I collect stamps, I weave baskets, I make papier-maché figurines of my favourite anime characters, I watch tennis, I play padel, I go fly fishing, I volunteer as a fire fighter, Im captain of the local darts team, I 3D print figurines of peoples dead pets etc
It sucks doesn't it? To me it meant that I had too much responsibility. I felt guilty whenever I would play.
When gaming stopped filling that void I started other hobbies that were productive and filled that void, like having kids, starting a business, growing food for my family and raising animals for food. I still game but
not a ton and usually when I'm supposed to be working. '25.1 hours past 2 weeks'
i love games arguably more than ever right now. sure modern consoles and pc gaming in general are beyond soulless, but its easier than ever to hack older consoles and access their libraries for free than ever before. 5th/6th/7th gen basically never ended for me now, there's always something based i've never played before and it will be a very long while before that well dries up.
currently playing Sega Rally and Powerslave on my Saturn
>5th/6th/7th gen basically never ended for me now
This is exactly how I feel. I get to play all the games I was too broke to play or unaware of when I was a kid. New releases being shit doesn't affect me at all, my backlog of 6th gen games alone will last me a decade.
>Launch game
>Look at title screen
>Close game

my life does not revolve around video games.

I plan to use Ganker less, as coming here coincided heavily with me playing and enjoying video games less.
it's not hard compared to what may come latter, I wish not liking games was a a problem I care about
I decided I'm gonna make my own shit. It feels more rewarding
