So untrue if you mean they play on PC only. Actual gamers still play on PC as well as consoles. First of all there's Nintendo console(s), and secondly everyone who gives a shit about games knows to expect two or three worthwhile exclusives, timed or not, per generation, on Playstation.

I can only think of one decent exclusive that was released on PS4.
The switch is a different story as it is a handheld, and nintendo still seem to be making some effort in releasing exclusive games, which until recently used to be the only reason to get a ps/xbox. But I don't not care about nintendo games so the reasons for owning a console for me are exactly zero, as it is the case for pretty much anyone else who doesn't give a shit about nintendo.
And I never claimed I was a "hardcore gamer", however I do care about a wide variety of games and consoles fail to meet my needs.
No-one buys consoles for exclusives unless you're a Nintendo fan.

It is funny to remember that the primary audience for PS5 is the third world worshiping American pop culture.
