good netcode, and they'll never deliver.
You can't save it but we'll get another one in sure 6 was a success by today's standards. I play mostly single player or against my parents or friends.
Just make another one. SC6 sold way above expectations and still has a pretty decent scene in certain areas. Hopefully Bamco doesn't forget it exists while they're sucking themselves off with Tekken 8
Soulcalibur saved itself. 6 was a great success that got multiple seasons of support and even had a world tournament planned that was only cancelled because of global corona lockdowns. No reason not to expect another one after such a great return to form, and it was just as fun to play as 2 to boot.
remaster soul calibur 2 it's the only good one
I'd rather a remaster of 3 with all the arcade content and balance patches. The Chronicles of the Sword mode in III is a full blown RPG, it's great.
that mode was cool but the final boss have all unblockable attacks was bullshit
>muh CaS
try actually playing it so people can get matches instead of posting about it
SEX WITH CASS
Why've you removed her pantyhose, uncultured swine.
remove cas so all the single player gays frick off and the devs can focus on actual content

tasty steve
It's harder to balance characters with weapons in a limb based game.

hotter girls, especially girls like amy
hotter costumes
quality cosmetics rather than quantity
netcode
crossplay
surpass tekken 8 graphics
sc6 did well, tekken is the bigger budget more popular IP

tekken looks generic and boring, which is more popular with the unwashed masses.
they keep adding extra systems to SC for no reason, with Tekken you can jump in and play no questions asked

2v2 tag team fights
more revealing ivy with a slight increase in bust and ass
and bring back Necrid
>2v2 tag team fights
Make it Soul Calibur vs Samurai Shodown and we'd have a winner.

can’t save what’s already dead
Bring back 2P costumes
Bring back Sophitia's costume from SC4.
Yes please. It was perfect.
no natsu though

Soul what?
You can’t it’s dead. And this isn’t even the fan bases fault. Bandai knows Kekken is the money maker and sweaty Koreans aren’t gonna switch games.
