The 'Days Remake' rumor was incredibly exciting because if it was remade on consoles, properly balanced, and given online multiplayer for Mission Mode, I think it could be a contender for the best KH game. Damn shame that it never came to be.
Well I liked the part about seeing Roxas’s story, I liked the challenges and missions and bosses it provided, I liked the character select for mission mode and I liked the equip system of Tetris block forming. It was a good game, and it deserves a remaster.
Unique leveling system, keyblades having different abilities done right, use of missions to better explain backtracking to worlds compared to 2's "the world's shrouded in darkness" bullshit, the small bits of the organization we got to see since CoM which we didn't get again until 3, a depressing ending, a convoluted name, another side-quel in a series full of them, some repetitious worlds (looking at you neverland, getting from flying from tinkerbell and then not helping her like 3 times was infuriating), and a multiplayer mode I never used but found fascinating.
It could have been better in the gameplay department, but I'd rather play it than coded or bbs. I'd play ddd over it though, even though days still has the better story than ddd.

Horrible, just god awful story that ruined Roxas's backstory. Dull, drab gameplay. This was the first blemish on KH's legacy and should have been a sign that making a quality product was no longer a priority. anyone who defends it is a shit-devourer of the highest level.

That entire sequence is beautiful. >going through the entire Castle from KH2 >beating down nobodies, that you've barely fought at all outside of training missions >"We don't accept resignations." >"I've got nothing to say to you." >getting to beat the shit out of the guy who bossed you around all game >then walking out without a word while he seethes
It's easily one of the best sequences the game has, and the movie just skips straight from the morning argument to the alleyway scene. What a fricking waste.
The same culture that hated this scene because it was too emotional and unfun is now responsible for Forspoken's writing. Irony poisoning and quips exist every moment doesn't alienate the audience and keeps them entertained, because no one watches media for meaning anymore.
No wonder Nomura lost it when Versus was taken away from him. Society wants him gone.
Pretty good experiment game. Getting to see Roxas's life in the Organization is fun. Xion is one of the most flamingly moronic ideas in the entire franchise and Nomura should have just given Namine a bigger role, if he wanted Namine to have more direct parallels to Kairi than she did, instead of remaking Kairi for Roxas's friend-group with Axel serving as Riku.
Nomura has a bit of a problem with making an entire character to serve a story role and then having no idea what to do with them after, or placing importance on them that just isn't there.
Great story but single player is pretty lacking. Multiplayer can be pretty fun though, except certain characters like Lexaeus and Riku have extreme moron strength and other organization members like Vexen, Saix, Xemnas, and Xigbar are absolute garbage
Underrated. Honestly it played just like kh1 so I don't know why people hate it so much. Plus the upgrade system was a net mechanic that balanced the difficulty nicely. I think people didn't realize it was meant to be played in short bursts because it was on a handheld system. Playing it all at once and I can see why people felt like it dragged out so much.

I hated that they brought her back in 3 I just wanted her to stay dead for good. >Organization game where not a single member is fleshed out in any way that we didn't already see in KH2. >Roxas' days being an Organization member are like 1/3rd in a coma with the rest either asking where Axel is or teaching Xion stuff. >Everything is a damage sponge and takes forever to kill. >Limited magic casts but magic is really powerful which feels terrible because it's the only way to kill anything quickly at all. >-ra and -ga spells are complete garbage with worse effects than the base level spell and nearly always deal equal damage to the base level spell.
The fact that Firaga can't home in on enemies but Fire can and yet they basically do the same damage is beyond insulting despite you having less casts of Firaga and it eats up multiple Fire tiles. >Cura and Curaga are objectively worse than just using Cure itself. >Emerald Serenade missions unless you slotted Blizzaga, the one time a -ga spell is worth it. >Agrabah and Twilight Town: The Game feat. Beast's Castle. >Stealth missions where the target you have to follow from two feet away basically breathing on them has the target spin on a dime with no warning. >The same three or four missions on repeat for every single day. >Keyblades being unique is interesting but so many of them are just terrible. >Multiplayer mode is basically unplayable if you're not Roxas, a Roxas clone, or Saix with a 100% crit weapon because they're simply too weak or too slow. >Mickey attacks so fast that enemies don't take damage from some of his hits because they still have iframes from the previous hit they've taken.
The ending and the Saix fights are the only redeemable things about the game.
One of my favorite games, and manga, in the series.
