>Woody rolls up to the final boss >"you have no friends nobody loves you" >he can't think of a good comeback and just leaves
the fact that this was intended to be played straight just makes it funnier
Kingdom hearts is notorious for ranting about concepts that are never clearly established that happen to blend with an unrelated message about friendship.
They're really talking about some kind of metaphysical shit where having no friends, having evil thoughts and abandoning your body to become a shadow demons is a path to quick power but is easily defeated by people having good thoughts and strong friendships, even love, producing light magic that destroys it; but the bad guys don't see it.
If this were a good game, then all of the villain's henchmen would kneel out of respect after Woody's done talking, and the main badguy looks around in utter disbelief.
I hate scenes like this cuz it's just the good guys essentially bragging about the villain having no friends or family and being lonely. It's weird and always lacking self awareness.
Tell him he's evil and irredeemable or whatever, go for it, but "nobody likes you, you have no friends, get a life" is so strange to me. It's like jumping off the moral highground but nobody ever treats it that way.
Woody's not his therapist. He's tired of this guy's shit, particularly when he's intentionally trying to hurt their relationships for no reason other than morbid curiosity. He doesn't owe Xehanort any respect if he's not getting any in return.
When it’s a villain it is far past “hey he’s a jackass but you didn’t have to go there”. He is a villain and should probably die. I would stunt on a villain about my great friends and hot gf before stomping his skull into the concrete. Still the good guy.
Normies honestly think that having no gf or no horde of friends is enough to cross out a person. Like all those "he/she is 30 years old and alone? Something must be very wrong of them, you should stay away and definitely cancel that date!".
>he/she is 30 years old and alone? >Something must be very wrong of them, you should stay away and definitely cancel that date
Tbf dating is a numbers game and if I asked a girl out but later discovered she had zero friends I would be wary. I'd still do the date because sex, but I'd be very conscious of the fact that this person somehow cant make social bonds work.
I know girls that had zero friends and they make terrible friends and terrible partners
>he/she is 30 years old and alone? Something must be very wrong of them, you should stay away and definitely cancel that date!".
That's the logical thing to do, yeah.
Except Xehanort HAS experienced love before. He just rejected it in favor of DARKNESS. So technically, Woody was wrong here. Xehanort knows what it's like to be loved. He just rejected that love.
Woody doesn't know this obviously but Xehanort threw all his work colleagues under the bus....apparently from some memories of a life of being a biitter old man who also threw out his apprentice and broke him. All for some ideal about finding the Heart of the Universe.
It's not no friends lol. It's that this guy wasted 1 and a half lifetimes throwing people under the bus to test a theory about the true nature of hearts/universe.
>that text thats illegible on most backgrounds, has no backfilter or shading to make it clearer >this is a "AAA" major release with billions of budget
kek, leele even.
Use Zurg as the boss fight instead of a generic heartless. That would have been the perfect counter argument, forcing Woody's best friend to kill his father against his will, but who has time for clever writing amirite?
It wouldn't help because Zurg is just a larping goofball in-universe. If anything Stinky Pete would make for a more interesting KH villain, choosing to be caged and preserved forever instead of facing the turmours of reality and the possibility of being hurt by others because he never had the chance of being loved by any kid
this franchise would be much better without disney. the gameplay is already nice, make the playing trio sora rikku kairi and make them fix/discover final fantasy or original worlds. the game has some mature elements, albeit a bit cringe, but is held back by disney. it was really nice fighting organisation 13 leaders and their story was really interesting, these hollow men that want a heart again to feel emotions once more. next scene is donal duck saying some dumb shit.
And yet the game with the best story, 1, was the one where the Disney content was best integrated. I don't think the problem is the Disney content so much as the fact that Disney probably has draconian control over what they do in the Disney worlds. Disney meddling is the only thing that can possibly explain the disastrous Frozen world in KH3, I have a pretty low opinion of SE these days but even they wouldn't frick up that badly without some sort of outside force.
yes that's the point. the game would be better without them because they want too much control. i bet they can't be very creative because Disney will tell them not to stray away from original source. but yeah i agree kh1 really was good because it was still a bit "childish", but later games got a bit too serious, maybe because nomura wanted to push the story in a different direction but it doesn't work when you have to go and help ariel or some homosexual disney cartoon
"Cope"
“u are a toy blud” then I hit the griddy on him
Ha griddy
You were designed to be friendly, designed to be a sheriff.
Go against that design and you will see just how hollow you really are.
No, child, these are your delusions speaking
>Woody rolls up to the final boss

>You know nothing about hearts and love
>Because love is a kingdom
>A Kingdom Heart's™
Is there a single jap game with decent dialogue?
>jap
>dialogue
None.

>If that were true then how come I can do this?! *starts breakdancing*
Andy doesn’t love you anymore.
That was Bonnie.
Andy forgot about him doe
If this were a good game, then all of the villain's henchmen would kneel out of respect after Woody's done talking, and the main badguy looks around in utter disbelief.
>Fine speech
"I'm not your dad I just frick your mother"
And then I shoot him.

LOL some friendless loser was offended it seems.
>g-guys you'll make me turn evil if you say I don't have friends
Grow up, Black person.
When it’s a villain it is far past “hey he’s a jackass but you didn’t have to go there”. He is a villain and should probably die. I would stunt on a villain about my great friends and hot gf before stomping his skull into the concrete. Still the good guy.
if you are 13 or over and still play kingdom hearts you should be shot dead tbh
Simple "whatever" is not enough?
Normies honestly think that having no gf or no horde of friends is enough to cross out a person. Like all those "he/she is 30 years old and alone? Something must be very wrong of them, you should stay away and definitely cancel that date!".

You're right

Let him cook
Deltarune Chapter 3 Schizo Boss
>anyhow
will people ever stop stealing Ganker memes
You’re not gonna tell me Jonah Hill would have a response to Woody.
Uhh
No
I don't want friends. I just wanna score uhuhuhu
How do you respond without sounding mad?
i would beat her to death and then dismember her and bury each part of her body in a separate location very far from one another so i never get caught
Jonah Hill would not do that.
>But that wasn't my first. Was that YOUR first kiss?
>Why are you sweating and breathing so hard?
without sounding what?
BAT. WITHOUT SOUNDING BAT. AND YOU ARE DOING AN AWESOME JOB, SWEATY.
a man credit card?
Love? I do know about it... about how WOMEN play with your heart like kids play with you, WOODY... that's why I wanna destroy it! MWAHAHA
"dilate"

Get a girl to retort. Fricking idiot.
This scene is the most intense video game verbal beatdown ever given.
Yeah, so?

>Destiny is beyond his control
Isn't this against several plotlines of the series? Beyond being bullshit pseudo-deep JRPG stuff, of course
It's not about not having any friends, it's about being angry at the world for mistakes you made.
KINO
Is Haley Joel Osmont still voicing sora these days? I hope so, he was always good. I don't keep up with the series anymore though.
Shit, didn't mean to reply
Yeah he will probably be Sora untill the day he dies.
