How do we stop the RGB / glass side panel trend?
There are barely any new cases with solid side panels

If theres more than 0, there is enough.
Saw a guy with an Alienware laptop that had a rainbow light up back that could be seen from across the terminal. Chad as frick.
i wish i had that case
>Darth Vader, the case
I built a computer last year for the first time in about 10 years and went crazy for the RGB stuff just for fun.
I actually have the RGB version and it's nice though I do miss having a CD-Rom drive.
Built my first PC with the non-glass side panel version. It's such a good case despite the $200 price tag. I like patting the top of the case because of the matte material.
I got the white fullsize with a glass side - beautiful case, easy to work with, practically a silent wind tunnel, fully recommend
The gpu bracket it comes with is a little shitty though.
Got a good case with glass side for dirt cheap on sale.
Build pc and glass side gets put away for ever.
>300+ canadian case on all options even the nano
pass ill keep my $50 case
Used to go for around 190-200 euro here in euroland. Then was out of stock for half a year and now costs 275 on average.
Frick that.
cant you just 3D print a solid panel these days?
Yeah, if you have one of those huge industrial 3d printers that cost thousands of dollars. How big do you think an average hobbyist 3d printer is?
Who cares if its metal or glass?
one day you might develop some personal preferences, npc
I prefer glass since I'm not a sperg nerd loser
Buy cheap, second hand cases from the 2000s, they still work because they're literally hunks of metal.
It's been like that for decades at this point.
I don't put the glass on the side and turned off all rgb. Simple as, don't care if others want to hotbox their PC or have a light show in the room.
>buy the few models with black side
>buy old cases
>paint the glass black and turn off the rgb
>ignore cases altogether and get a test bench
But no let's whine and be a b***h instead
The only RGB I have is this case with the glass panel +graphics card, I don't give a shit about RGB but like seeing my PCs guts
With wood
I get the look they were going for with the North, but there's something off about it to me. I do like the mesh side though.
Why the frick do you care anyway? For internet acceptance points?
t. freedom of choice enjoyer
I would like to have a better priced case instead of one with features I do not want.
A black metal box, lazy cable management and stuffed under the desk away from sight. That's how it should be.
you dont, just accept youre in the minority
also the fractal torrent has great airflow and looks sleek enough. not sure what more you could possibly want
A 5.25" bay.
Mah Black person
>not sure what more you could possibly want
a place to top mount a radiator since a decent AIO is better than literally any tower cooler
>better
By what metric? Cooling? Reliability? Noise? Space?
>decent AIO is better than literally any tower cooler
well obviously not because they are barely compatible with fractal torrent
I have this case. I enjoy it. I believe I had the R4 before or whatever it was called. Black and blocky which isn't bad but I like how this case has slightly more flair without overdoing it.
>black computer
Take the beige-pill, boyos. Return to tradition.
For me it's the Enthoo Pro. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a case with external drive bays. I prefer the glass side panel though.
i dont mind a glass panel because i can see inside and know when it's time to dust it out, but i don't get the fascination with leds at all.
>wanting solid side panels
Mesh side panels is the new hotness, grandpa.
*frees you from fan noises*
Easier to just a use a fan controller. In the winter when ambient temps are nice, all my case fans shut off except the rear exhaust which spins down to 500 rpm. They only gradually spin back up when my GPU passes 50c.
Love this case. In the cool seasons it's silent and summer I swap the front plate. Wanted the fractal torrent but this was a good option
Glass side panels are fricking nice.
There should be a case that has toggable lights in something in there is messed up and lights up the entire motherboard. So many times I need to use a flashlight. Frick colors
And where does it take power from, don't say the motherboard
USB port and/or PSU when plugged in
USB ports come from the motherboard idiot and why would you install shit while the computer is on
you're really are a slug brain moron. A case can have a sub module boards with it that can accept other forms of power. Multiple ones go in with SATA to accept fan control. Think a little moron
>wtf USB only exists if the power of the motherboard is on
lmfao you know USB to power converters exist right, to charge your phone
Just slap some dumb battery powered LED light in there somewhere.
I actually liked the glass panel on mine. I think the front facing screw design is good for reaching in the case without moving it around.
Buy Silverstone. They prioritize function over form while still making neat designs, so most of their cases have ventilated side panels. Their newer ones with glass / RGB usually have a solid / plain version as well.
Silverstone cases are all ugly cheap plastic crap
Get the 4000D with the metal side panel
There.
Fixed.
Get with the times you bitter old boomer I bet you still use a Pentium 4 because you hate progress you fricking techphobe Black person.
>solid side panels
why would i want a thing like that
Didn't Ncase shutdown?
you buy a good case.
mines 11 years old now.
I have the same case.
Yeah it's great hey. I haven't heard my PC in literally 7+ years.
>HDD rack removed
>still has a CD drive
eh? I mean, good for you if you have lots of SSD storage or network storage but I'm still rocking my HDD rack.
Yeah, I've got five SSDs in there now, figured that was enough.
nice. Here's mine. I'm going to mod one of the big fans from the Torrent into the bottom slot the next time I change mobos.
I'm still using my 2012 case but I want another for cheap to put my old shit in when I can get an ATX 3.0 PSU at a reasonable price.
There's a frick load of them though?
Maybe just fricking buy the ones which don't fricking have it instead of being upset about meaningless shit.
Gayest thread on Ganker right now
I have a Fractal Design case with a window but no mesh front for fans. That said, I dunno, I like RGB.
Glass panels add unnecessary weight to your PC Case
I'd rather stop the GPU being oversized trend.
recently upgraded to a 4070TI from a 2070S and I had to buy a whole new case for it.
anyone have the 4090 9/11 meme?
how bnig is the 4070 Ti?
longer and thicker than a literal brick
It's crazy overbuilt, it's only a tiny bit smaller than a 3090, despite using significantly less power.
should I have just bought a 3090?
cuz the only reason I bought the 4070TI is because it's close to the 3090 performance but at more than 50% less of the cost in my country.
I remember seeing a case at microcenter that looked like a micro atx mini case but it could fit a full size ATX MB and I forgot what it's called
it was like half the size of my lian li case
anyone got an idea what it is?
>Nobody makes a case with a built in spot for a LED panel despite the fact that we have standard sizes for panels.
400D here it does what it needs to and im not an RGBTQIA gay anyways
3070 ti + i5-13600kf + 240mm aio cooler. Is 850W PSU enough for that? Sorry, if it's off topic
the 3070ti is a 300w card and the 13600k consumes 160w at most. You could do fine even with a 750w psu
Yeah, that's what the online calculators say as well. It's just some random youtube guy, pc builder, said that I'd need a 1000W for that. Guess I'll just stick with the initial plan. Thanks anon
Love this lil homie like you wouldn't believe.
