You can either spend your money on shit that gets you through the week and be poor or you can save it while still being poor.

Point is that Boogie claims to be poor but spends money way beyond the means of someone who's supposedly living paycheck to paycheck.
Later in the documentary he says he spent $10,000 in preparation for a promotional boxing match that paid $10,000 and that it ended up being effectively worthless. Then again, knowing him he was probably lying about how much he actually spent.

anyone with a dogshit life develops an elaborate system of coping mechanisms. for booger its buying shit. obviously his life will stay shitty until he quits the coping mechanisms, but just like an alcoholic or any addict he relies on them to keep him sane from the shitty life. it's a vicious circle. with how fricked his life is you just know not wasting money for him is near unthinkable

Now he's the same shitty person except without the money and subscribers, and he thinks it's unfair he can't live the way he used to. Those aren't coping mechanisms. They're constant indulgences he thinks he's entitled to because he wants them.
All of the bad things in Boogie's life can be traced back to him being a greedy stubborn moron. There's even a point in the video where he complains that his doctor and therapist expect him to take care of himself and that they're not doing enough to make him happy and healthy.

Or you can go to Costco, buy a year's worth of meat, cut it yourself, vacuum seal it, and freeze it. For a fraction of the price.
My freeze is full of meat, and I live in Canada. I'm not a moron paying some Mexican restaurant to put rice, beans, shrimp, and vegetables together for me.
It's not a cost of living crisis. It's a cost of luxury crisis. If people knew how to properly live within their means, they'd be fine. Because they'd save money during the good times, for the tough times to go smoothly.
Instead they waste their money on luxury during the good times, and don't know what to do during the tough times.
Grow a garden, hunt your own meat, buy whatever meat you can't hunt in bulk, learn how to can/pickle, and you'll only have to spend a fraction of your money on food.

Rice and beans can be bought in bulk, and take forever to spoil. So that's dirt cheap.
Go hunting for your meat, after 1 season, your hunting rifle and ammo has paid for itself. The rest of the time is basically free, beyond the minimal cost of gun maintenance and ammo. If you refuse, then meat can be bought at warehouse stores like Costco. Buy it in bulk, cut yourself, and vacuum sealed, then frozen. I don't buy shrimp, but it's there in bulk portions there too. Buy your vegetables in bulk, blanch and vacuum seal or can them.
But you really should be growing your own vegetables. Leafland is different than burgerville. We have gardening spots in cities, if you don't live somewhere rural. There's literally no excuse for wasting $15/meal, beyond willingly living luxury.
I spent ~$750 on meat at Costco, because I didn't go hunting this year. that's going to last me for an entire year.
You're living well beyond your means, if you're spending a lot on food. It's a cost of luxury crisis for stupid people, not a cost of living crisis.
The things you do have to buy, do cost more, but it shouldn't be breaking the bank, because you should be only buying a few things. Milk, eggs, salt, etc.

Or maybe I should just become a billionaire like Zuckerberg so I can do the hunting in the privacy of my home, amarite? Its so easy!

You really have no concept of how much meat is on an animal or how many animals you're allowed to hunt per year. Or even when you're allowed to go hunting. Buy a deep freezer, hunting rifle, some ammo, get your license and training. After one hunting season, you'll have recouped the costs you spent on the freezer and rifle. Every year after that, will basically be free meat, beyond the minimal cost to maintain your rifle and some more ammo. That's at least $1k saved per year, more if you have a family.
But whatever, choose to keep driving to the store, buying small portions, and going for takeout. Then keep wondering why you're poor and the cost of living keeps fricking you.
People who can do basic math, will be fine.

I eat bran cerial and eggs for breakfast along with tea and for dinner I either have bowl of rice, beans, shrimp and veggies at a local restaurant or I pack a cheap dinner of meat, cheese and wheat crackers, cold veggies in a bag and a piece of fruit. I don't eat a 3rd meal but I guess I lied about only eating one meal a day. I dont like to cook and I'm not stingy with money so yeah I only cook like four days a week and even then it's just some chicken, ham, or peameal bacon, whatever I feel like tossing on the stove.

I'm not going through all that, but just the shit that I have on my desk is worth more than most of his "collectibles" combined. That Big O, with its accessory set, is worth more than all of his stupid 1UP arcade machines on a reseller market. One of the examples they showed of his collectibles was literally a 12 inch, 5 POA Storm Trooper that probably came from a Walmart for $10. Then a bunch of shitty amiibos, good luck moving those, you can buy them for about $2.00 each at Half-Price Books. The only thing he does have that's worth significant value are those magic cards, and it seems like he got a quick reality check on those because he overpaid to begin with and now they've lost value on top of that (plus he's trying to sell it to a store... because losing 40% of the value of your stuff when you are broke is smart, too much trouble to put it on eBay or Mercari).

That seems more like hoarding than collecting, so I've been canceling all of the pre-orders I can bear to part with, but I still have many more... Just going to have to ditch them all, frick it. If you've seen the nonsense expansions that Canada has done with MAID, you might think twice about what you're saying.
It used to be just for terminal. Now it's getting expanded into mental, depression, addiction, and non-terminal.
It's fricking sick. It's not fear mongering at all, when people call it death panels.
Vets are getting MAID suggested, instead of giving them new wheelchairs.
A lady who went for feeling suicidal, got MAID suggested to her.
It's really fricked up here, and the Liberal Party think they're doing something good.

You're right but if America adopted MAID it would come at it from a cancerous DEI perspective that would essentially beg for white people to off themselves

I hate to break it to you, but Canada is way more woke than America. You guys are at least having the chance to push back against the trans castrations and abortions.
We're not so lucky. Abortions are 100% legal, and the Liberal Party paints the Conservative Party as trying to pass anti-abortion legislation, when they try to get more consideration for crimes against pregnant women.
The whole trans issue is pretty much a non-starter here still.
We have to wait 2 more years, for the next election, to even have the Conservatives be able to pass some laws to define women as bio-females and basic shit like that.
The woke activists have their voice in the ears of the political parties in power, and there's literally nothing we can do about it.
When the provinces use their legal options to give parents even a shred of protection over their families, the activists scream bloody murder and take it to court.
We have no mainstream media that's even remotely right-wing, and the ones who used to be centre-left, have moved into being only-left now. So anyone who's not woke, is basically silenced and vilified.
Our socialist party(NDP), at their conference just a few months ago, were acting like your socialist party with the "point of personal privilege" stuff. Only we used yellow cards, and they were still attacking the white men for having the cards.
So don't think we're not on the cusp of sending the straight, white men into MAID.

Shut the frick up about MAID. 100% of those moronic articles are about some subhuman trash healthcare worker with no authority to recommend MAID telling people to kill themselves.

If any of those people tried to get MAID they would have been denied. Because to qualify for MAID you must be suffering from a serious and incurable illness, disease or disability, be in an advanced state of irreversible decline in capability, be experiencing enduring physical or psychological suffering that is caused by their illness, disease or disability or by the advanced state of decline in capability, that is intolerable and that cannot be relieved under conditions that they consider acceptable.

These requirements are not changing, so depression, PTSD, and addiction will never be allowed as a reason for MAID

Originally he made funny skits in his bedroom as a character named Francis. Slowly he started doing vlogs instead. Then he did the classic NPD YouTuber path of stopping the content that made him popular, and just focused on vlogging. He got even more popular because of his upbeat attitude. Then he started streaming, and as it turns out, his scripted Mr. Rogers content is at odds with his off-the-cuff personality of being a /b/tard. Then people started digging, found out that he is a giant piece of shit that is not at all in line with the wokies that followed him, and they tore him a new butthole inside of a year.

That's a fairly common thing because you can take any negative feedback about you/your personality and tell yourself that it's the character they don't like and not who you actually are.

          Anonymous

In regards to the earlier days of youtube, he was good at playing a stereotypically angry autistic nerd which garnered him a following akin to Chris Chan's where people where just enjoying laughing at his rants. Once he made it overplayed the character and started to show his "real side" through blogs, people took pity on him because he seemed like a soft-spoken normal guy opening up about the shame he felt from his weight, mental health, and childhood.
These days, there's nothing about him that makes him stick out from the crowd (hell, I'd say his kind are some of the most obnoxious on the internet now), but I guess he had a relatable candor that you wouldn't get from a lot of the bigger youtubers from back then.
His descent was always inevitable especially after he blew every opportunity he had to improve. He just can't handle having to do any real work and now gets to tell himself that his irrelevance was over drama and not from him refusing to do anything to improve himself. The fact that he threw his money into cryptocurrency says to me that he never took his financial situation seriously and just assumed actual effort and have everything work out as it always has.

homie, the people you're talking to don't give a shit about any of those reasons.
The guy you responded to literally said he paid $15 for food because it was convenient. That was it.
Then you gays come in and suggest the most moronic shit imaginable to him, just fricking drive to a forest, just buy a rifle, get a hunting license, completely missing the point of what they were saying because you're so caught up in this delusion of superiority.

        >suggest to go hunting outside the city to save 3 dollars
        are you autistic?

What the frick are you talking about. Where in my post that was agreeing with you two did you get the idea that I wasn't mocking him? Going through the effort to basically homestead yourself because your royals are shitting in your houses instead of getting out the guillotine is moronic.

If you're paying $800 for groceries, you're buying too much crap you don't need.

I think he's just lying. He seems to mostly eat fast food and absolute junk. Even being as fat as he is, it's pretty much impossible to spend that much money without buying high end shit that just isn't what he displays in his lifestyle.

You could spend $30+ a day easy on fast food if you're a fatty, thats 900 a month

          >going out to eat is expensive as frick now
          >fast food also gotten more expensive, you basically need to download the apps these days to get a decent deal for most places
          >the majority of young adults I know don't know how to cook anything beyond the most basic shit so they're broke as frick when it comes to food

          man
imagine not learning how to cook

Fast food is pretty expensive nowadays, so it actually wouldn't surprise me if someone regularly gorges on that shit reaches $800 a month. Like Boogie isn't just buying dollar menu burgers, he's probably buying the full meals multiple times a day with extra shit.
It's still insane to me, I feel broke as hell if I blow more than $10 on a fast food meal.

I almost felt bad for him at the start of the video, thank god he commented on his girlfriends against prostitutes, for a split second I forgot I was dealing with a piece of shit.
It was so funny when the armchair psychologists tried to explain why he failed trying to tiptoe around the real reason: he deserves it

      it's honestly pretty simple
he's insecure as frick, wallows in self pity, and wants attention
the only person that can fix him is himself
i don't know why all these people give their time of day to him unless they want to get his money I guess when you can help people you know IRL or even your community if you actually want to help someone

People want to help other people.
Even the guy making the documentary saw Boogie, knew a lot of the information around him, but wanted to make a documentary to help him correct his image.
And he just couldn't. The guy is irredeemable. But, it's a kind of irredeemable you really have to witness first-hand to truly get it.
I've known people like boogie. They're never directly offensive, but, they're just incapable of listening and correcting their behaviour, and whilst most of it is benign, or insignificant, occasionally they frick up massively and only then do people realise their attempts to help have been utterly useless. The people trying to help them frick off, and other people who see the small little missteps think "Oh, they can't be that bad" and offer to help all over again.

I am sure the youtube money has 0 to do with it,
Shitting on lolcows makes you cash, just ask every commentary community spaz talking about muckbangers and fat women.
Or even the people who make money on Chris-chan's antics.
I am sooooo sure these people have no other angle other than "wanting to help" people.
I have a bridge to sell you bro.

        there's no fixing.
he's a success junkie, he managed to hit big and any change to hislifestyle is out of the question, he's also a consoomer in every sense of the word.
he doesn't wallow in any shit, he just noticed that whining is what brings him the most money.
he's just an irresponsible fricker who never had to deal with any consequence of his actions and now it's catching up to him
