I think that gta6 is going to sell well, and make ROI. But I think people will see it in the same way they see Starfield. Just a giant let down that you play for a hundred or less hours and then drop. You'll never play it again after you finish the campaign. I think it will be like the finale of this awful as frick era.

I'm indifferent since I'm going to play through the campaign exactly once, then move onto multiplayer for the next 10+ years. The multiplayer mods are going to be insane.
I hope mods can happen. But the way the live-service will be set up will make modding extremely difficult. If the content in the game itself isn't inspirational then it will be hard to find people interested in messing with it.

Gta5 was pretty good and I considered it a good farewell ending to rockstar games.
Red dead redemption 2 was made before the race war shit today, it would of been sweet and honest. But obviously it was made because of the shit that's happening today. So the context tells the intention.
As for gta6, I mean I think it's going to be ok. There's nothing revolutionary happening. It's gonna feel like a gta5 story dlc with slightly better graphics.

Besides, it seems like it's split between her and the guy. I'd imagine that, when doing basic open world shenanigans, you can pick which one you want to play and switch them out whenever. Maybe some missions will be exclusive to one or the other, but it doesn't seem like she's the sole protagonist available.
I've watched the hour long leaks twice and it shares a ton of similarities with red dead 2. Body looting, no magic pockets for weapons, npc interaction, etc...
The gunplay looks more like Max Payne 3 too, which is the same gameplay director from RDR2 so they must've kept him on.
