The frick? I'm describing my experience playing the game in 2005 when I was in high school. WoW has always been a "fun with friends" game.
Social experiences for dweebs in a fake world are strictly for the scum of MMOs no matter the era

What? It was like that 15-18 years ago, even if you don't want to admit it.
WoW was always a shit game, but the difference was that you could form a community and have fun.
I've made some lifelong friends in WoW but the game was always shit when you look at it objectively.

The only time I actually got past the 30-40 borefest was when playing with other people.
Been playing Everlook for a bit, but so far the server kinda blows. I hate chinese. They don't wanna group, they don't talk, and if they talk they're spamming busted macros.
I'm a hunter, atleast I can talk to my pet...
Priest is just boring as frick to solo level, I'd never play one unless I was paired up with a friend.
I put audio book in the background and just do quests and shit.
Play on a pvp server and kill players, it's the only thing that gives me motivation to level.
use one of the meme addons that tell you exactly what to do then i put on some music and basically go on autopilot
i feel more motivated to log into private servers for old as frick mmos and grind out levels for hours than I am to play classic wow. the grind is so effortless that it feels pointless. new zones dont bring new dangers. even getting new abilities don't make me feel like my playstyle changes. the endless brain dead questing really is just dull.
Go shadow if you are soloing.
If heals then you are going to camp at the dungeon entrances and spam the LFG channel.
When Classic came out I got to 60 in about 2 months just running dungeons.

the shittiest classes to level 1-60 are rogue and warr by far
hunter/warlock>mage/druid>priest>rest
rogues and warriors are easy you can just go from mob to mob with 0 downtime
in retail maybe, if you pull more than 1-2 mobs at a time you die
you could not pull more than 1-2 mobs since you have no aoe anyway?
Priests are easy because you can go mob to mob without downtime because you just shield auto attack. Warriors and rogues are hell without gear because you have to eat after every other mob. It's like playing Dark Souls where you have to carefully pull 1 at a time to be efficient, and don't let anything respawn on top of you. Orange names can often require cooldowns. You're stuck doing yellow quests, unless you don't mind spending 3x the time you normally do.
simple after 30 you dungeon grind and start questing again at 50 for the comfy late game zones

Play a better version of the game (Wrath)
But you're playing on official servers so it'll be an awful experience regardless of what you do
you can pirate a leveling addon where you just follow the arrow
priest is a wandbot until the 40s, it's a comfy kind of leveling (comfy is code for boring)
Same way in any proper MMO of the day
Grouping up with randoms 3-6 hours a night to get 1 maybe 2 levels.
A good MMO should take you 6 months minimum to hit max level
