mobile game aesthetics
I don't give a FRICK about aesthetics. Is it a good game?
Sorry about your spiritual stuntedness
The design looks like something I'd build in Robocraft, a crude brick with turrets covering all angles.
I'd be actually impressed if they managed to port it onto phones and give it a sensible control scheme.
>Robocraft
Don't ever mention that game here again, fricktard. I'm STILL mad and I will never not be mad for what they did to that game.
God, I completely forgot about that game. I remember playing it when it first released, and then stopping after a while because of how P2W it was. I tried playing it a couple years later, and it was somehow way worse than before. I shudder to think of how bad it might be by now.

The devs said that they forgot to turn on an effect for the initial screenshots which is why they look so toy like. Whether they actually forgot or just made up an excuse they have improved the textures and effects of things since then and it looks a fair amount better but I still don't like it quite as much as the original. If everything else about the game is good though I'll probably get it.
it's definitely going to need a retexture mod, working orbits seem cool tho
I honestly don't mind the toy look if they go all-in and make everything look like models and action figures, but they never do. That aesthetic requires too much work.
>playing a game when it first comes out
ngmi
it's been a year
Looked much too early access for me. Despite what lots of people say though, I think it looks good. Better in fact. I always thought Sins was a pretty ugly game with great gameplay. I much prefer the more exaggerated artstyle, like homeworld.
Gay
Isn't that Sins 1?
>epic exclusive
>early access
Give it a rest, it's not really out yet
I haven't heard about it at all yet. I didn't even hear about the announcement.
Ah, that explains it. I'll see you guys in a year when it's finally out.
This.
Plus what I've seen it looks nearly identical to the first game.
This game is played out for me. I've been playing it since 2009 or 2010 I think. Sometimes I want to play it, but the gameplay is so easy for me now it's pretty boring.
Has literally nobody played this yet?
It's on Epic and not even 1/3rd done. So no, nobody has played it.
Is there any info about space structures? My favorite part of the first game was the variety of space structures and stuff you'd have going on in gravity wells. I liked watching the collectors and traders move around too.
Does anyone know anything about the "plot"? Are there still rebel factions and the need to move on because whatever the Vasari are running away from arrived?
Are they making it purely RTS or are they going to try to make it more of a 4x?
the official discord has a way to set your pronouns.
Every discord has that.
The devs and bootlickers get mad when asked about the steam release
Have they said anything about a steam release?
don't think there has been anything officially said but it usually would happen a year after it dropped on epic or otherwise at 1.0 release. early access on epic started almost a year ago too (28th Oct 2022)
They'll probably release it on steam (and maybe in early access for an expansion) about a year after the 1.0 release on Epic, whenever that is. They did that with Galactic civilizations 4 and I think many other publishers do that as well.
They can't release it on Steam due to their contract with Epic.
>BUT THREE YEAR
Those were old contracts. New contracts are in perpetuity.
who on earth is signing an exclusivity agreement with epic lmao
Any distributor knows that Steam takes a 30% cut, but is 200% more popular.
Devs would use Epic like a sugar daddy. They'd take the timed exclusivity bux, release the game as early access, have Epic users do the betatesting, and comfortably work on their project. Once the exclusivity expires, they release the complete game on other platforms. Is the other anon saying the truth about exclusive contracts no longer being temporary?
The contracts haven't been temporarily since Epic lost Hades to Steam.
most recent update was on sept 28th and they added the vasari rebels faction but are otherwise still missing the vasari loyalists and both advent factions so a steam release might still be a while off yet.
Steam release isn't happening.
the rebel/loyalist dicotemy was weak. it was a shitty way to try to compensate for lack of more races. in the end one of the two sub factions was just unplayable in mp cause it was shittily balanced.
Who gives a frick about mp, mp balance already ruined the fun of the first game enough.
hey...
why does it look like they decided to make the tec faction look like cheap knockoff mass effect ships. I can see that by the way the paintjob on the ships look.
>10 years too late
>Stellaris as shit as it is already took it's place
>Epic store exclusive
Idgaf. Wake me when it's not Epic store exclusive. And if it turns out to be good.
>Remake of 1
>Less content than 1
>Ebin Exclusive
>Mobile phone graphics
Literally who the frick wanted this. Frick these devs.
The devs have said that on 1.0 release they want it to have at least as much content as the original with all its expansions which is pretty good considering the number of games that actually have less content than their predecessors.
