There’s a wide spectrum of goofy jokester characters ranging from the Postal Dude on one end to Jar Jar Binks on the other. I think bb leans slightly towards the former, which makes him one of the better examples

people just copy shit from 90s and 00s cartoons because that is what current 30 to 40 year olds with extra cash know. They were not able to go to comic shops as kids and were mostly ignorant of what happened in the past.

they're complex characters whose true personallities betray their appearance. beastboy's faking his extroversion to deal with emotional trauma whereas raven isn't really a moody soppy goth, she'd be a happier person if it weren't for her powers being fueled precisely by emotions.

they'd swap places if their personas were allowed to truly show. which is why they mix so well. raven wishes she could be free as beastboy. beastboy wishes to have her emotional resilience in the face of pain

Never get that, outside that shitty issue, Raven show more interest in Wally than Dick. Even in the show , Dick showed no interest on her.
It couldn't be dickgays or Damiangays (because they would prefer Maps or another new girl), andbJasongay would rather have more pages with artemis, so who want Raven with dick?

        Anonymous

Fans of the show who liked the Trigon finalie.

It was an asspull tbh. The whole “Robin you were a true friend” came out of nowhere in that show because Raven was consistently shown to be closer to the other three in different episodes. Realistically it would have been Starfire that would save her from the brink. I think that’s why Robin was chosen, because he had almost zero bonding with Raven until the end.

But yeah, certain fans wanted her to end with Robin because of that, and it got fueled more seeing as they made her get with Damien in the DCAMU

          Anonymous

Robin was chosen for that moment because he was the pseudo protagonist of the show and they thought that was the last season so they wanted the focus to be on him. The last part about Damian isn't right, Damian and Dick are treated as 2 very different characters, on top of that Dick has very little in common with his cartoon version. Raven was paired with Damian because she was a recognizable female teen to pair with the character they where pushing.

I'm kinda amazed at how popular the Titans are with casuals.I'm even more amazed it took DC almost 20 years to properly try to capture the casual audience with the Garcia/Picolo books. Didio surely has to be embarrassed for continuously dragging the franchise through the mud on purpose, resulting in only like 2 modern books being even readable/recommendable during his tenure (Johns' and TTYO).

It's a shame that the live action show was utter garbage because I think WB wasn't wrong to try to make a mature show that teens and adults who grew up with TTG or TT03 could try to watch to diverify Titans content more.

Lie. Beast Boy is extroverted and a vegan. Robin is the “stand in” because he’s the normal human that ends up being the leader with the hot alien chick. He’s the power fantasy normal kids are self-inserting as. Not beast boy’s fault he seduced Raven with his horse wiener and made them feel cucked

People will disagree with this but the show does treat Starfire like the hot one and most of the focus she gets revolves around being Robins love interest.

Reminder, Raven always hated Beast Boy because he was a pathetic annoying beta trying to gain her approval. Beast Boy was a massive simp. During the episode with Blackfire, Raven actually dated a random goth dude she met at the club. Afterwards they went to an ally outside of the club. So I'm going to assume Raven gave head to that guy first. From that episode alone, you can tell Raven's ideal partner is a gothic Chad.
