How do you even make a game this empty...? Like did no one playtest and realize walking miles upon miles over barren plants just to find one with life was bad?
How is it even possible to release a game like this, shouldn't xbox step in?

The planets are used for resource collection
Moons don't have native life on them but they will still have POIs like based and mines and shit
yea having like 100+ planets with life is way too low
you wouldn't get it
>Bethesda
>testing their games
So many people who aren't familiar with Bethesda games are going to play this and be incredibly disappointed when they discover that it's a Bethesda game. Same as what happened with Cyberpunk. I can't wait

I liked Cyberpunk and I will probably like Starfield. Normalgays hyping themselves into the stratosphere and then being disappointed is just part of the fun
whats up with that lighting? we see the dark side of the planet but there is no shadow on the belt
You don't understand, i'ts genius. Now the planets are blank so modders can theme them! With mods!
Man I hope there’s a Detroit planet.
'its ok when spore does it'
...was anyone unironically expecting more than a handful of Starfield's planets to be anything but empty rocks?
Aside for the kids stuck on the hype train, of course.
Wait until you find out that one of the planets is the entire world of Skyrim and you can land on it and play through the entire game as a space man.

Starfield is Isekai?
PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP
>game this empty
Why do zoomers need a draugr filled dunegon every 100 meters?
One question I haven't seem come up is: How much of each planet are we going to have access to?
Will we be able to circumnavigate these planets, or will we be limited to the area around where we land?
Todd has said things implying that you can explore entire planets. Granted he is the father of lies so that's probably extremely misleading but one thing he specifically mentioned is wrapping terrain so it doesn't sound like there will be invisible walls confining you to a square segment of the planet as you might expect from a bethesda game

I would build my base here. luv me steppes
ITs meant to be semi-realistic, even 10% having life is a lot
These sorts of threads are just bait, right? No one actually expected every planet to be lush, right?
No it isn't bait there are actually people complaining about this.
This is one of the issues I have with anons on here because they're two faced as hell. On one end anons complain about certain """demographics""" existing in a game that's trying to lean more into more grounded in its fiction. But on the other end anons complain about shit like 90% of the game filled with empty planets even though that is a real statistical figure that multiple experts and organizations in the field of astrophysics has pointed to.
Pick a struggle.
Has more life then actual space, or hell even other video games. Star Control 2 had like 20 planets with intelligent life.
the worst thing about this game is that it has generic first person shooter mechanics tacked on. I don't get how that's supposed to even fit with the rest of the game. Like you go to a planet, explore, talk to NPCs, and then have a generic COD shootout with boring soulless machine guns against moronic AI, then move on to the next planet. At least give us plasma rifles or something.
There are energy weapons if thats what you're moaning about. Have seen laser rifles, don't know if there's others.
>go to 90% of the planets
>you are now a ghost
woooooooow
So you're saying I'll have 900 worlds to terraform into a hellscape to drop my israeli slaves out of my cargohold onto? Sounds pretty based to me
