Frick off with this DLC infested israelitery. I won't be surprised if you only be able to play one nation and only build one type of unit in the base game, and pay to unlock everything else. Worse than Paradox games, at least those you can unlock with CreamAPI.
Warcraft 3 is garbage. The only strategy in it is microing your units. It pales in comparison to AoE2 where you have to manage/balance 4 resources, optimize gathering, transitioning from hunting to farming, manage building placement and the strenghts and weaknesses of your units and civ.
Strategy game genre is perhaps not the biggest but is very much alive. NOW RTS isn't very kicking in the traditional sense. That paradigm just isn't a thing now.
Or do you percieve it to be of lower quality instead of just not as popular?
Anyone got any recommendations for a good WW2 one? Thinking about trying pic related but don’t wanna spend the time learning a games systems only to find out it’s shit down the road.
Black person tell me how big the warcraft 3 competitive scene was compared to any custom game.
Giving the players an editor is the best thing any strategy game can do to increase the longevity of the game.
I'd like a single-player focused RTS with thought-through campaign, many cutscenes, developed characters and such that would allow me to feel like a genius commander singlehandedly turning the tide of the war without actually being that good in a competetive play, but that's less saving the genre and more me being sad that there's little catering to my tastes. I hear there are several pretty alive multiplayer RTS out there, even if the genre is not exactly booming.
>Wops this time because they don't want to be tagged as rayciss for making Nips the enemy

Every unit is a girl with big breasts or a e-girl
as long as Warcraft 3 ladder is dead then RTS is dead
Warcraft 3 champions is pretty active.

Make it turn based.
I don't have a large enough vocabulary to properly articulate how much I abhor this suggestion
>dude, just learn to press the left mouse button 10 times a second, and you... MAY become competetive
no thanks
>p-please make the game easier so i can actually play it
Also, only gays care about being "competitive"

does it need saving? seems to be a niche genre that appeals to a specific crowd and still gets games occasionally

stop pandering to korean pros
Stop making them asiatic clickers
make it not feel like a job to play
What do you mean?
Look up A Year of Rain to see how NOT to do it.
Make it more about building a comfy base and steamrolling the enemy then about eSports. Also big fat campaign.
Make zoomers less dumb and less ADHD.
You can make a perfect RTS game, but nobody will play it because it will be too complicated and time consuming for the majority of modern gamers.
Just make more xcom clones
>more singleplayer content
>complex scenario editors
>no compgay/esports pandering
ladders are ok, but should not be priority
>no compgay/esports pandering
Good way to make your game dead a month after release
Yeah, total war is definitely dead a month after release (because CA releases crumbs and spends years fixing).
Black person tell me how big the warcraft 3 competitive scene was compared to any custom game.

ban koreans from playing them
Stop the multiplayer shilling and focus on tight single player experiences. They are billions for example was a recent breakout hit.
make it more like this
Lowpoly textureless flatshaded shit? No thanks.
You can't sorry because once white people die off there will be no-one left to play it. Other races can't into strategy.
Obvious bait but I'm biting anyways. Have you heard of Korea and their favorite sport StarCraft?
How about less AoE and SC and more C&C?
Age of Empires 2 Remaster is doing great
If by strategy you mean grand strategy, Victoria 3's coming out soon so thats cool
NTFs
Make it VR, its perfect for it
This. Some might assume this is a joke, but the bird's view works surprisingly well with strategy games.
>99.999999% of RTS games use bird's view
>works surprisingly well with strategy games
You don't say.
VR bird's view, smartass
Make more of them
What are some games like Rexxar's campaign in the frozen throne? It's like RTS RPG, lots of fun!
